I contemplated writing this review for about a week now, but my husband and I keep bringing up this one employee in conversation and how much she really did rub us the wrong way.We recently adopted a dog and took her into this Petco. We've never been inside a Petco before and were expecting workers to be present to help us out with questions as we shopped for our new pet. When we couldn't find anyone in the store, we asked a woman at the front cash register if she could help us (Sue). Immediately she started providing feedback to us. At first, we were very receptive and appreciative of Sue and her feedback. She let us know that she did the dog training classes at the store...but as time went on and on and she continued to give us advice and take us around the store and ask us questions, we began to realize that some of her advice was frankly stupid and also that she was talking down to us.She'd take us to the dog bowl section and say which dog bowl would you choose? Then, we'd pick one and she'd go "Wrong!" and inform us of the correct bowl to pick. Okay, we get it, we're new at this and we want you to tell us what are the best products for our new family member but you don't need to make us feel bad about it.Another example, we wanted to buy additional treats for our dog because she was responding to a turkey bacon treat that Sue was giving her. Unfortunately, there was only one pack of the turkey bacon left. When I was browsing the other treat options to look for something else she told me, "Stay away from those. You don't need anymore treats for your dog." It made me feel like I couldn't freely browse the store without her critiquing my every decision.The pet food she advised me to buy? I found out from my Vet that it's overpriced and there are better options for dogs. Even down to wanting to buy her a bed- "Don't buy her that, she'll just tear it up."Probably the most shocking and awful advice she gave us was to give our dog a treat when it goes potty in the house. We did not take her advice. Our dog was potty trained in 2 days. When we told her we did not agree with her advice she said, "Would you yell at a baby if it pooped its pants?" I said, "No, I wouldn't yell at my dog either but I'm certainly not going to give anyone a treat and say good job." To which she responded, "Wait until you have kids, you'll see."This one visit made me and my husband never want to go into this Petco again simply because we don't want to have to interact with her.

Medium fish hobbyist...here.I upgraded for some angel fish to a larger tank.Shopping for filter, heater and light. I return my fluval filter for a sponge. I had 3 items to return, cashier tried to tell me out of it. Said,"whatever" when I told her she waited in me before & I didn't care to get into it. Attitude at Petco. Katrina No....

I adopted two baby red-eared turtles (from Indiana), and needed all supplies quickly. Nick, aquatic specialist at this location, was super friendly, very knowledgeable, didn't make me feel rushed at all, AND saved me money. Martha and Rufus (baby turtles) and I so lucky, and they're thriving!! BIG THANKS, NICK AND PETCO!!

This company has to go back to the basics.Be able to recognize a phone.Learn to hear a phone ringing.Master the art of answering the phone.Seriously, all of the dial options for this place just hang up on you (customer service, grooming, etc).

Couple of things. The sales shelf cards advertising the various sizes of cat food on sale were placed by the large cans that I bought, which unfortunately were not on sale. As we waited at the register for the sales person to check, we were in awe of the heavy metal music blaring over the store sound system. It is supposed to be background music for the shoppers not a workers boom box.

Multiple employees assisted me when I showed up without my contacts. They even helped load my cart up with my wife on the phone being very picky with brand of cat/dog food! Respectful and kind with a caring atmosphere. Love this place.

The lady working helped me utilize all the coupons and deals that I could and happily Brought my pickup purchases to the front of the store to ring me up. She was very helpful and cared about making sure I got all the best deals.

We went in the store today looking for a dog cage we found online for 50% off. The price on the shelf was not updated, so we asked our cashier, Katrina, for help. She was very friendly and easily noticed that the price online was correct. She then helped us check out and was once again very friendly with the whole process. Shoutout to Katrina for being such a helpful, friendly person.

Greeted for 8am nail trim appt only to be told WE we’re wrong to have made the appointment. They said, next time, let’s start with ‘nail trimming’, because it caused them all kinds of problems with the employees, register, etc. This was the store’s fault, not ours! How are we supposed to know the store’s policy!? Then, very miserable cashier took our money but made us feel as if we inconvenienced her. We’ve been coming here for years but after this visit we will Not be coming back.

I take my dog Daisy to Petco 2B groomed by Amanda about every six weeks. She is fantastic always takes great care of my baby. I recommend her to anyone who loves their dog as much as I do!

So disappointed with grooming services. We booked an appointment for full grooming ahead of time and reached 10mins before the appointment.., only to know they have 5 appointments for the same slot of 1:30pm and will take 4 hours to complete the service. They confirmed to call when he is almost ready to pick up. Never received a call even after 4 hours and went to pick our puppy up. He wasn’t ready Still.,,,he wasn’t brushed thoroughly nor dried ( even after an appointment and 4 hours of wait). Highly dissatisfied and do not recommend for grooming.

The store is asking their customers to pay 10 cents for the cheap regular plastic bags. If you do care about the planet wellness and environment then stop selling tons of plastic from your store, and use paper or recycled bags. Taking advantage of your customers by additionally charging them for the regular bags at the register not a good idea 😕

It’s your local Petco. Clean, stocked and friendly folks. Come here about once a week with prices being reasonable. I also found the latest fur baby from the animal shelter that runs out of Petco. My cat is the cutest and I am so happy I found her and all I needed that day was dog food !

Stopped in for cat litter and food as I had a gift card. I don't normally shop Petco for pet supplies. Their prices are just about the same as every other pet shop. I found the store very difficult to navigate with a shopping cart as there were holiday displays EVERYWHERE and difficult to get a cart around.

I will no longer shop at petco, I wanted to return/exchange boots I got for my puppy that did not fit WITH the receipt. When I purchased them I asked the girl if I could return them and she said yes with the receipt. Well when I went to do this I was told no and then told to call customer service because it was out of their control in the store, I called customer service and then they told me it was the store who had to take care of me. Well what a waste of time plus the employee was rude and the manager couldn’t even come up to acknowledge the problem so now I’m stuck with boots that don’t fit and then to top it off my husband has contacted customer service also and they keep telling him they will look into it and call him back it’s now been 3 weeks and he’s called them 5 times and they keep giving him the runaround… well let’s just say we will take our business to the plenty of other pets stores that appreciates their customers like petsmart, chewy, pet people, two Boston, Amazon, ect. Clearly petco is where the pets go if you want to be treated poorly.

Always a great experience here. The cashier, I didn't catch his name helped me pick out boots for my pooch and was so helpful and the grooming department is great too. I wont get my dog groomed anywhere else. Keep up the good work!

I went there to get a better tank for my fish, and the guy on the sales floor was very rude. He was sparky, and was acting like he was better than me (and I'm the one who owns the fish). He kept bothering my friend and I, and the other sales people were constantly trying to upsell me something that I didn't want or need. Not to mention that you pretty much have to buy all the parts of the tank separately which just adds to the cost.Please be more polite, and don't just interrupt a conversation between people so you can offer "advice".

Well stocked with amount and variety. Havent been there in years but had to get new light fixtures for my snake tanks. Lately I havent been happy with the selection at pet supplies or petsmart so decided to try here. Glad I did.

First time purchasing online and decided to do curbside pickup too. Calling the store was easy to navigate with the prompts, and the girl came out very quickly. She thanked me and I was on my way! Easy ~ Peasy!!
