As this was my puppy’s first deshedding experience, he was very anxious. The groomer was very patient and stopped grooming early to keep it as positive as possible. Even though this reduced my bill, she did what was best for my dog.

Clean PetCo up and Sanitize so that the pets do not catch kennel cough again. Do not allow the workers to call you on the phone and have the speaker on. It's against the law. My dog is 11 lbs. She was mistreated and shoved into my arms. They are not very trained there. They need responsible people , Speaking of Adrian. They need a good cleaning crew. There is dog urine in areas around the place and in the store. Be careful mine was mistreated and she is a good dog.

I have a Great Dane and was a little nervous about how he would react, or how he would be received because of his size, but the staff was very welcoming and he took to his groomer pretty quick. Overall, it was a great experience for both me and my dog. I will definitely be bringing him back.

Adrian is the bees knees - so kind and patient, and so good to my girl! When we went in today for Doechi's appointment, she got SO excited to see them come to the counter. I can tell that Adrian gives her tons of love while she is there. The first time Doechi went in, she had an accident in her kennel and they had to bathe and blow-dry her twice. I felt so bad, but Adrian was super nice about it. Her Miami cut today came out SOOOO adorable. Adrian was totally accommodating with my concerns about Doechi's ears, happy to shave them instead of plucking them.Also, the value cannot be beat!! I was prepared to shell out $$$ for such a cute groom/style, but it was surprisingly affordable.The person who called me to let me know she was almost done was also SUPER sweet. I highly recommend this facility for all your grooming needs! 10/10

Desiray always does a great job with Tinker. Unfortunately at checkout, I did not have my phone with me and even though I am a Petco member, was not given the discount for the grooming service.

Regan did an amazing job. My dog is anxious and she was so great with him. She also did a great job with his nails. My sister and I agreed that this was the best nail trimming/buffing that either of our dogs has ever had.

Had an appointment at 2 ,got a call that bring him in early at noon. Got Gunner there around 12;30. Very happy with the move up. The groomers helped me decide how I wanted Gunner groomed. When I picked him up about 3 hrs later he looked great.

Before I share my experience, I should start by mentioning that I would choose Petco 10/10 times before any other pet store. With that being said, not even 24 hours before this experience, I visited this location for the first time and was provided phenomenial customer service from Crystal. When I walked in there was a display advertising their new Vital Care promotion. I had several questions regarding the program and Crystal was there to answer every question and walk me through the registration process.The program allows you to bring your dog in for unlimited nail trims and teeth brushings, so I called to make an appointment. Annie was very helpful putting me in the earliest slot available at 2:30. On the phone, I mentioned that I just signed up for the Vital Care program which Annie seemed to understand that was the reason I was making this appointment to take advantage of the teeth cleaning and nail trimming included in my new membership. When I dropped my dogs off, there were three dogs already being groomed from what I could see. When I was told it would be 2 hours I didn't question as they were obviously busy. I signed the papers, thinking they were related to their rabies vaccines and consent for their teeth cleaning / nail trimming, however that was not the case. After receiving a phone call that they should be ready for pickup in 20 minutes after they are dry I immediately questioned if their bath was complimentary or included in the program as I did not ask to have my three dogs bathed. I was told that I did in fact say that I wanted them to have a bath ( I literally bathed my dogs three days ago) and that appointments are not necessary for teeth cleaning or nail trimmings as those are walk in services (not sure how anyone would know that without being told perhaps by an employee when you make an appointment over the phone for the first time) to which I replied there must have been a miscommunication as I never once said they needed bathes and it was assumed on their end. Once I arrived, I was told that their supervisor, Annie whom I had made the appointment with earlier, would be back to discuss the miscommunication. She handed me the paperwork and said that I can go to the cash register to pay for my services, to which I readdressed said miscommunication. This is when she tells me that I did in fact say over the phone that I made a bathing appointment for all my dogs and that had I not wanted them to get baths I could just walk in (again 1. COVID restrictions 2. how would I have known that without being told over the phone that that was not necessary). She proceeded to tell me that they would cover the baths for the dogs and that my dogs and I were no longer welcome at their groomer at the Fairview location. I was genuinely surprised over Annie's harsh reaction and lack of customer service over honest miscommunication, she said it was a hectic day excusing her behavior.Annie then gets the manager involved. I would not have gotten as upset as I did had I not been accused of lying and belittled by the neighborhood Petco employee, but Annie was unbelievably unprofessional and condescending. To my surprise Crystal, the woman who was so kind and helpful the day prior, was the manager who came to resolve the issue. She took the baths off, said that she would address the situation with the grooming staff as soon as possible and assured me that my dogs and I were welcome back if I wanted which is the only reason that I am giving this review even one star.Again, knowing that majority of reviews are from negative experiences I just want to highlight that other than the terrible experience with Annie I really appreciate everything that Petco has to offer my fur babies but will not return to this location again.

I received a text hours before my scheduled appointment that my appointment was being cancelled due to the groomer having some sort of emergency and that I would have to reschedule. I understand emergencies happen, but there wasn't any assistance in helping reschedule my appointment. It was all on me to try an look online, which showed the next appointment available was a month out. It already took 3 weeks to get this appointment with everything COVID related going on. I called and left a message and asked for assistance with scheduling an appointment sooner. I received a call maybe an hour or 2 after stating they had an appointment cancel and that I could bring my dog in now, which at that point in time I was committed elsewhere. So I responded that the soonest I could be there was in one hour. Which in turn ended up to be the same time as my scheduled appointment. The lady who called didn't seem to thrilled, but she said ok. I dropped my dog off and was told he'd be finished in 2-2.5 hours. I wasn't able to pick him up till almost 3.5 hours later. Again, I understand they were most likely short handed and trying to accommodate me, even though I don't understand how they cancelled my appointment but still had me come in around the time of my appointment. All I know is the process was more complicated than it should have been, but I was grateful to be able to take my dog in the day I was scheduled.

I wasn't sure how long it would take. Was longer than I expected but my puppy is nervous and she was handled with care. She came back very fluffy and clean. She seemed to enjoy it as well (at least toward the end anyway )

I have to say I’m extremely disappointed in this particular store. They sold us on the vital care program a couple of months ago when we were there for our initial dog grooming. We’ve been paying for the program for two months now. I have tried for three days to get our dogs in for grooming. I have left two voicemails and actually took the dogs to the facility this morning for drop off refresher services only to be told they are booked until the end of July. When selling us this program one of the key points was the drop off services and the 30% off for full grooming along with the rewards dollars every month to put towards dog food. It’s probably a good program just not at the local Fairview Heights store. I called this morning to try to get a manager and the phones were not even operational until 10 AM. Then no one answered. I canceled my membership and I will not encourage anyone else to visit the store.

It took over 4 hours to get my Yorkie groomed. I want very precise with how I wanted her cut. Everything was great, except her ears. I forgot to ask to have them tipped. 😅

Ace got the spa experience...came out smelling fresh, nails trimmed...and was finished within 25 minutes..great experience

The associates working were extremely helpful and accommodating. One of them lifted my dog for me, she also cleaned up when the dog had an accident. I'll definitely be going back.
