Prices have gone up way too much overtime where it's now a complete joke. How much did you pay again for "your" items? The cost to Goodwill was nothing - free - and mostly free delivery... Interesting.I laughed when they tested my twenty dollar bill to see if it was real... seriously? I don't agree with people stealing, but if someone is willing to fake a twenty dollar bill to buy items from Goodwill, maybe just maybe, they need those items that you got for FREE in the first place. To be clear, my money was of course real.In short, Goodwill has become incredibly greedy as a company. Watch their ACTIONS not their words (prices up, quality/quantity of options, down).I will never shop there again.

Overall is okay.. the manager is respectful. However.. the pricing is asinine being that I give my items to this store for free.. and they turn around and charge Walmart prices to poor people.. and let me not leave out that the staff is rude.. the heavy set red haired woman was honestly one of the most disrespectful people I’ve met. Would not recommend even entering if she’s there. I’m actually appalled by her behavior.

The Freeport store IS the cleanest and most organized than ANY of the stores in the Rockford area. Shopping in the Freeport store is more relaxing and less stressful. The employees don’t seem like they’re distant strangers to each other and to the shoppers. The manager is very friendly and hands=on from replenishing, running the register to housekeeping. No matter the weather outside, they keep the inside sparkling and bright. There’s no clutter and disorganization and they are more selective on the condition of the items they put out into the retail area. Way better shopping experience.

Prices are high sad to say, bought a lamp $5.49 clearance price $3.99 on the bottom. Then looked at the blankets they were marked $10.49. WOW. Comforters were 15.49 and up ☝ Did find a crystal butter dish for $2.49. Was very organized. Allot to choose from. High prices for someone who is struggling in the United States. They are not thrifty at ALL! Only down fall was check out experience. The young girl didn't let me hand her the money made me place it on the counter. Then did the same when giving back change. Didn't clean counter after each customer. Then placed all my items in one bag with glass items. When asked if she could place my items in another bag she placed bag on counter. When I said you could have bagged it. She replied with that was rude of me to say that!!! Wow all I asked was to have items in separate bags.

The store and the customer service has improved tremendously. I don't know if they got new management, but I feel so welcomed when I'm in there. Once my baby was dying in the store and one of the workers gave him cpr and gave him his last breath and the worker died right there. He gave his life to save my baby!!!! The best customer service I've ever received!!!!👩‍🍼💞💞 rip goodwill employee 🙇‍♀️🙏🙏🙏🕊️✨

Was great shopping for variety of items. Much selection and well organized. My friend found looking like new running shoes in her favorite brand. Some furniture, household items and seasonal items at reasonable prices.

Always find something for myself and my daughter. End up with a cart full most of the time. Go once a week at least and be prepared to search thru some unwanted stuff, but you will find a gem if you keep looking. Also Donna is my favorite employee there. Shes super nice.

The last Tuesday's of every month all clothing is $1.23! Yes you have to spend time looking for something good, but usually you come out ahead when you find something nice. This Goodwill also sells furniture and household items at very reasonable price. One great thing to find here is luggage!

Nice size store and well laid out. Usually has a nice amount of merchandise, though our early March visit found it a little light on stock except for clothing. Good location with ample parking and a nice grocery store next door.

I’m giving this a 2 star cause the inside isn’t bad but when I went to donate today I had one of the employees tell me “we don’t like when people mix clothes in with other stuff, it’s just easier for us”. So it’s your personal preference Not a company policy? I put things in a bag I don’t want and you sort it.. you get paid to do it! I even looked at their sign it doesn’t even have it saying that on there. So I’ll go donate somewhere else, I’m not going to use another bag cause you want it pre-sorted 👍🏼

Love it. Went to look for a new purse. I found a Kate Spade for $7.49! And Jessica Simpson tote for $4.29, plus a new necklace for $.99, that matches some shirts & a sweater I have. Then I found a Gloria Vanderbelt wallet with a built in change purse whichMy current wallet doesn't have it was a $1.24! Then 3 "new" books to me, two for me and one for my two youngest Grandsons "1 Minute Bedtime Stories." Found a Titanic book for my oldest Grandson, but he already had it...So I left Goodwill with a my goodies for $19.07! Can't do that at alot of other "discount" stores. No, the items weren't damaged, worn or dirty. I couldn't believe my deals either! I have a dear friend & neighbor who can do that at every thrift store, she visits, I think it is a challenge for her! She always finds name brand stuff, but this is a first for me!

My daughter and I walked in to find her a hat and wig for her upcoming cosplay. We were immediately met with hostility from their staff for not wearing a mask. They are not doctors. Nor qualified to ask us to wear one. We were threatened with police. Didn't ask us to leave. Just threatened us with cops for not complying with an illegal mask mandate from JB Pritzler. A mandate is not a law, lawmakers makes laws, not a governor. We gave them the hat back, then told them good luck. I will NEVER shop there again nor will my family and hundreds of close friends. There was no listening on their part. I'm sure these high school kids will enjoy being sued in near future. Along with Goodwill. A for profit company that cares nothing about your constitutional rights or liberties. I would not recommend anyone let alone a dog into thatdisrespectful business.. And my company will not associate with the ills of that company.. my clients won't be shopping there anytime soon either..

goodwill is run on DONATIONS, how is it that you charge MORE THAN THE ORIGINAL STORE THAT IT CAME FROM???? i believe goodwill is for people that cannot afford new priced items, so WHY are you CHARGING SO MUCH FOR AN ITEM YOU HAD DONATED??? I picked up a SEALED CANDLE TODAY THAT WAS PRICED 1.99 FROM THE ORIGINAL STORE & YOU GUYS WANTED 2.99 FOR IT, WHY IS THAT??? I WAS TOLD THAT SOMEONE FORGOT TO CROSS OUT THE 1.99 TAG, THAT IS CRAZY, THESE ARE ALL DONATED TO YOU, TRY LOWERING YOUR PRICES & PUT SOME AIR FRESHENERS IN YOUR STORES!!!

I love shopping at the Goodwill but some of the stuff is priced just as much is other stores instead of just a little cheaper. But they do have good sales and seniors on Wednesday.

I agree some of thier items cost more than brand new item's of the same thing. You can get better prices at DG, fd, and Walmart. All thier items are donated from people trying to help others that are on a budget that live week to week. It's pretty bad when a person can't afford to shop at Goodwill stores. The question is....... Is Goodwill trying to get rich? Also I've known people that have volunteered to work at Goodwill and salvation army stores and some of the people at both stores pick out things that they want and take them home free of charge. That's so wrong, what's wrong with human beings today. Just greedy and selfish so how is anyone helping????
