Store is always clean. Workers are friendly. Hot bar is hit or miss. A few times I have eaten from the hot bar and I have gotten stomach ache immediately after. I will not eat from the hot bar again at this location.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my mom who had a bad experience last Saturday on 2/17/24 at the deli section. Keep in mind I never had a problem with the workers here and I’m always satisfied with doing my grocery shopping here at this specific location. On Saturday the 17 at around 7-8:30 pm my mom arrives and heads to the deli section and an employee helps her and she tells him she wants 1 pound of cheese and so while he’s slicing the cheese my mom decides to go and grab her shopping cart she left by the fruit section and then then the employee helping her calls her and then tells her “anything else ?” With an attitude and slams the cheese on the counter, my mom is completely baffled and then tells him what was his reason for his attitude and she then stated she was going to report him to the manager and the man then goes on saying “I don’t care what you do go ahead I could careless” so my mom ends up reporting him to the manager and I’m not sure if they ever did or said anything to worker but he really shouldn’t be working there if he can’t handle dealing with customers let alone disrespect someone like he did to my mom. I bet he does this repeatedly and his behavior is absolutely disgusting.

Very clean store ,plenty fresh fruits and veggies to choose from ,the hot food selection is good but they need to make small portions. Nothing like a fresh bakery!! Cashier's are kind

It's truly hard to rate this store. Given the fact that on one hand their produce section is the best around!! But definitely one of the most expensive around also. So if Your money is tight this is not the place to go. Their meat department basically the same thing they're Meat cuts are fantastic!! But you'll definitely pay for it. So in closing, If money isn't an issue this is a fantastic store to shop at!!

The location is clean and nice. Gave it a 3 star because I asked the people at the sushi bar if they knew if there were any cooked beans? The woman said something in a foreign language to the guy and the guy asked what I wanted. I asked him if they had any refried beans and he said go to the meat department. He just sent me off. He could've just directed me to someone else if he didn't know. They were rude. I've always had a food experience at Pete's.

Weigh your bag of grapes. The workers pick and eat from the bag. Do it in the back bro not in-front of customers.I asked a worker for an organic item, he tried to give me a pesticide item starting with a #4 stating that they are the same. I told him organic starts with 9, and their 5 digits numbers. He finally said they don’t have any. I asked another guy and he found it.They have a gluten sign, don’t think it means gluten free. A large amount of items in that store have gluten, why is that sign not everywhere else?! The gluten free stuff has no sign.Three stars for the amount of organic items!

If you enjoy cooking shows this is the place for you. Smaller than most avg grocery stores - the selection is outstanding. You can stop a variety of food cultures (Latin & Carribean, Middle Eastern, Asian) that other chains simply don't cater to. Shop frequently to take advantage of their sales - that's where you find value. Recent trip scored Herbs d Provence for $4 normally $7, another trip scored pasta for $.89. Best part is this is a neighborhood grocer, they carry all the staples. Happy shopping!

The store is bright and cheerful. The fruit and vegetables are beautifully displayed. The hot and cold bars will bless you. A great alternative for retirees who don't feel like cooking. Food is GOOD.

This Store is my favorite always clean amazing prices and deals and the best part the homemade food is so delicious 😋 my kids love it the sushi 🍣 and broccoli o soup 🍲 and me all a variety food .The fruits and vegetables always fresh.Thank you all the staff are nice and friendly very highly recommend 🙂👌

I Keep experiencing my items not being in my cart. I came to Pete's last Sunday and had 5 items missing when I got home. I came back with a receipt and all and the store manager (Steve) looked at the cameras and acted as though I left my bags in the cart and that was not the case. He didl et me get my items I didn't receive but I felt a bit disrespected. Moving forward to today i didn't have three items in my cart! I'm not sure what's going on with the baggers but they are really dropping the ball on making sure all bags are in the cart. Highly upset because I paid for those items and food is way too expensive!

I wish the staff was more diverse! Most of the workers are friendly and helpful but a good portion of them don't speak English. I like getting my produce and meat at the store. I just noticed the lack of diversity in all the stores.

Don't buy farm raised catfish from Pete's. You pay farm raised prices but they give you Chanel cat fish.A few years ago they passed a fish call swai off as farm raised catfish you could only get it filled so you couldn't tell what you are getting.

This is by far the worst Pete's I've been to. Quality control here is non existent. Multiple times I've looked at the fruit, strawberries In particular and they have been moldy. They have pre-made salads that have been sitting out for days and lettuce at the bottom is yellow and looks like it's rotten. This last time I bought yogurt and came to find out it was already expired when I bought it. Go the the Pete's in bridgeview on Harlem you will get much better quality products. I will drive twice as far to avoid this place when I can.Update As of 9/24 looks like the quality control hasn't been changed or they just don't care. Multiple cases of moldy strawberries on the shelves.

10-31-2023 Today I wanted some bread pudding, so I went to Pete's. I was not impressed today at all. The recipe has been changed and the raisins are smaller. I was totally disappointed, I won't be going back for those squares they cut up. It doesn't even look like bread pudding. FIX IT

I love Pete’s especially the food bar. There is such variety of foods that are yummy, tantalizing and just juicy good. I love eating in the sit down area where I munch while watching TV. For me, that is heaven!

Make sure everything is in your shopping car, because once you leave, they don't respond or check the cameras like I asked.They charge me for some products that Ididn't take home.Tracy was rude when I called and she refused to do something about it.She just said there's nothing I can do about it man😡😡😡after all.

I love the fruit and veggies. However they need to hire more black people in that store. There are a lot of black shoppers, but very very few employees. Today is October 28th I don't understand why I am not represented as a black person who shops a lot. There is no black people in this store working and the manager could not tell me why!
