This was our first time, and we love the outcome. This picture is 4 days after grooming and includes 3 full days of rain, so her “blowout” is gone. Nonetheless, she looks amazing!My only negative is the time she was at the shop, and only because, she gets extremely stressed being in strange environments and away from home. I still give 5 stars because the quality of work deserves it.

My husband I took our two dogs for grooming here. Our 8 month old puppy had these bald and redden spots after the haircut. The staff didn’t tell us and we did not notice until in our car. Although, the staff were apologetic after we called them. We did not get a refund and now have to watch over our dog carefully with these cuts. This is not what I expect from a professional grooming service and with their high prices. At the very least, a refund and a direct notice of this injury should have be told to us when we picked up our dogs. Very disappointed.

Susan is a very skilled and respectable business owner and groomer. She is skilled at her craft, charges a reasonable price, and is on time. Allison is always helpful and hardworking. If any of this bothers you, you should look elsewhere. They are good listeners with excellent recall of your preferences. I appreciate that they do not undertake any operations on our dog that we have not specifically asked. Always make my huskies look great and customize their coats to suit them. my baby looks amazing after his bath & lion cut!! the groomer only took an hour & 30 minutes, which is great because i drove an hour to get there. I ended up going to Oak Park for some coffee & before i knew it, my baby was ready! I would highly recommend this salon.

They have very reasonable prices; however, Yuppy Puppy grooms dogs better.A person has 2 make a choice between prices & grooming if ur dog is in dog show take them 2 Yuppy Puppy.Our dog comes out happy from both places.

Took my German Shepherd and Yorkie Poo for the first time. Loved the atmosphere, greeter when you walk in was very nice,courteous and friendly. Loved the way they handled both of my dogs and how they groomed them both how I wanted them to be groomed.The services provided were definitely worth the price I paid. I give this place 2 thumbs up! Recommend to anyone in search of a quick grooming for their furry friends. Definitely going to be returning regularly for my furry babies to be groomed.

My two medium size dogs (60 & 70 pounds) had a great 1st time mani/pedi experience. I called ahead, but walk in's were being accepted until closing time. Staff were patient and kind.

I brought in my long hair cat to get a lion cut. He sheds a lot in the summer and gets some small patches of matted fur which I know doesn’t feel great when we try to brush them out. I dropped him off, and they were finished in just a few hours. The quality of the haircut is fantastic. I love the fading they did around his lion mane, paws and tail. I can tell my cat really enjoys it too. Great service!

Brought my cat in here, and they unevenly cut his whiskers and gave him a horrible lions cut. I do not recommend. You are better off going next-door to Pet Emporium if you can get the reservation this is the cheaper, lower quality option.

I love this place. I am able to drop my Princess off and they take great care of her. The hair cut and nail care is amazing. My baby has never had a nick or scratch. I highly recommend them for your fur baby's needs.

The groomers do not have a quality/safety control process to check their own work. They left the cotton balls that they used during our dog's ear cleaning in his ears. We found them 2.5 weeks later. The poor guy was walking around with cotton balls in his ear canals. We're lucky he didn't get a severe ear infection or worse! If you do use MBFGB, be sure to ask them specifically the cost - we were told $70 when we booked the appointment and when we picked him up, the bill was $100! The desk staff are new and not efficient or knowledgeable. Overall, it was a TERRIBLE experience - for our dog and for our family - my daughter discovered the cotton balls when she noticed that our dog was in pain - it traumatized her. I would never go back as I don't trust their staff, their work or their attitude when I called to discuss the severity of this issue.

LOVED THE CUT THEY DID! I have a cat who enjoys hiking and very much needed his summer shave to make hiking bearable for him in the hot summer days but wasn’t able to get Hiccup into his regular groomer until September! I phoned My Best Friend since they were just a little drive away to see if they had open grooming and they did! I had never used them before and was very happy with the cut Hiccup received! I Included a before and after. It was even better than his regular groomer!!! The groomer took all my concerns and asked specific questions on my cut and gave me back a beautifully groomed munchkin cat! Hiccup is already enjoying his new look at home! Thank you so much to the groomers. ❤️

Amazing place Awesome people.I have been taking Snuggles to Ms Susan since he was a puppy. She gave him his fist haircut and he has been going every since.I would not trust him with anyone else, she has never disappointed me.Snuggles always come out with Swagger.

My first experience with My Best Friend — I called on Saturday afternoon for a dog bath and they took me immediately. Dog bath includes shampoo, blow dry, nails cut, and ears cleaned. When I dropped off my dog, Otto, the staff was very friendly, and I love that there are windows where you can watch the grooming take place. I received a phone call that my dog was finished an hour earlier than anticipated. When I picked up Otto the staff was very complimentary of him which was heartwarming. Otto was SO clean, like silky smooth, without any perfume smell. Just clean, and dry. They even trimmed the hair around his paws. Excellent job- I couldn’t be happier 🤗🐕

Dinah did not get in her carrier right away. She had to SHOW OFF her hair cut and blow out 1st.Girlfriend did a SPIN with her ribbon before getting in. GREAT experience all around. 😂🐱💖

I was searching for a new groomer, and I hit the jackpot when I found My Best Friend. I did not have to wait an entire month before I could get an appointment, and the staff is great with my dog and very friendly. They have some exceptional artists who work there, and we have always been happy with how are little guy looks when he returns back home. Street parking is also usually pretty easy, and the staff follows covid procedures. The prices are comparable to other groomers in the area, and we usually plan for a three to four hour pick up time after we have dropped off our pup. Be sure to bring cash when you pick up your pets, bc those women truly deserve a wonderful tip.

We adopted a cat and he needed a good scrubbing. Even though we already had a cat, we’d never bathed a cat before. Having been newly adopted we didn’t want to traumatized him by trying to bathe him ourselves so we took him to the professionals. My Best Friend did a wonderful job, especially on his matted tail. He is now so clean and soft and he even seems happier.

This place is great! Owner is in the shop working and trains the groomers herself. Dogs are all well taken care of while in the shop. I would recommend trying this place for your fur babys next grooming, bath or nail trim. They also have a wonderful lady who does cat grooming.

A few times they were good after that the price went up over charging. The last time I don’t even think my cat was shampooed and had a major cut of his neck with blood. I think after they cut his neck so bad they just didn’t finish him cause it was the first time I was called to pick him up so fast and they changed me 90.00No way would I ever go back.

I have taken my cat here twice. Both times he's come out looking great! Very reasonably priced but you do need to be specific about what you want when you drop your pet off. I love the bow they put on however the second time he didn't have one when he left :(

My dogs weren't really groomed very well. Their hair was really choppy and they neglected to trim their nails on one paw. Plus they raised the price without any notice. It looked like a rush job. I wish I could find a groomer that I like and trust.

Unfortunately my dog was left with trimmer shaved marks around eyes and underbelly. He was also scratched on his private areas. When I picked him up, they told me how calm, nice and cute he was... So I have no idea why he was marked like that. To top it off, they charged 30 dollars more than our regular groomer... They are very nice and welcoming though!

Thought I found the right place for my puppy. Been coming here probably 6-7 times now. First incident was a cut close to his privates..I mention it to them not upset wanted them to know what happen and give the groomers a chance since the rest of the times had been good experience..But this time second time it the ear..not sure what they did to my puppy his left ear right after constant shaking of the head (like a lot) and he was in pain..I notice a cut dry blood...not sure if when they trim or if this is water and now an infection..i will be taking my puppy to the doctor now. He is now in pain and a lot of discomfort. I wont be coming back unfortunately.
