The hiring process was smooth and easy but once I got to my account things changed…..I was on the LIDL account under a manager named Casey and she made it seem like it was a family oriented place and she doesn’t lose drivers. Her trainer Chris took me out and on my second day of training he was not very attentive to my driver or backing leaving me to back into a store dock I’ve never been to while it was pouring down to the point I couldn’t see and in that time I backed into a fence. I have no problem accepting my fault but Chris assured me it would not be an issue and that he would handle it if anyone asked. Later that night my guard grill chipped a small piece of a brick wall and Chris acted as if I put a hole in the wall and we weren’t even sure I did that. They ended up reporting those incidents to my DAC and made it seem like I backed into a brick wall and labeled me non hireable stating that they had concerns with my backing even though I was left alone by her trainer in pouring down rain at a location I was not familiar with. I don’t know about y’all but I’m pretty sure trainers don’t leave new hires until they are very sure.

DANGER, DANGER, DANGER!! Be very weary Of this company They brought me in for orientation and went through it ok but, when it came to be time for lease signing things changed dramatically. In a room of 25 recruits they want you to electronically sign the lease agreement. I had questions regarding the lease and cost of a used truck. The instructor got angry because apparently your not suppose to ask questions, only sign. I was then taken to a private room and there they explained to me that the kind of questions I had were not ones they could answer in front of all the recruits. I asked why and she said because we need to retain the recruits and those kind of questions would not help. They were angry because I actually read my lease agreement first and had questions. If you go with this solely reefer company you must understand that you need to run 2500 miles a week just to pay your truck and all there fees associated with it. All kinds of hidden cost that they hide in penny per mile cost to you. There are no drop and hooks it's all live load and unload. There shippers will hold you for 2 days at a time for your load. Your truck will be the only thing you pay a week and there is no money for you. Only a fool would sign such a contract. They talk a big game but question yourself why a company so small would have recruits coming in 30 at a time twice a week and 52 weeks a year. They all leave as soon as they see what happens to there pay, you get none. Smart people who want to be informed is not a place for you. They will fly you in, wine you dine you and make it look great. It is not!! Then you question it and your on a greyhound bus immediately. The president will visit you his name is Brad and he will just try his hardest to motivate you and make it all sound great and then you get that ole contract. Be aware very aware you can not make any money at this company. Don't believe what your recruiter tells you it's a lie. They lease there trucks from a company and then lease them to you. These trucks they lease come with a full warranty from the lease company they lease from but they are gonna charge you .10 cents a mile for truck repairs. So that is pure profit in the company pocket. They say you fuel is only . 99 cents no matter the cost of it at the fuel stop. Now understand you must sign in your lease agreement to . 03cents per mile fuel use tax. So it's not . 99 cents it's a lot more! Remember you have to pay taxes on all of your earnings even though hirschbach gets it all. So in the end you will only pay to work for this company. Don't fall for this pie in the sky scam. I will post pic of the contract. Please be warned.

This terminal is very nice Great facilities. Clean. Confortable. Have a many amenities for make the wait more easy. Clean showers, laundry facilities, individual naps and TV rooms, kitchen area, fitness room, store, it’s dog friendly, have a place for give a bath to the dogs. The shop not are open 24/7 but the facilities yes.

Worst Company Ever when my husband quit he returned the truck to the yard he called to see about getting on with JCT and the lady on the phone said his dm David lorton marked him down as non rehireable due to being unreliable for constantly going to doctors appointments for our health when we were on last home time I had to go to doctors in the beginning of june and at the end of may and my husband had to get his medical card renewed and the guy knew about it I do not recommend this company to anyone this company discourages you to go to the doctors if you wanna Croke and die this is the company for you.

I absolutely LOVE driving for Hirschbach. May not be a perfect fit for every driver, but it sure is for me. When their trailers say they aren't your typical trucking company, they mean it. They try hard to keep the drivers comfortable & happy, & everyone from office people to mechanics (who know their stuff), to the CEO are very personable & treat drivers with decency & respect.

These recruiters will tell you anything you want to hear until they think they have you reeled in. They did it to me twice in a week. First time they said there was no dedicated available in my area and then that changed when they realized I wasn't interested in OTR. Fine. Gave them the benefit of a doubt. There was plenty of dedicated available in my area.Then they said if I did their dedicated I would make the same amount as my current job working one less day a week. Fine. Who wouldn't agree to that. I put in my two weeks. Not even by the end of day they call me back and let me know I would be working the same amount of days as my other job for $200 less a week. Screw it. I just hope I can take back my two weeks notice.Like every other mega carrier this company is unethical. Driver beware. If they spin you a story that seems a little too good to be true, it probably is. Even if they came back to their original offer I wouldn't take it. They can't be trusted.

Speaking as a driver... I called Hirschbach and spoke to someone who said they would call me back. She never did call back. This place has never been good at doing what they say they're going to do. This company has bad communication practices.Warning to Drivers: Don't waste your time with this company if you want to be with a company that respects the drivers. Been there, done that.

I didn’t have the best experience during my employment, then lease, at Hirschbach. It’s a company that is rapidly growing and with it comes a lot of area and departments to man as well. However, if you decide to join the team certainly ask for Ryan H. to be your driver manager. This guy is patient and willing to work to do what he can to make you successful. He won’t do it all for you but he is wise and can guide you as long as you keep good communication with him at all time.

Worked here very briefly. Sent to Iowa for orientation then rented a car to go back to mass to pick up a truck. I was told "we will reimburse fuel,tolls,and hotel for the ride out. Got reimbursed for fuel but got a bill from enterprise for tolls. No reimbursement on hotel. When I got my truck it wasn't ready to roll. So another night in hotel. Still no reimbursement. And now go figure Noone will return call or text. Good starter company. Avoid if you have any knowledge of the industry.

Come on people, trucking is trucking. Not everyone is the same. You have to find the company you like best. After 24 years in this business I have been here almost 7 of them. I cannot see me working anywhere else. As far as being racist, well that card is getting Old. Best people I have ever worked for. Heck, they put up with me! Trust me, that's not easy! Been with the company a month and a half......... haven't had paycheck one in a month. Did as I was told ran my miles and loads. And still no check because SOME HOW my bills keep getting higher and I keep getting deeper in the hole. Only reason I give them two stars is my driver manager is a cool guy and I forgot why I put the second star. So yeah IF I EVER GET A PAY CHECK they can get another star or I'd stay with them

Beware of working for this company payroll is very scandalous, I did some loads before leaving this company and 2 and half months later I have still not been paid for this work which is illegal according to the labor law, the reason for this is they saying I need four bills from the previous month too be paid for the work I did at the end of August , so I got those 4 bills then they told me I needed 10 it took me over two weeks to get 4 bills from there customer. I have reached out to payroll and management and noone has didanything or even called the customer to try to get bills on there own , at this point legal counsel has to get involved which is rediuous

They say I wasnt focus Because I had to use the restroom... Therefor I already understanding the class work information.Since I used the restroom for 8minsThey said I didn’t Qualify my focus of Acknowledgment of learning An I didn’t have the right mentality of being a driver...((I didn't know, that I couldn't used the bathroom too Defecate )) for 8 minutes... So I was also asks a question retaining too if you travel 1,000 miles an travel speed at 50 mph how long will take? “ I said 20 hrs an could possibly travel $2,500 miles In Weeks “with your on duty hrs of 8 day work Of driving therefor To be in your 70 hrs work week of driving time in a work week...So therefor I was s told too leave the class an was terminated for by at Hirschbach. Example handing out the HI-VIZ vest the student was small about 5 feet. The students ask for small vest an the instructor said looks like you can take shelter in that vest like a new home because how small you are... it’s not Family environment at allI wouldn’t have Drove about 1,300 miles to be there... An have the Ambition have the rite knowledge of the correct fundamentals that should of been taught in the rite manners...

had the understanding i was going too be home every weekend through the slow times( come in friday and leave out sunday night late) and out 2 weeks with 3 days home for the busy times, i could bobtail my truck home too prepair it for the road, this account stays in the midwest only, this run is a night time run i would not be running days, going into Chicago is seldom, i also had one day that i needed too be in was told it would not be an issue, and it is never downtown city, and that is the reason this dedicated account pays a lot less then the others. Not too mention the $500 orientation pay was a $100 gift card from their store plus a $300 cash advance on a fuel card that was never uploaded on the card. So, it was time wasted for nothing. Not too mention the truck was not even ready or at the terminal.....When i spoke too the dispatcher she was very rude told me Chicago is a main run, i would be out 2 weeks and in for 1 day if she could get me in that much, East coast is part of the runs, i cannot bobtail home too get my truck ready, needs me too run day and night, and the one day i need too be in will not be approved unless i know specific for a two week notice.This company lies too get you in the door and then hopes you will tolerate the new switch up..... not good

This company has a lot of bad reviews for a damn good reason. Thereu stranded my husband in Chicago for over 24hrs on his way to the company to start working for them. They had him sign a contract....10 months or 10,000 dollars paid tp the company even though he's no student and has held his CDL for 15+ years. Then they stuck him with a trainer which they said over the phone would only be for 2 to 3 weeks but instead they are having him with this trainer for 3 weeks and then team driving for 22,000 miles. Now during this b.s. he's only making $90 a day before taxes come out, ...our son made more at McDonald's than that. They told him he'd have a sign on bonus and be making 45 cents per mile. This company lies to get drivers in the door ame if you refuse to sign the contract they'll stand you where you are. Thereu don't give a damn about drivers. Unfortunately my husband would've been stranded without a way home and there was no way to get him home so he signed. Our finances are not in a good place because of my illness and my husband needed the income because of that. This company should be completely ashamed of themselves. My advice is go to another company because you'll regret signing on with this company. My husband is stranded with a trainer and off for a few days but the trainer wouldn't drop him at our home or even nearby. The company gets you in with b.s. lies and nothing is what it seems. Before any drivers want to respond praising this company .there are far too many complain hirs over the years that are pretty much saying what I've just said. My husband's with them but they're doing him wrong and he's stuck in a contract and we're not even buying a truck from them either and he's not in their schooling program as he already has his CDL. I'd rather give them no star but had to put one to comment.

These company is rude , They made my wife cry , my wife has ptsd bad . They could just let her set drivers lounge . It's not family company. They tell what want here but don't follow threw. That my worst mistake in life. So glad my old company took us back . I wanted lease purchases the only reason I left. Helwig took us back and understand my wife , there very family oriented. I got my lease purchases anyway.

I’m not giving a good or bad review. I don’t know enough about the company, I have orientation this week, I pray if this isn’t the place for me that God will give me a sign. But I will say this, out of 10 different Hirschbach drivers I spoke to out over the road, not 1 of of them had anything bad to say about this company! The only driver that had a little negativity, and the reason he was leaving, is because he couldn’t get a new truck. He said it’s a good company, and you can make money as a lease driver. Sometimes, I think it’s the driver, and not the company. You’ll never find the perfect company, so stop looking. The only reason I gave 1 star ⭐️ is because I don’t know enough about Hirschbach to give the 4. Let’s see how this week plays out. I know that some people, no matter how hard you try, you’ll never make them happy. I should have known this was to good to be true!! Now they are trying to stick me with a service failure, after I told them I didn’t think I could make the load because of having to get a trailer washout, which you are required to do. I can’t jump in front of the line at Blue Beacon just because I’m in a Hirschbach truck! Orientation was awesome! Such a great group of people in Atlanta, they really make you feel like family! The problems come after orientation! I guess they are just buttering you up, get ready for a fk’n... It it sounds to good to be true, it normally is!!! Working for or with this company would be a complete waste of your time. Unless of course they make some changes in their nighttime personnel in regards to safety and driver management. Probably had one of the worst encounters of my life with one of their unprofessional drivers last night. Attempted to advise their company, but the coordinator made it clear that I was just wasting his time and that his driver was doing everything right. 👎🏻

Terrible experience put you on a bus to travel 12-15 hours. Have you for 4 days pass everything. Just for them to tell you you don't have a job not enough trucks or make up some petty reason why. WHY have people travel that far waste a week when could have been somewhere else getting a job. Just to tell you , they can't tell you why. Stupid thing is they called me and offered me a job said I had it. Pretty lousy.
