The footlong hotdog I had was with chili, onion, and Jalapeños. My God it was delicious! Jim was so cool taking care of us out of towners. I really recommend coming here. The food is great and the company is even better.

Low frills service on wax paper presents you with a classic, foot-long chili dog. The chili is better than expected and the shun the plastic pump cheese in favor of cheddar shreds. Step up to the counter and your late night gluttony will begin in mere minutes.Stay out late and find a face full of bad decisions for only $7. Cheese and jalapeños are $0.50 extra. Self-loathing is free.I have no regrets.

Came here for the famous chili cheese dogs and was not thoroughly impressed. The hot dog itself was like a boiled foot long turkey frank. If it was beef… it certainly wasn’t a 100% beef. The chili tasted canned and we each got a pinch of shredded cheese per dog even though that costed extra. The fries were dry and tasteless. The only saving grace was the cheese curds. Make sure you bring cash as they are a cash only establishment. ATM on site with a $2.50 charge per transaction.

What an extraordinary experience, the food was absolutely delicious, I loved the footlong chili dog. The young lady was very friendly and helpful.

I remember when this place had decent food. We were very disappointed with the chili dogs and the chili cheese fries. Not sure what happened to the chili these days. The hotdogs were cheap and the fries were subpar to say the least. The walking taco was the best item we ordered, probably because it was half chips. That's two times now disappointed and won't likely return anytime soon. There are better options out there, sad to say.

The best chili cheese footlongs. Food is always great. But the service could be worked on tho. I sat there waiting for another drink. The lady didn't even look down at me to the regulars got up to leave. So if your a regular you'll have great service if not you'll have ok service.

These guys are amazing! They never disappoint!! Really awesome HOT DOGS of course! They are known for their amazing foot long hot dogs! They have really awesome food for bar food! They have good customer service skills as well. I enjoy visiting Mulgrews often!

Delicious mini tacos, sandwiches, and broasted chicken. If you are a visitor to the Dubuque/East Dubuque area you will hear suggestions of the delicious chili dogs Mulgrew's serves - it is all true so be sure to stop in and try one. They have a great staff and the prices are reasonable. You can use the money you saved to play one of the 6 slot machines. Be sure to check it out!

Their chili dogs have always been delicious, but tonight I had worker make mine with no gloves. Even grabbed my hotdog out of the container with her fingers! So unsanitary!!!!!

Love your foot long chilli cheese dogs, and deep fried white cheddar cheese curds. Yummy Yummy. Only thing wrong with their chilli dogs are if there are not real hot. But cold or hot they are good.
