As a satisfied advocate for my spoiled pet, I absolutely love this small business owned bakery. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. I was given many generous samples of their stews and homemade sweet potato chew! My Irish Terrier approves of her first treat by Happy Dog Bakery!

We purchased a custom-order cake for our dog’s 15th birthday. It looked beautiful, was ready on time, and was very reasonably-priced. Went last minute and was able to get a beautiful birthday cupcake for my niece , I was also able to obtain the birthday hats and candle !! It was delicious she enjoyed it! Will definitely be our go to place for treats. Staff was extremely friendly.

I got a cake here today for my sweet girl's 13th birthday and it was a hit! The staff was incredibly nice, I took my greyhound to pick the cake up and she got so many treats and attention. It was a 45 minute drive for me but absolutely worth it, and I'll definitely be back for my other guy's birthdays as well!

The process of purchasing the cake online was fast and easy. When I went to pick up the cake, the workers were welcoming and kind. They have a variety of other desserts in the store as well. The cake was amazing and my dog loved it. Will definitely come back next year.

EVERYBODY needs to visit this place and pick up an adorable cake. I buy them for my dogs every year and they are SUPER affordable. Abby helped me yesterday and she was an absolute doll. She was so friendly and made sure I loved the cake! It is always a 10/10 experience here. I will always recommend this place! An absolute gem in the suburbs.

Wonderful place for fur friend gifts. I have had happy dog make me custom cookies for several of my furry clients as closing gifts. The one pictured to the left was made for my mini pincher friend Jack. He was moving to Florida with his family and I asked for flamingo cookies. They ended up matching the bandanna I bought him without even planning it.

Love this place so much! We ordered the cake completely online and the process was so easy. Our dog Zelda loved it so much she was trying to jump on the counter to get her paws on it early! And how adorable are the colors?! All the staff were so nice and friendly as well :)

I was looking for a treat to celebrate Lola's first gotcha day and stumbled across this page. In the past, I've made cakes and pupcakes myself, but no where near as cute as these looked! Online ordering was easy, I got a confirmation text saying the cake would be ready in time, and pickup was a breeze. The store itself is so cute & has so many treat options. We did the peanut butter cake with carob frosting with custom colors (red & blue) to match the banner I made. The cake was even cuter in person than I was imagining! Lols was a big fan of the cake and has been having a little each day (upon pickup, we were told it would last about 10 days in the fridge). Very glad we chose this barkery and looking forward to using them again in the future!

HDB was a fun stop in my our tour down Main St. It got a bit crowded and busy since we happened to drop by during the ice cream social, but the friendly and oh-so helpful staff had us quickly checked out and on our way. Our pup Daisy had a blast meeting new friends while enjoying a tasty treat.

We love happy dog barkery!! My dogs love getting free cake samples! Staff is very kind and caring making sure they take great care of their furry customers! Birthday cakes are super cute and the dogs love them! The dog barkery also has a great selection of natural chews and premium dog food including small batches of premade raw. Booked the birthday cake for my 1 year old boy Toffee. I really appreciate the effort they spent making a such lovely customized cake. They even put Toffee’s name on the birthday board. I had really great experience there shopping for my dog. Though I live in downtown Chicago, I would come back.

Wow!!!!! If you have dogs…. You need to visit this incredible store!! Forget pet smart or petco this place is amazing!!! My dog Jamie turned 7 today and I stopped by to purchase a cake! Not only are they so knowledgeable about dogs in general and what they have to offer in store but incredibly friendly. I cannnot rave enough about how great this place impressed me in just a matter of minutes. The only down fall for me ( not really I don’t mind driving ) is that it’s 45mins away from my house.As I purchased the first cake I was on my way home and I immediately had to brake drastically, 20mins on the highway and I ruined the frosting. I went back and they immediately took care of me. I asked what was the difference because I was more then happy to pay for there service on re frosting my dogs cake, they didn’t charge me! They were so understandable and helped me by repackaging the cake a different way so I wouldn’t have an accident again. Thank you girls so much who helped me this afternoon.The first picture I am sharing is the first cake that I accidentally ruined the frosting. Second pic is the new and re frosted cake. I took some photos of the shop and the ladies who stepped out to help other customers! Last pics are my dog Jamie enjoying the cake and cupcakes I got him!!!Thanks again!! FYI all the birthday gear and toys I also got here.

This cake was shipped to me in California and arrived in perfect condition, absolutely gorgeous!! It looked so good, I had to stop a human family member from eating it. Skipper gives it two paws up, and the rest of us give it five stars.

Love this store!! My dog has tons of allergies and it’s always been a struggle finding her treats she can have. I love the options they have for their dog cakes and frosting. Ordering online was super easy, and I made a mistake on my order form and put the wrong date without realizing! When Sue reached out to confirm the order, I initally panicked and wanted to cancel. She was so accommodating and understanding, she asked what date I actually needed the cake by and she was able to have it done by then. I highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back!

HDB has been my ONLY choice for special occasions for my furry family! I drive out to here from Wrigleyville (Chicago) to pick up their custom celebration cakes, stews, cookies! It’s worth the time & gas 1,000x!! Beth has gone out of her way to make me celebration cakes when I’ve failed to order w/in the 48hr window. This place is HEAVEN SENT!

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place a little over a year ago for my dogs first birthday. such a cute little business that is full of fun and exciting things for your pet. They coordinate some really cute/fun activities for all of us animal lovers!My little peanut is such a picky eater, but LOVES everything this bakery has to offer. The staff is patient and kind and willing to help you find something your furry friend will love...whether that’s a toy, bakery item, accessory, kibble, you name it! If I lived closer, I’d probably be here an unhealthy amount!

Love this place! Have been getting birthday cakes for my dogs from here for years. Has a great selection of homemade dog treats and national brands. My dogs also enjoy their homemade stews on top of their dog food for little variety. Added bonus, they have the friendliest people working here.

We love this store. The owner and employees are always happy to help, and are always trying to bring new and fresh items to the store. Prices are reasonable compared to similar stores. I love the variety and selection, and the food/treat rewards system. My dog loves her new coat we bought for her for rainy or colder days. Great fresh baked bakery for your pups ( cookies, pupcakes, and celebration cakes)

We could not be more impressed by a business. This year we decided to celebrate our dogs 10th Birthday and were referenced to the Happy Dog Barkery. We ordered a custom Birthday Cake and after picking up, we saw a small letter error. After calling and informing them of the minor error, despite it not being a huge issue, they still decided to send us an apology package. As you can see in the above photos, Samantha absolutely loved her cake, and the humans loved watching her eat it just as much. If you’re thinking of throwing your dog a birthday, look no further, this place is truly exceptional.

Knowledgable and so friendly. I traveled an hour from Chicago because of the reviews and I have to say my dogs went NUTS over their cakes. We had the liver cake with apple sauce frosting. Never seen my dogs devour a cake so quickly!
