I purchased a whole steer. I was driving and saw the sign. I called and they were really nice and helpful. I am a newbie when it comes to buying meat like this. They talked me through the process and I placed an order over the phone that day. They called me after the meat was ready and I picked it up. It was packaged to perfection with the ground beef packaged in tubes. Everything was cut custom to order. Just the way I asked them to package it. I thawed out some ribeyes and ny strips as soon as I got home and grilled them. They had great marbling and color. Super juicy. All I can say is what a great experience this was. Wasn’t sure if I would regret the large purchase. I don’t. I’ll do it again next year. Bring 6 large coolers if you’re picking up a whole steer and it will fit perfectly

Love this place. I called ahead to ask them to cut some filets for me. Without hesitation they did it. Their jalapeno bacon is the best for bits. I also bought their buffalo chicken tenders that are great on some salad greens. Can't go wrong with the 5 packs of brats for 25. We love the Supreme pizza flavor. I try to make it out there once a year!

This is the best meat market around. I only buy my beef and pork products from Harbachs. It’s all fresh, chemical free, and delicious! Favorites are the thin cut, seasoned, boneless pork chops and the pork tenderloins. BONUS: super sweet farm cats and in the spring lots of adorable farm kittens

We purchased 5lbs of Rib-eye steaks this past weekend. The meat was cut to order, while I waited a few minutes I had the privilege to speak with the owner. This was an extremely pleasant experience with hard working people I admire and respect. Shops like this and people like this are what America is really about. The meat was cooked that cold night in January over a campfire and it was the best steak I ever tasted.

I was traveling thru the area & saw their sign. Turned around, deciding to Support the Local Farmers. The meats I purchased were reasonably priced vs big store prices. I was satisfied with my service, the meats I purchased & the Total Price. I highly recommend this Family Owned & Operated Meat Shop. I will return, even if it takes me out of way. WORTH THE DRIVE FROM CHICAGO!!!An actual working farm with an old-fashioned meat processor, selling amazing quality beef and local meat products. We've bought from here before and make the trip every few months for: Ox-Tails, Hanging Tenders, Ribeyes and their incredible smoked bacon.Support local businesses!These guys process their own beef and work with other local farmers for their shop. They can take care of your hunting quarry as well.The cats are just an added bonus of visiting a working farm!

was traveling from chicago to galena when i spotted Harbachs meats and as a meat contisure, i had to stop. Glad I did!!! ordered some steaks that were cut to order. They were some of the juiciest steaks ive ever had. Great service also!!! Im definietly making the drive back for more steaks! well worth it!

Always great. They are very accommodating and it's always pleasant to work with them. They make it a breeze for me to organize gifts for birthdays and holidays. Nothing says "I love you" like a porterhouse steak.

Top notch butcher! I could go on with the selections and quality but you really need to discover this gem on your own. The beef jerky is the best!! Go get something to throw down on the grill!

friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people! they grow their own feed for their cows, and sell their meat. I like knowing where the meat I eat has come from, and how its been raised. can't wait to try the brats we bought!

Would Not buy from again. Ordered a hog and think we finally got through the last of it. Very old meat. Had to trim off outer edge of every ham, and bulk breakfast sausage. Camouflaged chops and other cuts to hide flavor. They KNOW when they pass on Old meat to customers! We used to raise hogs. Shame on you...
