Makes feel like a kid in a candy store. Love the custard filled cones here as well the variety of pastries. Great place to bring the kiddos to pick something out. Fresh produce is amazing as well.

Love it so much because in a safe area. I’ve been here since I was a child and sometimes when I go with my dad. Also I miss the sears here and this markets better than the one on Royal Boulevard.

Reviews have mentioned selection and freshness... I found the selection to be very poor, other stores in the region have much wider range of produce. A lot of items were pre-packed, I want to pick to produce I want to buy, not have the store choose for me.I had parked my cart and was looking over items when one of the workers, who was upset I was not fluent in Spanish, told me to leave if I wasn't buying something... Seriously, I can't take my time looking?Pricing was certainly nothing special. Other produce markets around here have better pricing on most items.Bottom line, never again.

Left my Debit card but got sick. Went back after 15days and Manager Jose Luis Rodriguez was accommodating and pleasant. Checked my card and it was there. Also helpful associate Johana. Thx so much to you both. My card was kept safe in your store.

When I went there with my husband around 4, we went to the back to order food. A lady was attending us. She served everyone there BUT me, refusing service. After that, none of the other workers wanted to attend me. All of them gave me a dirty look as if I was the one who was doing something wrong. Everyone there was Mexican except for me, a Caucasian woman (if that detail makes any difference).

This store always has what I need for relatively low prices, the employees here are always so nice. The people working the butcher area always make sure I get what I want, the cashiers always have a smile on their face, and I always see the same person working outside and he always helps me get my groceries loaded onto my car, I don’t get that anywhere else, overall awesome store ^o^

Best tamales around. I have ordered a large amount of tamales for work several times, and every time, I have gotten what I ask for. The tamales were hot and fresh. Will keep going to them.

I used to go here to get the produce for my birds because of the variety and price. Bakery is absolutely beautiful, and you can find things there that you can’t get anywhere else.But that doesn’t make up for the attitudes and views of the employees. If you are not of the Latin or Spanish community, you WILL be ignored and disrespected by every single staff member. I’ve tried to order meat and bakery items, but It’s always been wrong, and they just throw their hands up as if they didn’t do anything wrong.When I’m in line at the checkout, the people in front of me are asked is they would like a membership card if they don’t already have one. When it’s my turn, no membership opportunity comes up, even though I had been in multiple times and wanted a membership card.Good luck shopping here.

Worst customer service ever will not be returning ever again I was in the store and I was paying for my items I was being watched the whole time at the self check out on top of that I was chased outside because they thought I didn’t pay for the items which I did And they said that I owed 5 dollars for something that I knew nothing about on top of that I had to call the cops to get a refund. I don’t recommend anyone to go here unless you want to be watched. They are very racist here I was treated like I was stealing and I never stole anything

Came into Elgin Fresh Market for the first time over the weekend, huge selection to chose from. Great to see everything from traditional Spanish courses/spices/drinks/etc to the new trendy Spanish courses/spices/drinks/etc. This place sells ready to go food which makes your day super convenient if you are looking for a quick bite. Shopped here a little and also did some take out, not to mention self check out helped us head out at a timely fashion. Two thumbs up!

The cashier named Aurora was really slow and it wasn't until i got home that my sister said she apparently removed her toy from the conveyor belt without even asking. That's really unprofessional.

Always appreciate this place. Clean, bakery is great, deli/meat/fish counter is great. They also have hot food to go that always looks so great and prices are pretty good too. Also don't forget the fresh squeezed juices!

I've been shopping here for about six months now and unfortunately won't be returning. The last two visits I've purchased expired guacamole. The first time I went in to return it, the lady who helped me was rude. She stated I couldn't get my money back, but offered an exchange. I grabbed another guacamole that was less money, she refused to give me credit for the difference. She also stated there would be no returns allowed after this exchange. When I got home and I opened the new guacamole. It had a funky smell and was bubbly. That was a waste of gas, money, and my appetite.

Store is clean and has a nice variety of fruits and vegetables. I don’t buy dairy from there because Aldi is across the street with lower prices. They have a good selection of chicken and beef. They also have a wide variety of Hispanic and Asian products. The staff is kind and helpful if needed.

They have a bakery and kitchen that prepare a variety of traditional Mexican plates. They also have a bakery that has delicious sweet bread and rolls. They have a great selection of produce and they even make smoothies. It is basically a one stop shop and I almost forgot the meat market as well.

Always find good deals on vegetables like tomatoes, lettuce, onions, peppers etc. Also have a wide selection of meats and not to mention their hot food gotta say thier grilled chicken and carnitas are really good over all good store and reasonable prices def recommend shopping here

I come to this store often, very organized and staff is always friendly and helpful. This time I was waiting for some information at the service desk and overheard a manager named Huber being extremely rude and disrespectful to one of the employees. I don't believe that is okay, for the amazing job they do, they deserve better treatment.

This grocery store is the most affordable one in the area. Clean and has a lot of options. Their asian food aisle is way more impressive than Jewel. Hot food lunch options are super affordable. Highly recommend!

I don't like this location, the parking lot is always majorly full and uneven.The inside, same, too crowded and clustered.The food is not good or prepared right, compared to the other location.Some of the fruits, veggies etc are always old. Not fresh like the other one. Anyways this one could use improvement.

I was just there 2 wks ago & I have been going to this store off & on for some time now hoping it would get back to the way it used to be & it just keeps getting worse. They bring the expired products to the front of the shelves in produce in hopes of selling them quickly hoping nobody will notice.I personally handed a package of moldy garlic dated 12/12/21 to one of the workers who turned around & put it right back on the shelf. They refrigerate things that shouldn't be i.e Avocados for one & that's just the tip of the iceberg, their meat is sadly lacking in quality as well, got sick off of some ribs bought there. Funny how the same store on the other side of town is waaaay better all the way around as well as Village Fresh Market in C-ville & they're all related.I only live a few blocks from the Summit st store, but I'll be going elsewhere from now on, I've given as many chances as possible.

Good variety and prices, check out could be better/faster. I wish they had Outer Skirt steak on a regular basis. Update on 7/16/17 = still no skirt steak; the week prior I was told that they were going to order some, did not come I was told!

Great fresh fruits and vegetables, in abundance! They even sell fresh hot food! This store is IMHO, way best yet than the JEWEL a few blocks to the East. Milk is expensive, but ALDI is a few blocks west at the corner, and sells inexpensive milk. Two thumbs up for this store.

Elgin Fresh Market is my new "go to" grocery. They have a great selection of fresh vegetables, meats, & typically hard to find ingredients. Staff was friendly & I was surprised with the low costs. Highly recommended.
