Clean country style atmosphere that could use some new bench seats. But that was not a deterrent in any way.I was there during brunch hours. The waitress was, friendly and while busy multi-tasking kept an eye on my table to make sure my order came out promptly, my coffee was topped off and checked to make sure everything was okay. The food portion was generous, (especially for what I paid), and not over seasoned. Which was good because you can always add seasoning to your individual taste. It also was not too far off the highway and there are two gas stations in that vicinity. So if you are in the area, give it a try.

Fantastic food. Owner waited on me cause waitress looked over me and helped a 4 person table that came in after me. But nevertheless the owner saw it and came and served me throughout my dinner. I had the country fried pork chops with mash potatoes and salad bar. Delicious food. I’m a driver and there’s a Truckstop across the street. I’ll definitely come back. The owner is on top of things. Very appreciative for his service. Thank you

the service was absolutely HORRIBLE. my husband and I walked in and the sign said seat yourself. so we did. After a few minutes we heard one of the waitresses say " guess they won't get served if they sit over there"we got up and asked what she said. we said we heard you and told her she was very rude. she said that's fine. needless to say we left. it was our first time in there- NEVER will go back. Very disappointing to have been treated that way. if we weren't allowed to sit there with other customers that was not the way to handle it... at all!!

I ordered $60.00 worth of breakfast to-go and tried to feed my grandkids and myself and daughter. We got sausage gravy and skillets. It was SO salty, no one would eat it, myself included! All the food was thrown in the garbage! I called and the manager said she would give me credit as the kids (both under three) were so hungry we just whipped up a quick breakfast at her home instead of making the kids wait once again, for breakfast. A couple months later I tried to get my “credit” and called three times! The first time I called the manager wasn’t in and she gave me her time she would be there, so I waited and called two more times over a period of an hour and manager still wasn’t there even though it was now lunch hour?? In a world of caller ID someone could have returned my call, or even taken a message, but I believe I was getting the run around as they did not want to make it right for the sum of sixty dollars. As a business owner myself, I would never, ever do this to one of my customers!! I now spend my money at Dewey’s as their food is always delicious!!

A small-town, hometown family restaurant with friendly service, a large menu, all-day breakfast, generous portions, reasonable prices, daily specials, senior specials, a salad bar, and a kids' menu. The food is hit or miss for me, but the fries alone are worth stopping in for, and they make a good Monte Cristo using real slices of turkey, not deli meat. Accessibility is also pretty good — both for truckers and for wheelchair users.

Good place to eat. Food is good and generous portions. It was a little expensive, and service is slow when they are busyParking: Not many designated handicap spots, but plenty of spots away from marked parking spots to park if you can't get a marked spotWheelchair accessibility: Two ramps going from either side of the parking lot to get in. They are a little steep though

I found this place by accident while WB on i74. The signs along 74 said truckers are welcome.Unfortunately, and this is not the Cafe's fault, the lot where trucks used to park was seperate piece of property, not owned by the Cafe. That lot got sold and the present owner has it blocked off. There is room for 4 to 6 CMVs as long as the drivers are not mere steering wheel holders, but rarher real truck drivers.Any how, the food is great, and the deserts are worth the visit alone. And the waitress I had is delightful.Eat here!!!!!Lastly, how can one not eat here when you consider that Morher Teresa's picture is hung upon the wall."73"

Small town cafe. Friendly staff and large portions for the price. 2 large pancakes with two eggs cooked your way and choice of meats with a coffee was around 10-12.00

Stopped by for a lunch break from the road. I ordered a BLT and it came with soup and salad for $7 & husband ordered a Pony which is Central Illinois classic but heart healthy it is not. Service was great and my sandwich was served as requested, no mayo and on wheat.

6/8/231031 hrs. just filled my truck up with oil and fuel next-door to Casey's. Didn't realize this place was here pulled over parked gas station next with my semi. Walked in there was a group of about 12 people. They are the Sacred Heart church they meet here on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings quite an energetics group very friendly. We joked and laughed. Really appreciate you all, I have a really nice salad bar here and soup is included. It's a better healthy meal for me right now. I'll stick with this plenty of room to take a nap across the street. If you're a truck driver of course you can get fuel they're my discount was from Casey's, thanks to everyone in the neighborhood. It was a very enjoyable visit and I haven't even left yet. The Sacred Heart Church said this is the place.

Great, high quality food served in generous portions. Everything is fresh and fast. There is an amazing salad bar on weekdays, and there are always multiple specials. Mickey and crew know what they are doing. This place is a blast from the past that will bring back memories of the classic diner you loved. Quiet, with that small town but diverse atmosphere. The Reuben sandwich is amazing and you have to try the baklava and the pecan pie. There is no better hamburger and fries in Central Illinois!Vegetarian options: Amazing salad barKid-friendliness: Happy families here.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp

I try to stop whenever I'm commuting from Iowa to Indiana for work. So do a lot of my coworkers. The Farmer Cafe is very well known at Hardi North America as a "must stop" for excellent atmosphere, great service, good prices, lots of great food, and all those "sinful" desserts in that pie case. For as long as they're open when we pass through, and for as long as we're traveling, we as a company will spend our money there.

The food is absolutely amazing! It tastes like they just picked the blueberries, sliced the potatoes, ground the coffee, I mean everything tastes like it's from scratch! The server is so warm and is very good at her job. She wears many "hats" , and makes it look easy. I will definitely be back and I'll bring friends!😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
