10 years ago I took in a new kitten and within 2 weeks she was near death. Dr. Pirtle diagnosed her with FIV and was able to give her the care needed to bring her back from the brink of death. Now that she is older she has digestive issues, due to the FIV, and she requires 2 shots every 6-8 weeks. When my cat shows signs that she needs the shots, I call and Savannah and Dr. Pirtle always get me an appointment immediately. Both of them are so caring and wonderful to deal with.

This is the BEST Place to take your Pet. I have been with them for about 20 years and I Do Not want to take my Babies ANYWHERE ELSE. It's clean and the People are so nice and I trust Dr Pirtle with my Babies Fully..He is so nice and kind to both myself and has been to all my pets.. He needed to put down 3 of my cats over the past 20 yrs cause of illness and age they were 13 - 16 yrs old and he was so kind and gentle to both of us. I now have a 2 yr old cat and he is so Great with her.

This is a great Vet. Do not get them confused with St. Francis Care in Murphysboro. They are not affiliated with them, they are 10x better and affordable as well. Everyone working there was nice and took the time to listen. I couldn't ask for a better place.

Thank you Dr. Pirdle at St.Francis Animal Hospital. Thank you for always being caring And the staff very friendly and caring as well. Sebastian had cancer and had reached his final days he was laid to rest Friday the 16th of March. He is now running and playing at the rainbow bridge and he is no longer in pain. Thank you from the bottom of my heart where Sebastian has definitely left foot prints forever

So disgusted w this placeHaven’t need a vet for my dogs in a while they areVery loved n taken care of. (Called once before yesterday since 2017) They couldn’t het my pit bull in last year when she was sick so I went to emergency vet and YESTERDAY I called again in need of compassion and help! I have to have my baby put down and they couldn’t help them either was gonna refer me out to emergency clinic!MY ANIMALS WILL NEVER GO BACK TO SUCH A UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNCARING PLACE!No one wants to make the phone call I did yesterday to have to make an appt to put down ur fur baby you people make me sick

Very disappointed with this office and will be immediately taking all our animals to Dr. Murdach at the other vet clinic in town. Our family dog and all our animals have gone to st Francis animal hospital for years and years, spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars here especially when our German Shepard got treated for heart worm, the only time he did not go to st Francis is when we took him to the Elkville fire department to get his rabies shot while they had event there last year. Well, today our German Shepard was having a medical emergency and needed attention immediately. When we called we were told that they will not take him in (even though it was an emergency) because we didn’t get his last round of shots there and we now have to take him to the vet that did them, even tho he has gone to at Francis his entire life and we needed immediate help. They still refused us. So we called Dr. Murdach at the du quoin vet clinic and they got our poor pup in immediately and he has never been toMurdach ever. We found out that our German shepherd had a stomach infection and it was shutting down his liver, Dr murdach said if we would have waited any longer then our dog wouldn’t have made it. So thank you St Francis for almost putting our whole family in devastation and losing our dog!!!! but a true thank you to Dr Murdach at the Du Quoin vet clinic for saving our dogs life without hesitation! That is what true animal lovers and a great vet clinic do! Safe to say that we will never be back to St Francis Animal Hospital!
