Great beer selection. food and service !The brisket is my favorite. I ordered nachos and added brisket . A huge tray of nachos arrived lol. Fun place to meet with friends for an afternoon or after work for tasty beer or Mead. I'm the beer drinker and my husband loves Mead. The bartenders , servers are nice and friendly which makes the place even better to visit.

We've been here a couple of times and I forgot to write a review so I wanted to do one now because I also have a request. The first time we came, we had the Bao Buns, BBQ, Fries, Beer and the dessert. The Dessert was phenomenal and recommended by our server who was 100% correct! We loved it so much we came back with friends who also wanted to try it but they had just taken it off the menu!!! OUCH. It was the salted caramel brownie goodness. Most people probably fill up with the food and drinks however, I was on medication at the time and couldn't so I figured I would have a sweet treat instead. PLEASE BRING BACK THE AWESOME DESSERT!!! It was one of the best desserts I've ever had!!

We have gotten food here and took it over to the Meade Hall and Cidery. Excellent choice of drinks. They really do a great job of welcoming you and it’s really a lot of fun. Chris does a phenomenal job of explaining everything and getting what you need. I highly recommend this place. And their food is really good! Best Turkey Club in the world!!!

First time at this venue, really nice and well laid out. Beer garden is huge with a bar 🍸 and stage. Plenty of room for dancing. Nice rustic setting. Very enjoyable 😉 The brewery itself is comfortable with large assortment of drinks and decent menu of BBQ items.#livemusic #liveentertainment#brewery

The best!!! We've been to Obscurity a few times and it's always great. We love the smoked salmon/steal head trout dip and it never disappoints. This was a note left in the to go bag when my husband got that as a surprise treat after a long day. Of course he had a great sandwich and beer while he was there waiting. 🤣 Thanks for the encouragement and the great food!!!

I’m from StL and we have some GREAT bbq there. So when I came across Obscurity and their bbq menu, I hauled the family in from Schaumburg to try it. The bbq is pretty good (we’re somewhat bbq-snobs) but the side items were fantastic! Get the Mac n’ Cheese. And of course, the craft brew options are great! Nice place to watch a game or hangout with friends.

Super cool atmosphere, fabulous food and service. Jason makes sure you are well taken care of. The smoked jalapeño margarita was incredible and their crafted beer selection has something for every one. We had the ribs, brisket and turkey. The baked beans and Mexican corn are delicious. We will for sure be back for more! Can't wait for the summer concert series too. What a wonderful outdoor venue!! Thanks for a great time!

Brilliant brewery in the heart of the suburbs, with ridiculously good bbq food, appetizers and of course lots and lots of beer. Obscurity has an incredible variety, one of which tastes like a raisin flavored Belgian Tripple. DELICIOUS. Growlers are available, and make sure to make reservations ahead of time if you plan on making it here on the weekends.

Delicious BBQ AND starters! I was pleasantly surprised by just how good the BBQ meat and starters were. Personally, I’m not an enormous bbq fan, but Obscurity’s meatloaf, brisket, and shrimp were all so yummy [no photos because I ate the food so fast]. I highly recommend the Formula 47 Fries starter– seasoned so well and the perfect texture. I definitely recommend Obscurity Brewing for a full tasty meal with the family.

First time trying their food. Got App. of Pork Belly Burnt Ends and Pick 3, Brisket, Shoulder, Spare Ribs. Pork Belly burnt ends were covered in BBQ sauce but surprisingly dry. Brisket was very dry with little flavor, Shoulder was very very dry with very little flavor. Spare Ribs where good. I will say I will be back to give a second chance on the BBQ. because it could of been they had a off night with the BBQ?

The patio was awesome with live bands and their train shots🤣. Had a blast. We arrived at 6pm and the restaurant was all out of food. Pretty much everything. They said they had a good truck on the way... We had to go eat somewhere else then make our way back.

If I could give the mead 5 stars I would. Look this is probably a very unfair assessment, I came in on a random Wednesday afternoon while it was still icy outside so not a lot of customers in the joint, so how it's like when it's regularly popping 🤷🏻♀️. The bar keep 🍻 was really nice to talk to; she encouraged I treat myself to a pricey item I've been sitting on for a while-very supportive, I loved that. The food was mid but hey I really wasn't there for the food y'know. Overall it's a chill place to hang; I'm gonna try it again in the spring/summer time

This brewery is pretty cool. They have dining and a full bar indoors, a patio on the side of the building, and a beer garden/stage area out back. The cocktails are really good, and so is the beer and the mead. The beef brisket with the white BBQ sauce was amazing. Perfect place for a fun summer night

Very nice atmosphere. BBQ food was great. Their honey grilled bologna was outstanding if you like bologna. For the pick 3, we ordered the brisket, shoulder and ribs. Delicious 😋 they were out of the BBQ potato salad,so settled for the charred coleslaw.yum! Beer selection were decent and their cocktail menu was unique. Must try them out.Has indoor/outdoor seating. Heard they're building new building for events and additional seatingOpened up 2 months ago & need better food planning. They were out of a few sides/beers on early Sunday night. I give them a B+/A- today

This place is pretty incredible. The BBQ is smoked to perfection, and the burnt ends are honestly some of the best BBQ I've ever had. The beer was great, but the currant mead was cloyingly sweet. It was the only mead I had tried, so I'm sure there would be some that are more my speed. Overall, I had a great experience and will certainly be back.

wanted to like this place, maybe we caught them on a bad night. the waiter didn't seem to know the menu. they were out of brisket, and I couldn't order the pick 3 for some unknown reason. finally settled on pork shoulder, but after waiting for almost 90 minutes, we just left. I counted about 30 staff there, mostly just standing around, and very little food coming out of the kitchen. disappointing at best. the decor is odd, and the restaurant seems poorly thought out. they apparently don't have any food storage, because all their boxes of food and sodas are just lying around in the bathroom hallway. it makes the whole place seem a bit tacky and definitely not up-scale. so between the poor service, extreme wait for food, the random boxes everywhere, and the odd decor, I am in no hurry to go back and give them another try.

Awesome place, very industrial setting, really cool setup. Huge selection of drinks, including beer and mead brewed on premises. Tons of BBQ and home made sides. Excellent staff, waitress checked on us every 10 minutes, and answered all our questions when we had them. Great for a date night.

5/5 for the macaroni and cheese with buffalo chicken. The macaroni was well-cooked al dente, and the cheese sauce was delicious, creamy, and smooth white a hint of a broken sauce. The buffalo chicken was not your standard breaded chicken breast, but was juicy smoked chicken with a tangy vinegar sauce. The only mead on draft, Honey Palmer, was a little weird and unpleasant--it tasted more like a vinegar shrub than a mead. For a place that advertises itself as a meadery, it was a little weird to have only one mead amongst twenty drinks on tap.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. The pork belly burnt ends were awesome, as was the beef brisket grinder and pulled pork! The beer varieties were interesting and tasty.

(lactose free review!)My wife and I drove out here to try this brewery. Definitely a fan. We ordered the pick 3 BBQ which was really great. We got brisket, spare ribs and salmon. The salmon does come with tartar sauce that isn't lactose free but the bbq sauce was fine with me. We also got a side of the Formula 47 fries which were yum. We also ordered the bacon wrapped fried oreos. I thought they were really good. The beers we had were the following ordered by favoritesFirst time feeling - strawberry kettle berliner weissVanilla doom - red ale with vanillaTow City - braggot hefeweizenCrazy soul - coffee blonde aleTalk to me about it - session ipaCals Gold Ribbon - belgian ipaI made the mistake of ordering a 12oz of the First Time Feeling (strawberry weiss) with dinner. Event though it was our favorite beer. It did not go with bbq and brisket at all. I would have much rather got the hefeweizen or the session ipa to go with the meal instead. For milk haters (like me) this place had enough options. The challenge was asking the waitress who didn't seem confident in what did or didn't have lactose in it. I think they could do a better job and help their staff and customers out by listing allergins on the menu.Overall great visit and loved the decor and music playing. Will go again.

Star ratings. 1 bad. 2 below average. 3 average / neutral. 4 good. 5 excellent.Overall good food. Salads are huge. Did a 3 meat platter. Says serves 2. I'd say yes only if you're getting sides as well.No real mead options you have to go across the street to get those so that was kind of a bummer.Parking: On site lot.
