The staff at the Evanston Bentley's is always super friendly and helpful! James, the groomer, is so sweet and gentle with my anxious senior dog. She always leaves fresh as a daisy, soft, fluffy, and calm. Thanks guys! Pixie and I are so grateful for you! :)

Great experience with the new groomer at Bentleys. She listened carefully to what we wanted and my like long-haired Mini-Dachshund was trauma free when he emerged all trimmed and bathed.

Hey! Please please set up a system for all grooming services? I always have a hard time getting my pup in for a nail trim - I get it’s not the main act but it’s important to me to have her in and get it done. The first time I came in I was told groomer was there but it’s call ahead / walk in and 15 mins notice is preferred so we went home untrimmed. Since then we always call and our calls frequently go to voicemail. Today I called and no answer so I stopped in (expecting to wait since we didn’t get a phone confirmation) and was told it would be about 40 minutes, I was happy to wait! I checked my phone for the time so I could get back on time and proceeded to take my dog for a walk. I came back 45 minutes later so I was late by 5 minutes when I was told he waited 55 minutes and had to leave.I am a bit frustrated that in the 3 times we have been that nail clippings aren’t scheduled, and these little miscommunications have happened a couple times now leading us to go a long time between appointments when it doesn’t work out. I really liked my experience with the groomer himself, so kind and does wonderful. I get nail clipping is not as long as a full grooming but would appreciate if our time was valued more. I plan to get her nail care else where from now on unless you would be willing to have a virtual wait list, appointments, etc… some sort of commitment and system for nail trims would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't even purchase anything on this visit, I just popped in shortly to spend a moment the other day while waiting for an appointment nearby, but I had to write a review to say I was so wonderfully happy to see that both members of staff in the store when I was in were wearing quality N95 masks! I will absolutely be back when I'm actually shopping, I try to support businesses that actually try to keep their community safe in an ongoing pandemic, especially since we are in another surge right now with hardly a mask in sight, I've mostly been purchasing pet food online because I avoid going into stores where I don't feel safe and it's lovely to see I have an in person option here.Update on 10/22/23I tried to go back the other day and staff were no longer masking so I left immediately. Another disabled friend who I had mentioned the experience to told me she heard they fired the manager of this location who was immunocompromised and the reason this store took Covid precautions. I'm truly appalled and will never give my business to a transparently ableist business again.

Love the store. Love the staff. I know it's a franchise but it's a local owner. It's expensive but they have what I need and they provide curbside service and a points / rewards system so I do get value for being a frequent buyer. Staff are all pet lovers and many of them have side businesses as pet sitters/walkers. The groomer is great!

Whenever I let my dog decide where to go on our walks, he brings me here. The employees are always so nice and do all they can to help us find what we need. And my dog loves sampling treats from them. There’s not as much selection as at the big box stores, but that’s because Bentley’s only carries the good quality stuff and they’re familiar with the products.

Ruth & Charlotte took time to walk me through a plethora of options for my food-sensitive Weimaraner. I left the store with more knowledge than my vets were willing to share with me. and I was even told that if what I purchased didn't seem to work, I was told to come back so we could try other options. My concerns about my dogs quality of life have never been addressed with so much care. Bentley's of Evanston has made a convert of me. I will never go back to Petco/PetSmart for either of my dogs needs going forward based on the level of customer service I received from both Ruth & Charlotte at Bentley's of Evanston. 5 stars for sure!

They have a new groomer, James, who is awesome. Fantastic with your pooch. Your dog will come out smelling and looking great. I highly recommend James over at the Evanston location!

It's a small store but you can find some things that other places don't sell. I sometimes buy peacock feathers for my cats to play with. The store costs are average or more and they sell only higher quality merchandise. If you are looking for Purina products, don't come here.

Love the staff! They're knowledgeable and kind, going above and beyond for our pets and us. Wish their higher ups would let them stock what they know customers need/want, though. They seem to always stop selling stuff as I learn my dog likes it/them!

Knowledgeable staff and wide selection of natural products for dogs and cats. Also a great place to stop on a walk and pick up individual chews or toys. The staff will undoubtedly spoil your pup while you shop!

Bentley's Pet Stuff had helpful friendly staff when I visited. I went in for a few cat toys and treats and was able to pick it up and find it quite easily. It looked like they had a great selection of foods, treats, and toys for both dogs and cats.

The staff here are super attentive, very kind, and always loving to my doggie. We have such a good time while there that my dog drags me back to this shop whenever we're walking in the area because he knows exactly where they are located!
