Nicest staff and veterinarian! I was having an emergency with my newly adopted dog with blood in his stool. I had called 5 other vets near me and no one could get us in within 2-6 weeks. I called crying because I was so worried about my pup not getting the care he needs. I talked to Debra, she calmed me down and told me what to feed him and got him in the next day. She reassured me of what’s normal when a dog is transitioning to a new home. I am so glad I found a vet I can trust!

One less star because it’s pricey. But it doesn’t mean they are higher than others. They are amazing. Organized and kind. I’m just disgruntled about cost of living since the pandemic. So I’m changing it back to a 5

During a recent boarding my dog experienced some health issues. He started symptoms on a Friday and we were not informed until Monday and he was given no other treatment until Monday other than changing his diet which he apparently wasn't eating. He went several days without eating and with violent diarrhea and they could not tell me when he actually stopped eating because kennel staff did not take accurate notes. He was 13 and had some known health issues but was fine when we dropped him off 3 days prior. I am more upset that we were not informed until it was way beyond control. We had family retrieve him early and care for him at home as we changed flights. We ended up having to have him euthanized with an at home service. To this date no one at Flossmoor has reached out to see how he was, and I keep getting post cards and emails regarding his senior care exam which he was supposed to have while kenneled. We always paid for extra pampering and at this point I'm positive that he didn't receive those services otherwise more would have been done for him. Also, I was informed they do not have anyone staffed from 7pm - 7am. Dogs are left kenneled/hospitalized alone in the building for 12 hours every night. Hence why we had him pulled by family immediately. If I wanted that kind of neglect I would have left my dog at home alone. We had been clients for 13 years. Never again.

I’ve been bringing my dog here since I adopted him 5 years ago and have to say it has gotten worse every year. We are moving out of state in a few weeks and I decided with his vet’s recommendation to have his eye removed due to glaucoma. There were no instructions given for pre-op other than no food after 8 pm. I currently live over an hour away and still decided to go here for the surgery because he is known here. I picked him up and there was no post-op care given either other than give him his medication every 12 hours. 2 days post op, his eye was bleeding severely and draining. I called and they asked if I could be there within the hour but that wasn’t possible because we live further than an hour away. I made an appointment for 3:30 and still went down to the office to see if they could get him in earlier and I had my own doc appt that day at 1:30. They called when I was 5 min away and said the doc wanted to push my appointment to 4:30 because she had another patient. I expressed my concerns and they did not care. I walked in to ask if someone could help me clean his face because I didn’t know what to do with all the blood and mucus everywhere until he was seen. No one came out to at least give instruction but the front desk was nice enough to give me some towels and told me where the bathroom was. I cleaned up his face and we left and stayed in the area until it was time for him to be seen. Doc didn’t even examine him, she just looked at him from her seat and told me everything was normal but apologized about the miscommunication with the front desk and making me commute. It’s currently Sunday, 4 days post op and his eye is so swollen it looks like there is a golf ball inside. They are closed today, I called and requested their after hours line to have her call in a prescription for antibiotic and was told that wasn’t possible today. I left it alone and emailed the request. It’s currently midnight and his eye started bleeding from the area that is swollen where no surgery was done. I called emergency vet near me and was told that if he needs an eye specialist there is nothing that can be done until morning and to be checked in before seeing a doc for general assistance the fee was $249. After just paying for a $1500 surgery while in the process of moving out of state they have put me in a very difficult situation, emotionally and financially. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE TRUSTING PEOPLE THAT DONT CARE ABOUT THE WELL BEING OF YOUR PET.

Flossmoor Animal Hospital took excellent care of my elderly cat who recently passed away. I now have adopted another cat and I would not take her any place else. The staff is so kind and the care provided is the best!! Highly recommend Flossmoor Animal Hospital.

I am sooooo disappointed in this Hospital. This was the first place I decided to take my 6month old dog at the time (he is now 2) and he was examined by Dr. Rauch each time he went. Before coming in, we expressed that he is a fearful dog so we were prompted to muzzle him. Dr. Rauch proceeded to poke him for his examine as I kept his attention and for the most part we were able to get everything done, however she did not want to do his blood test due to his stress level and his aggression. I previously called in months ago in regards to his anal glands and in order to do that she basically stated she wont do it unless i neuter him which was never an option for me or he’s sedated which was understandable, but then stated the sedation may not work and Ill still have to pay around $500 for a sedation that does not work… I asked the receptionist if the doctor could give me a call as I was just trying to understand and this lady completely ignored me for months even with me emailing until I received an email about his heartworm meds. i then reached out again for the receptionist to tell me that Dr. Rauch doesnt want to talk to me and would prefer to discontinue care with my dog. Now im all for her protecting herself, however my dog has never been viscous or tried to bite, he just barks then its the saddest case where as a doctor, you cant even communicate with me, but just terminate him as a patient and instead of the hospital just giving him a new doctor, the receptionist Melony was just sorry about them not wanting to work with him and its so frustrating because i still have not been able to get answers to any of my questions that has been for this doctor! I then requested for the hospital manager as this is really ridiculous. I would never recommend this place to anyone if this is how their Doctors treat clients and patients as this is very poor practice and really hurtful.

The doctors and staff are super knowledgeable and always there to help. Vaccinations are a bit pricey and grooming is booked weeks to months out but worth it once we do get an appointment

Best clinic in our area for boarding and medical care. And their hours of operation could not possibly be better. Also, if your pet needs to be admitted for a medical stay, Flossmoor Animal Hospital is one of the few in the area that can accommodate that.

Dr.Willard and her staff are second to none. We thank our lucky stars we found her - she cares for our Lillith as if she were her own beagle. 💥👊🏼💥

For me and my pets they have been the best for nearly 30 years! Many dogs, a few cats and a turtle! Boarding, grooming and dealing with elder pets, they have always been compassionate, accommodating and professional.

2 vet appointments and 1week boarding didn’t go as planned. 1st appointment, I asked for a quote prior to coming. I was told my bill/vaccines would be between $108-118, it was $194. 2nd appointment my pup vaccinations were performed out of sight, in a secluded area which was different that 1st visit where the vaccine was given in sight. Nevertheless, decided to use them for boarding while I vacationed for a week. I asked for extra pampering twice a day which cost $5 for each 10 minute session. Upon pickup today I find out, they didn’t do it. Therefore, he’s been caged for a week except for a potty break. I also didn’t get a response when I asked how was my pup doing in their chat portal. Now I have to go back and pick up a toy they forgot to give back which leads me to believe he wasn’t allowed to play with it while caged. 3 strikes and you’re out!

So thankful for this clinic, the doctors, and techs. My 4 month old puppy was in a lot of pain and puking, so they graciously squeezed her in and performed emergency surgery on her that day. Dr. Frizzell took such good care of her and helped put me at ease in an overwhelming situation. So thankful to this team for saving my baby!

Flossmoor Animal Hospital has to be one of the greatest animal clinics I've ever been to. It is clean to the point of perfection. I found the building to be extremely modern. On the service side, I could not give enough credit to everyone. From the front desk all the way to the back office, everyone was extremely nice, hospitable, and professional. My dog has a severe case of epilepsy, and the doctor was kind enough to break down how everything worked, coming up with a plan that best suits my dog without trying to go overkill and stack me up with fees, which is what Markham Animal Clinic(now moved and called Homewood Animal Clinic) had been doing to us for almost ten years. I could not sing enough high praise to Flossmoor Animal Hospital. Bless all of you for all the work you do! 10/10

I have been taking my cats there since 1999. I've known nothing but compassion, care and professionalism. This handsome 9 year old was rescued by them and cared for by them before I adopted him.

My senior cat recently had a first visit to Flossmoor Animal Hospital. I was very impressed with the entire experience. The staff were very friendly and supportive. The facilities were neat and clean. The staff had a genuine concern about my cat's health and provided the best treatment, care and follow-up. I really like that there were no hidden cost and they made the health care for my cat very affordable. Kudos to Dr. E.

We have seen 3 vets here, and all are wonderful! Our baby boy kitty is suffering from andenocarcinoma, and they are taking superb care of him. They are also very conscious to not run unnecessary tests and procedures.

After our longtime vet from Richton Park retired they transferred my grand dog maybach records here. My daughter would bring her dog for checkups and she would always say her dog always felt uncomfortable there and she felt like they were only concerned is with money. Well I experienced this place on Saturday July 1st, Dr Lauren Rausch is the most nastiest racist nonprofessional medical vet I ever met. Maybach is 10 years old and was recently diagnosed with diabetes which is extremely bad. We have been following all her medical advice giving her insulin but she wasn’t getting better mind you every time we went the cost was 300 or more which was 3 visits in a two week time. This woman basically accused us her not taking care of her properly didn’t trust us, yes we need to bring her and pay the 300 and more every time, or pay the 4000 dollars to have her hospitalized or put her down all spoken in a loud yelling voice. After we questioned her she then told us to leave said she wasn’t giving us the paperwork she recommended all the while yelling. I’m sorry that’s not professional at all, how can you tell a pet parent of over 20 years harsh words of that nature who is trying to deal with all this information. My daughter and I felt belittled, she spoke to us like we’re ignorant and since we can’t afford this care we don’t deserve having any pets. I’m very disappointed disturbed and downright disrespected by this Dr Lauren Rausch that I will make sure my reviews go to the vet medical board as well. I will not stop until there is an official apology from this doctor or she is disband from her services as a veterinarian. Its sad because this might be a clinic with good staff but this doctor put this entire clinic to have the results of this bad review. Dana McClure

I have been coming to Flossmoor Animal Hospital with my senior rescue pup since October 2017. In the last 5 and a half years I have never had a bad experience. In fact I moved and there are plenty of vets closer, but this office has always been kind (especially Dr Willard) and knowledgeable so I drive the extra 10 mins.

We will never bring our dog back to this facility. We moved to Flossmoor two years ago in 2017 and have been taking our German Shephard dog “Taj” to this facility for Vet visits, to get groomed as well as to get boarded while we are out of town. This seemed like to good idea since we like to support our local businesses in your facility is more conveniently located near our new home.A few months ago (in May I believe) we went on vacation and had Taj boarded at your facility. When we got back and got Taj home we noticed that Taj’s testicules were red and swollen. My Husband took him back to the Vet at your facility and we were told that he had an infection that was caused by him laying on a hard surface (like Concrete) for long period of time. That it had irritated the skin on his testicules. My husband informed the Vet that he is a house dog so the only time he would have been laying on concrete would have been while he was being boarded at your facility if the pins that they are kept in have concrete floors. Regardless, we paid Vet bill and got the antibiotics that the Vet recommended Taj’s gets to treat the infection.Over this past weekend we brought Taj back to this facility to get him boarded and groomed while we were out of town for the weekend. Prior to Taj being left he did not have any issues however, we picked up yesterday and when we got home we noticed the same red swollen testicules that he had the last time he was left at this facilities. He also was not grooms and my husband was told Taj was acting too excited when they took him out to groom him (which would make sense if he was left in his pin the whole four days as I assume due to the infection having reoccurred).I called today to file a complaint but was told that if the infection was caused by Taj being at their facility we should have left a blanket or something with him while he was being boarded.I think it is absolutely ridicules the type of care that I imagine that Taj received in your facility and I feel even more so insulted that we will once again have to pay to get him treated for an infection that was caused by the conditions in your boarding facility. I am very shocked and disappointed in the care that Flossmoor Animal Hospital has provided. We assumed that since Taj has been board many time before at other facilities that Flossmoor would be just as good if not better than the others for Taj.

This is an exceptional place. We have a large dog and I’m getting old such that he is hard to handle. Nicole came out to our car to get Hugo into the exam room. She is a super care giver. Helped him relax through his blood draw and numerous shots. Great job!
