My honest review on this one:This place is half full of boutique type clothing and jewelry and the other half is crafts and antiques. I guess I wasn’t expecting a boutique since the sign doesn’t mention it and on google this store comes up as an antique store.Something that threw me off when I walked in the door was the overwhelming smell of candles/wax scents. It isn’t a bad smell but if you are smell sensitive, beware! I had a full blown migraine before I left there. My husband isn’t sensitive to candles or smells and he also noticed that it is overwhelming.The lady at the checkout was very friendly!There are quite a few nice antique pieces mixed in with primitive farmhouse decor. A lot of beautiful glass items and a huge selection of antique kitchen pieces. There’s also some crocks and washboards as well. There’s a lot of homemade items. The prices are fair in some booths and overpriced in others. We found a few nice pieces to take home that were priced to sell.

Sign says "Antiques and Craft Mall" mostly crafts. One perhaps two dearers with antiques and nothing worth seeing. Ugh...

I really wish I could give this a 5 star review but unfortunately I had a very unpleasant experience with Joanne’s husband. The store is clean, there are treasures to be found but I did not enjoy being yelled at like I was some dumb child. If you want the tea it’s below, or if you want the short version deal with Joanne if possible, I had a pleasant experience with her.Let start but saying I am currently walking with a cane and my balance is not well. I had asked if I could have the ceramic tree taken apart so I could look and see if it was the mold I thought it was and to ensure there were no extra chips, try to date it, etc. He was very stand off-ish when I asked. I continued to ask questions to which he replied “I don’t know” I said “the top comes off and the middle” which he then cut me off and stated he knew how take apart, it was just a pain. I stated I would prefer to look at it before purchasing, and honestly I needed the extra help looking because I did not what to break it with my current health situation.Upon inspection I had found there were some minor flaws in the mold from the inside. I said “ah, see this why you have to look” I asked if he knew the person of this booth, and he said he did, I asked if he would call so I could make a counter offer after what I found. He said no it was was wife, and she was here. I countered and asked if she would take *xyz* for it. He stated no, he knew his wife and she would not do that. I said okay, but it’s not a perfect mold. To which he said again no, he knew his wife and what she paid for it. I said well, to which I was then very rudely cut off by yelling “no, I know my wife and she will not take anything off okay?!” My friend a few row over heard the entire conversation, and was shocked as well.Needless to say I asked for the wife directly, Joanne, who when I spoke too offered me 10% off due to the flaw. The husband didn’t return till I was out in the car.I know I am younger but I have grown up in antique stores, and flea markets but I have NEVER been spoken too like that in a situation before. There was no “firm” on the tag, and also I didn’t enjoy having to go back and forth with him, or his standoff-ish ways without offering to get his wife instead.I told the Joanne about the encounter, who kind of brushed it off, but I was left a little shaken, but it was the ceramic tree I have been hunting for these last couple years. I do appreciate Joanne’s deal she gave me,

This is a little hidden gem back behind a little shopping plaza.The owner is warm and welcoming, which is always a good sign.There are half antiques and half clothing and jewelry.Fabulous Crosley Jukeboxes one when you walk on that lights up different colors, then one in the back room if I only had the room. Lots of old crockery, glassware, kitchen goods, furniture, and so much more. My treasure find was a lucite spoon rest that I didn't have to go with my hot plates. It's reasonably priced, too.My only warning for people with a sensitive nose beware when you first walk in, you will be overwhelmed.Nice find for Effingham Illinois, if you are into treasure hunting.

Unfortunately this wonderful shop is closing at the end of this month (April 2023). I found four nice Hull pieces that they cut 50% off . Stop in and make a deal.

Looks somewhat small from outside but it is very large. IT has lots of wonderfull antiques, but it was the high quality crafts that really impressed!. Lots of really nice clothing items. Staff was helpful and very friendly.

Woman inside made multiple attempts to redirect me to “larger sized” clothing while I was looking at a shirt. Even though I don’t wear the sizes she was suggesting. As someone who has recently had a baby and don’t feel as confident as I used to, she absolutely left me crying as I left, and cried in the parking lot. I was planning on buying a shirt, in my size but she was insisting that I shop in larger sizes. Lost a sale and my family and I will never return.

I love the timed candles from this place! Just replaced one I've had for 4 years because my cat knocked it off the table one too many times. Set it and forget it until the battery dies!

Country Peddlers has always been a great place. I can always find that special gift or a perfect antique / craft for my home. Now, with the addition of the clothing "shops" it is even better.

Not an antique shop, more of a craft shop with lots of clothes for woman, all new stuff not much old items at all. Sad because it said 5 stars but if you like craft shops, you'll love this place.

Like all craft/flea markets, the prices on most things seem a little high priced. But the owners are willing to negotiate on the prices tho (outside the store when the public market is going on).
