I have several animals I have taken here that have received excellent care. I have a 1year old German Shepherd and have problems with clinics that don’t want to deal with this breed. Thor is. not aggressive in the least with other animals or people. He loves going here he thinks it’s a party. They are always loving gentle kind patient and professional. They are the best!

Groomed my cat very nicely. He is a double coated furry furry guy and he needed extreme care. Angela did a pretty good job on Shadow the Assassin. His fur will be easier to maintain now. Carpeted pic is before, tile is after.

I took my dogs to Walton Haarmann for many years. The service was always the best. Knowledgable and caring, I really couldn't say enough about them. They really took the time to diagnose and treat my pets. I had a lot of trust in this clinic and referred many people to them. It saddens me to have to write this review but they were bought out by another vet clinic and as a consequence, the service isn't the same. I decided to find another vet clinic for my dog.

Sadly to say I am choosing another vet for care for my dog. I was not happy about the cost of my visit. I was expecting to pay up to $50 or so but $231 was a bit much. First of all I took my dog just to get heartworm med and toenails clipped. The doctor repeated back to me what he was getting. They took my dog out of room to clip his nails and brought him back to me with a bandage on his leg and didn't even explain to me why. When nurses came in I asked why. Then they gave him rabbies and vaccines along with the heart worm meds. When I went to pay and found out the bill I was upset. They didn't even give me options for the heartworm which kind to give him. Didn't explain the cost difference. I love my dog and glad he is taking care of but please people explain before doing so we have a choice.

Always a great experience! I always come in with questions and I always leave with them answered no matter how big or small. I live 40 minutes away and make the drive so my dogs can still use this vet clinic. Highly recommend!

Front desk is never friendly. It's one employee who had been there a long time. She is ALWAYS rude, never smiles and acts like everything she does is a huge burden. Has zero compassion for someone in emotional crisis...she just plays the victim. I mean who cares your cat and uncle you care for are dying, she's having a busy day! I was literally told I had to take my dying kitten home because it was SICK?? I looked at the employee and said "I thought the vet us where you brought your sick pet", shrugged her shoulders!

Big fan of Walton haarmann. They never price gouge you. Always afordable compared to other vets. The woman vet is my absolute favorite. You can tell she really cares. I always ask for her when I set up an appointment.

UPDATE: now that effingham vet clinic owns it they are MUCH higher priced. Exam fees are over double what they used to be. Prices across the board are way higher..They are super cheap compared to other vets but the gal at the front desk is super rude. She never seems to wanna do her job and always seems like it’s a pain for her to do anything for you. She’s nowhere near friendly and bc of her we are looking for other vets along with 5 other families with lots of pets due directly bc of her.

Our dogs have been patients here since they were pups. I for one wouldn't trust their care to anyone else in the area. The staff is friendly and accommodating to our needs. My Booker went into cardiac arrest during a surgery and they brought her back without fail. She spent the night in ICU and I was more than confident she would be just fine and she was. I trust their knowledge and would recommend them to anyone

The only vet my mom used when growing up and it's the only vet I ever will use until they close their doors for good. Everyone is so nice and the prices have never been too bad(depending on the service you purchase obviously)

Took my puppy in for vaccines and rabies vaccine. They played with my dog and was very friendly. They gave me free flea prevention and heartworm prevention.

Super nice people. Very kind. Opened up on labor day weekend for us to bring in our pup. Made us feel so much better. Stayed around just to talk about nothing and make us laugh to help us feel better.

About the worst vet you can get between St. Louis and Indianapolis. Every time I, or any of my friends, have ever taken dogs in there to be seen for ANYTHING, the report is all good. Nothing wrong. Ever. Then the dog dies from some preventable and curable illness a couple months later. At least three of my friends plus myself took a dog in, they reported nothing was wrong, despite the dog not eating for the last week and losing weight super fast. Took the dog elsewhere and it came up that something bad was wrong. With my dog, there was a lump in its throat preventing it from eating.These people are an absolute joke. Don’t waste your money on false security. Go to a vet that actually cares and knows how to treat animals.

They are the reason our dog is dead!! first of all we took our 12 year old dog there with a dental problem and was told she had an infection she was given an injection and then we were told to bring her back the next day for extraction and cleaning. when we picked her up 8 hours after dropping her off she was unable to walk and even several hours later. by 10:30 am we were calling them because we thought she was dead but she was breathing. after waiting in their waiting room for over 5 minutes they finally came and got her and the dr started working on her but had no clue what was wrong but said her heart beat was strong and they wanted to get her on fluids. which they were not able to do then she just theft for 30 to 40 minutes then came back and told the other girl she could go to lunch then told my wife these things always happen during lunch break. I suggested taking our dog to another place and they got all upset saying they were doing everything that could be done. after almost 3 hours they tried to put her on oxygen but didn't know how to use the machine. our dog died then. We found out later our dog had a grand mal seizure and could've been saved with a competent vet. However with the infection she had she should never had been put under anesthesia until she had been treated for the infection first also found out to late. we were told how sorry they were by a receptionist and that the doctor felt that it was just an unfortunate reaction to the anesthesia. This is probably why they don't do charges anymore they want their money up front in case of the unfortunate reactions.

My Beagle likes to eat everything and made himself sick. The vet was gracious after Thor tried to bite him. He was not a fan of the thermometer 🌡 👀. He also made sure to let the entire clinic know he's not a fan of shots, by singing the song of his people. Needless to say our beagle isn't the best of patients.Today he's as good as new and is back to his spastic little self. That includes looking for random things to eat 🤦🏻‍♀️.Thanks for your help!

Worst experience of my life. My dog had parvovirus and had to spend the night there with no one watching over her. If she wasn't so well behaved she could of easily chewed through the iv that was pumping fluids in her. My cousin went here as well at the same time because her dog had the same thing, but he actually did pull his iv out. Luckily he made it out with his life but it was barely. They would of both been better off at home, at least they would of had someone watching them through the night. I really hate this place and don't trust the people working there.

Take your dog here if you want to be charged a ridiculous amount for them to kill your dog. Our chihuahua/terrier mix just had pups and was throwing up a lot. We took her in on a Sunday night (expensive emergency fee) just for Dr. Walton to give her a shot of antibiotics and send her home. We took her back 3 times for him to do nothing but give her a shot of antibiotics. He never once did any tests or ask about the pups. Almost week of not being able to keep food or water down and he was still unconcerned, said it was just mastitis. A different vet was on call that weekend and took one look at her and said she needed to stay so they could figure out what was wrong and spay her at the same time. She made it through surgery fine but died soon after. They discovered she had a massive stomach infection. I know if he would have done something sooner she would still be alive!

The Doctors have been very good with our dog.Our dog was hit by a car. He has a broken leg. Everyone has worked hard to heal our pet and keep the costs to a minimum.
