Very happy with the prompt response from VCC. Jason and his partner arrived and assessed our chimney damage and gave us a reasonable price to replace our metal chimney cap. Jason was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. They were a pleasure to deal with and took the time to answer all of our questions. They did a great job and will surely call them in the future.

These guys are awesome. After quick and easy scheduling, the Vertical team arrived completely prepared early. Omar and Anthony efficiently organized the worksite, constructed scaffolding quickly and got to work. My decaying chimney brick was no match for them. They removed bad areas, reinforced as needed, replaced with matching brick and tuck pointing, restored the concrete cap then sealed the entire stack. When this was complete they carefully removed the scaffolding and went about cleaning the job site impeccably. Aside from a beautiful looking and properly functioning brick chimney/fireplace, you’d never know they were here. Excellent work!

Mike was just out at my house to clean my dryer vent. He was friendly, professional, prompt and so knowledgeable. He pointed out 2 small areas of concern that I would have never even associated with the dryer vent. He explained everything clearly and made sure I understood. Tom and Nick just came out for annual inspection. Arrived on time, were respectful of furniture and items near the fireplace and left the room as they found it. Tom made some great suggestions for us to consider and was able to provide answers to all of the questions we had. They were efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. First most important...someone actually answered the phone when I called! Tom came out for an estimate, didn't realize I missed part of the job. He came back and requoted so I scheduled on the spot. Got multiple confirmation calls because we played phone tag over the holidays. work was done as quickly as possible. These guys really do clean up after themselves.Tom, Jason, and Josh worked on their parts simultaneously, having multiple issues with the house. All the work looked good and they even reminded me that when I replace a furnace or water heater in the future to stay in the same BTU as to not overload the new liner.Completely professional and efficient.Will do business with them again as needed.As an aside...they had me buy replacement shingles for the work being done. The tech doing the b vent in the roof was so good he didn't even need them, but it never hurts to have extra shingles.Thanks for a job well done.

Jason and Eric from Vertical Chimney did a thorough inspection and cleaning of the chimney. They took time to educate us on the chimney, identified maintenance concerns and cleaned up meticulously after removing debris from the chimney. They both had great personalities and brought a lot of positive energy to their jobs. It is clear they love working with homeowners to properly care for their homes. Kyle and CJ came out today because our ventless fireplace wouldn’t light. They were great and very professional. They spent a lot of time explaining the issue. I greatly appreciate their honesty about the condition of the fireplace. Five stars just for them. I may need to update my review on the company in general after I speak to their manager Monday about the issues with the fireplace.

I scheduled a chimney sweep for my fireplace, the good is Tom G and Nick came out and tried to clean the chimney but it has issues. Tom took his time to explain all my options and how to correct my issues (by repairing or replacing). The bad… kind of expensive, but I understand now why it will cost so much! I feel like this was a good experience, even though it became more complicated. I will probably have Tom at Vertical make the repairs in the near future

I couldn't get the basement gas fireplace in my older house to work. Most of the area fireplace/chimney companies were booked weeks out, including Vertical Chimney. However, the friendly receptionist I spoke to on the phone (sorry I cannot remember her name!) was able to work in a visit to my house for the following Monday afternoon. I appreciated the courtesy call from the same receptionist to let me know the technicians were on their way.Tom and Nick tried to light the fireplace and then used their camera to examine the chimney. I watched as they discovered a damaged area. They explained that it was similar to a hole in a straw that could cause a build up of carbon monoxide. They recommended that we NOT use the fireplace. They clearly explained my options for chimney repair or updating the existing gas logs. They left me with detailed pricing information.I plan to gather more estimates before I decide what to do about the damaged chimney, but I will call Vertical to do the work if their price is best. Their employees were very helpful, explained everything well, and were professional, and respectful.

Had an appointment set with Vertical Chimney Care and Mike Chung, I was very impressed with his knowledge and ability to simplify and make things understandable. During the inspection, he used a camera to allow me to see the inside of the chimney, while there was damaged, it does allow great peace of mind to be able to see it for myself. After identifying the damaged, he explained the different options that were available to remedy the situation, along with the pros and cons of each option. He inspected the chimney from the inside and from the roof.

I called this company a few days before Christmas and it was the only company that answered…. I was able to get service within days of the contract and was very satisfied with the outcome! I recently bought a house with a wood burning fireplace that I wanted to get checked out before I use it. The technician, was amazing - very friendly. Also, the process of scheduling was easy and quick.However, I signed up for a $199 deal for a chimney cleaning and free video safety inspection. When the technician left I realized the video inspection wasn't done (it was on the invoice I paid as "recommended follow up" for an additional $219 - I was working and didn't really have time to pay attention while the tech was there). I called and they said that because I have a wood burning fireplace, not a gas fireplace, the deal doesn't apply.Again, the cleaning technician was great but I really thought I was also getting the safety inspection for the $199. It's pretty disappointing to be told I need to now pay another $219 for the safety inspection because I have a wood burning fireplace. I wish that would have been told to me when I signed up for the deal.

I have been using Vertical for years. They are very thorough from letting me know when the crew is on their way to the work they perform. They clean the chimney along with the dryer vent. They even told me that the drying flexible duct work was torn but they were able to repair it. Tom and Dan are courteous and hard working. See you next year!!

Updated 1/13/24: I wanted to wait a few days to make sure everything was in working order, but Tom and Dan handled our new fireplace installation and some other minor work about a week ago. Again, they were professional and very knowledgeable about all of the services, and stuck around to mame sure all of our questions were answered. The fireplace is great! Thanks guys, great work!Original: We just finished our chimney inspection and vent cleaning a moment ago, but my wife and I were incredibly impressed by the level of service that Verticle Chimney Care provided for us. Tom and Henry came very near the beginning of the service window, were kind, courteous, and professional every step of the way.They explained everything to us thoroughly, answered all of our questions, and stuck around until every concern was addressed. They even suggested some cost saving ideas that could save us money down the road. This is in addition to their base cost already being about 30% cheaper than other quotes we got for this project.We'll definitely be using them for our future chimney work, and couldn't recommend Tom, Henry, and Verticle Chimney Care any higher. I am very disappointed by the customer service and lack of professionalism.I scheduled a cleaning for a Saturday, and Vertical Chimney provided a 4 hour window that they would come. I cleared my Saturday to make sure I was available when they arrived (missing a holiday parade with the family). I even called an hour before the arrival window opened to confirm my appointment.Well, 4 hour window came and went with nary a call or message from Vertical Chimney. My arrival window was from 12:30 to 4:30... And I started to get nervous at around 4, so I called to check to see the status. Low and behold, Vertical Chimney closes at 3pm on Saturday, so no one answered my call.On Monday, I did not hear from Vertical Chimney to apologize for missing my appointment or an attempt to reschedule. So I initiated and called them. In that call, they made little to no attempt to work with me to reschedule. They didn't even apologize for wasting my Saturday.I would highly suggest not using this company for your chimney care. There are plenty of good and reputable companies... This is not one of those companies.
