Worst grocery store in Freeport. Highest prices, most empty shelves, and most useless and unhelpful employees who would rather stand around than actually greet you or offer any services. I honestly wish this would close and something else would open here. Once Kroger opens, this place will go under.

Went to Cubs today, looking specifically for strawberries. The employee in produce was stocking fresh strawberries and caught our attention right away, he was incredibly nice. Helpful and told us the strawberries were on sale for 2/$5.00 because they accidentally ordered a bunch and they didn’t want them going bad. Which was great, I grabbed FOUR packs of strawberries and headed for the checkout. When I got to the checkout, they rang up $5.99/each. I called the employee at checkout to fix the problem. She was rude, asked me if I was a cub foods member, I told her no I don’t come often. I was pretty much told “too bad” and that she wouldn’t fix the price. The employee in produce did not mention that, he was happy to add the strawberries to my cart. Before I left, I checked the price on the bunker and it said “2 for $5.00” so instead of being rude and refusing to fix the price she could of just asked another employee. It definitely shows why Cub Foods is a place people go when they need a new things, instead of getting their weekly lists there.I used self checkout. 6/8/23

I prefer shopping at this location over the over Walmart. The prices are fair and the employees are wonderful. I wanted some shredded rotisserie chicken but didn’t see any on the self. The nice lady at the deli grabbed a chicken and shredded it up for me. From the deli, to the women stocking the shelves, to the cashier, the customer service was top notch.

I wanted delivery and pickup to work well so bad but unfortunately, it does not. Gave it several tries in hopes that they would figure it out but continue to forget items and then have no options except to require the customer to make return trips. Continues to be an ongoing problem, even after making a second trip back for forgotten items on my latest order, I got another text that more items were forgotten . Even still, would not deliver the items, just want me to come back a third time. And to make matters worse, of course the charge for the full order goes through just fine before I even leave the parking lot but the refunds for the items take several days. Bummer, would be great if it worked well.

your food stand is ubeleivable. stood there for 15 min. waiting to order. listening to a guy babble about nothing instead of taking orders. another lady just stands behind the counter not asking if she could help anyone. thats redicoilous. ive came there many times. but never again. i will support someone else

You really have to be careful about their "sell by" dates since they often have expired products on sale. Also, some sale items aren't really on sale as they can be found at exactly the same "sale price" at other stores which don't have them on sale. Additionally, I purchased a large container of cole slaw two days ago after having looked at the freshness date and when I got it home I had to throw the entire container out as it smelled and tasted horrible. Had to run out to another store for slaw at the last minute.

I love this store, I always feel welcome. I got a bears birthday cake from here a week ago. It was so delicious. They have very nice people who works there. They know how to treat people.

Called to see if they had spinach dip. Not one single person knew and i was transferred several times in which each person put me on hold forever. The staff is always nice when you go in though. so theirs that.

the prices for the store brand "essential everyday" almost doubled!!! the same product at Walmart is half the price.great location, convenient hours, large selection of goods.

Cubs has great sales, unfortunately that’s the only time I shop at cubs is for their sales. Their regular priced foods are way too high. I agree with another customer, Aldi and Walmart are priced for an average family. I have a large family so I have to pinch pennies and shop the sales.

Cubs has a very good selection of everything, probably the best of all the grocery stores in Freeport, but it also has the prices for that. Definitely not on the economic budget side but it does has those things that are rarely found in the economic stores. Also, their sales are awesome, sign up for there rewards club and get tht sale items delivered right to you inbox!

Best grocery store in Freeport as far as selection goes. Fresh produce fresh meats nothing looking old or stale just make sure if you go frequently you sign up for a cubs card so you don’t have to fool around with coupons 🙌🏼

This store is a bit pricey but the sales are the only time I shop there. The deli has bad hours and the sandwiches they make are all sloppy and I have to put it all together. The hot bar is always stale or burnt.

I went inside to get fancy cupcakes and they didn't have any so I just kinda went in and then back out.However, interesting story though:So as I was walking in, inside the cart return there was a honkin' huge Hershey's candy bar for mass-producing s'mores. When I went back out, it was gone. Someone took the parking lot chocolate, and that wildly amuses me.

Cub Foods Freeport staff is always friendly and helpful. The delivery has been such a help. The only reason they get 4 out of 5 stars is they are often out of stock on needed items.

We were excited to see there was an open Cub foods here. Until we found out every weekly item on sale is only sale priced if you have a coupon. Should be only one star, becauseSALES ARE SALES, COUPONS ARE NOT SALES.

They got everything that you would want but they stopped carrying the chips that I'm pretty sure everybody enjoy them I used to get them 7 bags at a time now they don't have them anymore I should give Cub Foods at 3
