I brought my dog for deluxe treatment for Allie to take care of her for the first time she said she will take 1.5, 2 hours. After 1.5h I went there to hear that she had emergency and she needed to leave nobody called nothing. Then they said that one of the groomers will step in Donna, and but I need to wait for an hour for it. Thanks Donna, I highly appreciate your help. It was rushed and she did what she could. Allie should be held accountable for this kind of behaviour. Not going back ever again. No for purchases or anything else. Petsmart not so smart.

This location is exceptional. While walking outside of 5Below which is right next door, I noticed a bird flipped over on it's back hanging on for dear life in the cold. SO many people walked pass and did NOTHING so I ran to PetSmart which I frequent a few times a week for my cat & they were the ONLY ones to help that poor bird. THANK YOU for not letting that bird die alone in the cold suffering. This isn't the first time the staff has went above and beyond either. I just recently adopted my cat so on her way to the vet (it was only her 2nd car ride) she did not do well and I had to stop here on my way home for her. Rather than bringing a distraught cat inside, they just had me call and they brought what I needed right out to my car for me. You guys are seriously great, and I just wanted to let you know I appreciate all you do! Thank you so much again for your help today. <3

Waste of time going here if you we’d goldfish. They wouldn’t let me spend my money there because I didn’t have tank info. Oh well, their loss, bought exactly what I was looking for at a different pet store, next time I won’t even waste my time going to petsmart.

Absolutely love the grooming salon at this Petsmart. We have had the pleasure to have many of the groomers work their magic on our little schnoodle Sunny - most recently, Donna, Rebecca and Samm. They are all so sweet to our little girl, and she always comes out looking like a superstar. I always see them engaging with the other dogs who are in the salon, and they are just as caring to all of them, showing special love and attention to dogs who seem scared or anxious. They really treat each pup as if it were their own. The feeling of our baby being safe and cared for is priceless. She looks forward to our monthly visits! Their prices are also so reasonable. Very grateful for this grooming salon - i cannot recommend it enough!

We love bringing our pup to the vet at PetSmart. They are always so sweet with her. Also, the store is well stocked and have decent sale prices. It's fun to bring your pet because they give treats at the checkout. Our favorite is the freeze dried chicken ! Huge selection. Great customer service.

You don’t even deserve one star, but I can’t leave the review without giving one star!! I went into the store tonight at 845, after shopping around at a few other stores for fish to complete my tank. We waited around after looking at the tanks to decide which fish we were going to add to our tank. At 904pm, a young teenage little girl walks over to the area, doesn’t make eye contact with us and doesn’t ask us if we are in need of any help. As she walks away, I ask if someone can help us with a few fish and her response was, “Ugh, we already closed and the button is right here.” What happened to Customer Service? Why wouldn’t she come up and ask us if we are doing okay and if there is anything she can do to assist?!!!!! If she had done that, I would be going home with the fish that I spent two hours shopping around for in order to complete my tank!!! Her work ethic and attitude is completely disgusting! Petsmart, do better!

Donna is incredible!! The entire staff is amazing!! I have an aggressive rescue that was abused, never socialized… (over 90LBS and still a puppy) He’s petrified of hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, umbrellas, candles!!!…lol, the list goes on!! As soon as Donna greets him, it’s like he’s meeting his long lost friend! She is able to do an entire grooming w/ furminator, cut his nails and DRYYYY HIM. He even goes crazy when I’m using my own hair dryer in the bathroom. She is an actual miracle, and truly heaven sent! They are all truly gifted and beyond patient. He really loves everybody at this location, and lets them pet him ,which neverrrr happens. (Ask my vet 😩😭🤦🏼‍♀️) Donna has an energy that is truly unmatched. She is a real dog whisperer. I will never take my big boy to anyone else. When I tell you this woman is truly gifted, I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Thank you Donna, from both of us 🏻 And thank you to the whole Petsmart Downers Grove Staff. We are beyond grateful!!

Wanted to give one star due to my recent experience with one technician at the grooming salon. Was very rude from start to finish and I was about to be given the wrong dog when I went back to pick up my dog. (I wish my dog could talk) But the store employees are always very helpful and my past experiences have been nothing but positive. No place is perfect. I'll be sure to ask for a different groomer next time!

Zaraiya did great with Elvis. He was super clean and smelled great he even gave her a kiss goodbye. This is the best location I have taken him to yet. I will definitely book with her from now on. Thank you so much Zaraiya!!

This place was great! We went in to get gerbils, expecting them to just hand us gerbils and walk away, but instead, the worker made sure we had all the necessities, recommended food, treats, little toys, all without over pushing like most people would. Our gerbils are healthy and love to play! They are very social and get along well! Thank you PetSmart of Downers Grove!!!

Love this store and the employees. Top spot for all my dog's needs. Also just started taking my dog to the grooming salon. He is a 65 lb poodle/terrier. Groomer Angie does an amazing job and my dog enjoys going there because all the peopke are so kind and friendly.

It's okay usually have what I need people are a little cranky there sometimes. The ladies that were looking after the cats did seem friendly. They make it very hard to adopt a cat there. You could be the best person in the world , but if they don't like you.... No cat for you!! Come back one year. LOL. I still shop there, I just try to figure it out on line and avoid people there. Enjoy.

I used to love PetSmart for everything pet related for dogs, parrots and snakes. More recently, when there's an offer for buy 2 get the 3rd for free, the third isn't available. It's maddening to say the least when peanuts in their shell for parrots, only has 2 bags. This happens all the time and for different things.

The flexibility of their grooming department absolutely sucks!! They are supposed to be open and available until 8:00 p.m.. twice I came all the way out for a nail trim and arrived at 7:00 p.m.. both times they "closed early " will not come here again for nail service since they are very inflexible. They should at least had one member on staff available just in case..

Wonderful, knowledagable, pet friendly people. Everyone from the floor rep, cashier, and folks in the back who handle special food orders/presciptions are lovely. It was first time purchasing special food for my cat and the team walked me through the process so I can easily make purchases in the future. Also, the floor staff was knowledagble and cashier was friendly. Thanks PetSmart Team!

Anyone else experience a crazy, long process when ordering a speaciality dog food from PetSmart. I've used the online checkout numerous times and have not have a continuously easy experience. I've made an online order, had my card drafted, and never received the order. I've been told the order could not be completed because my cc information could not be verified. I've been told the order could not be processed at this time and to check back later... I'm unsure if this is common, but no one has time to spend 30 minutes trying to order only 12 cans of dog food that I will have to reorder in two weeks. The process is too complicated to be real and I'm considering going elsewhere with my business as the online ordering system is atrocious.

Staff was not paying attention to the growing line of customers, instead talking amongst themselves. No greeting. No communication besides one female employee with glasses who took us on register 2. She was so nice, and she was able to get us checked out quickly.

My pup and I always have a good time here. The staff obviously cares about their job and about your pets. They are always offering pets and treats to our puppy. We have had good success with their puppy training and grooming so far as well.

Tiana was a really great help today she help with just about everything on the other hand the girl I originally asked with the glasses and long hair did the opposite seemed like she didn’t care I wanted to get more things but unfortunately her attitude killed it for me ! On the other hand Tiana helped me with my cage and got a cart and also recommended me a couple things very nice lady! She definitely needs a raise for what she does !

Enjoyed grooming of Lindsey for our puppy that i prepaid for 2 more visits. Unfortunately when i tried to reschedule and couldn't get one appointment, i figured I'll go to another location for now and come back next time. I asked for a refund and Chris the manager said they can't give me a refund if i don't have the receipt. Yet they see in their system/record that i prepaid. If you see the prepaid record, you should be able to get the refund!! Chris as a manager need more customer service training. She just lost my business by how she addressed this issue! This is the Butterfield location of Petsmart.

Friendly staff, good range of products.They have a good variety of fishes. There are limited species of birds tho. I wasn't expecting snakes and lizards of different types, so I amazed to see these animals.They also offer adoption facility for cats. Adoption fee for cat was $100 for each cat when I visited.

This store is always very clean and neat. Not like other places with odors and stuff every where. Customer service and doctors are friendly and helpful. The grooming service is fantastic. The prices for the hospital can get a little hefty so make sure you understand what is expected to be done on your pet visit to the doctor at Banfield.
