I love supporting local and Zeta is the perfect place for all foodies and coffee lovers, with a cozy environment in the community. Every sip of their in-house roasted coffee is a journey, bold flavors perfectly balanced with a smooth finish. They have had seasonal drinks, every season, that add the perfect feel for the holidays. There selection of pastries and breakfast burritos are a delightful treat, each bite filled with rich, goodness. And the ice cream, oh, the ice cream! It is delicious packed with flavor - it's the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience. A must-visit spot!

Easy for travelers to access. It's right off the expressway in an area that doesn't have much. Bakery case, plenty of seating. On street parking but easy to do. Coffee, a few menu items and ice cream.

Great coffee, friendly service nice atmosphere for a small town coffee shop. I stopped in for a shot of espresso and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a single shot and I believe owner of the shop gave me a double because it was a very large shot. I appreciate it thanks for your kindness. They also have a large selection of ice cream and board games.Vegetarian options: Vegan ice cream!

We needed a pit stop to stretch our legs and get something to drink. Google maps showed we The Union coffeeshop was right off I74. We love to support local. There is a good selection of pastries and coffee to choose from. Each day there are different flavors of the day. Also for the pumpkin spice lovers, there are plenty of food and drink options. Stop by if you are traveling on I74 by Downs, Illinois and support local.

My husband and I always try to support local small businesses, but this was the worst iced chai I have ever had. It tasted like old burnt coffee. Chai tea is a very easy drink to make and I usually order this because most people can’t screw it up, unfortunately I was proven wrong. I threw my drink out it was so bad! We will not be going back.

Great place we stumbled onto as we were passing through! Awesome and unique flavors of ice cream. When i couldn't decide they blew my mind and told me i could get 2 half scoops to make a single scoop!Great space and really nice staff. We will stop again next time we're in Downs.

Great staff, great ice cream, scones & coffee! Ordered an affogato & it was so delicious! Took a scone to go which I froze & ate later. I make my own scones which are hard to top but the texture in this one was so good! I will definitely keep this place on my radar. Next time I’ll probably try some different flavors this scone was orange but so perfectly balanced with moisture & crumbles with a really nice glaze. Kudos to the baker! Yum! 😋

The Union in Downs IL is a great little coffee and ice cream shop. They have espresso drinks, coffee, tea, ice cream, dole whip, breakfast burritos, and a daily case of pastries. Great spot to work or study, have a meeting, or hang out in a welcoming and comfortable environment. Kid friendly.

Would give zero stars if possible. It used to be the best coffee shop around. There was a dude who worked on there who rocked a Steelers cap who did a fantastic job and is never there on Sundays anymore, and that young blonde girl has no idea what she's doing it seems like. My old lady and I show up every Sunday and these past few Sundays have been the worst experiences we've ever had with a coffee shop. Unless they get that dude back in there on Sundays, we will legitimately never be back, and that sucks because we used to like that place.

Locally owned coffee and ice cream shop. Owner/operators are super nice people. Ice cream is great, and it's a really neat atmosphere. Shop was a union hall in it's early days. The hardwood is original and they've brought in a couch and various games. Strongly recommend.

Coffee is delicious! Ross, Amber and Kyle were so warm and welcoming. The building is beautiful and could be a great place to host an event or meeting. Our only regret was not getting one of the over 30 flavors of ice cream!

EXCELLENT coffee shop!!! They serve everything from foo foo drinks to ice cream to great espresso. I got 3 shot of espresso over ice with cream...and it was excellent quality. The BEST part about this place is that they're open at night!!! I went at 7pm and they had quite the crowd of families and couples. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff.
