They blocked me on Facebook because I started letting other possible customers know that they were selling a product for double the MSRP. Purposely taking advantage of your customers is NOT ok for a small business and people should know the facts before giving you their hard earned money.

PE is a lovely shop that sells board games, tabe top games, miniatures and comics. They have a wide selection and are willing to order if needed. Pleasant, family friendly atmosphere.

Looking for that specific Magic card...? Head downstairs. Wanting to play a game of Magic or order the ewest Magic card box? Head on over. Maybe a game of D&d? This shop is has most everything. D&D, Magic the Gathering and comic books. Did I mention the hand painted miniatures? This is a family owned business and the miniatures are painted by the family. I recommend stopping in and getting to know the family and see what they have to offer.

Very cool store with the old town feel. Stopped in while passing through town and was treated very poorly. After the kids picked out all their items they seen a mini fridge that had a sign on it that said pop .50 cents. And they wanted an orange pop and me a diet. After they tugged on the handle a coupe times it wasn't opening so I looked under it and seen that a tiny piece of metal was down keeping it from opening. I pushed it up and opened it as soon as I did an extremely mad lady came and said "DID YOU JUSF OPEN FRIDGE!! Like I did something wrong I explained to her that we didn't know if was locked and she needed to open it. She was very upset and grabbed the key and then accused us of breaking her fridge... Very sad to be treated so poorly in a small town business that felt so neat. Maybe she was just having a really bad day but I hope for the sake of that cute store she's learns how to have some better customer service skills. So to some it up as long as you don't try and get a pop you might be okay.

They have a very wide selection of board games and comics. They also have stuff for miniatures if you're into that sort of thing. I got some DnD stuff here. They also have Pathfinder things, and some toys.Staff are very pleasant and fun to chat with about games. One of my favorite places in Dixon!

In response to the owner, How could you make my experience better.First off let me say you did nothing wrong. But as a brick an mortar store I am aware prices will always be higher and i'm willing to pay that premium to shop local. Admittedly I've only been to the store a handful of times since the new ownership. But I see no attempt at being competitive with other stores or online prices.Again I am aware I will never get Amazon prices, but I also don't want to pay over double for a book that I can get at a super store. The book I was interested in was marked at $50 which is already over MSRP. I can find the book for 24.99 online or in a big box store. I feel if you priced a little more competitively (heck I would have picked up the 3 books I needed if they were 39.99) but I could not bring myself to take such a hit knowing I could save over 75 dollars just by buying online.Again there is nothing wrong with your store nor am I mad for any reason. you asked what would make my experience better and I explained my thoughts. I have noticed there are a few things priced reasonably and if I ever have a need I will be sure to stop by your place first before shopping online.if you guys end up with more competitive pricing (again I know there is only so much wiggle room for you little guys) I would shop at your store a lot more. If nothing comes of this review, then so be it I hope you all the best! After all it makes me sad to see so few small gaming stores around.

I shop and play here every weekend for the last 2 years. Love the environment and the people. It's a great place to hangout and browse or just fraternize a while. Can't recommend it enough. ^_^

The people at paper escape have been nothing but helpful everytime I have gone in. They have helped me out with getting my children interested in DnD and changing the rules to fit younger players. Which they now request to play every other day. Which is AWESOME. They have also been very welcoming to all of my inquiries about all sorts of related things. Please. Go check them out!!

Me and my friend stopped by last weekend and bought a $52 pallet of random mtg with 4 promo packs included but when we looked though all them the only mythic rares there was where fakes. They were printed from a computer a put in the box. Had tons of duplicates sometimes even up to 6+ of the same the same card when you only need 4 in a deck.

I have been doing business with Tom and his shop since I was a small child. Shop keeps are always polite and responsive. There is a sense of community felt through his shop and the activities/events he endorses. He always has what I need at a great price.

New owners who care! Remodeled the place to look more modern and now has gaming, cards board, magic the gathering Ad&d and others in the bacement. Was very warm and welcoming to come back to this establishment. I will be back

There are some really nice things there. The only problem is that an older guy was following and watching me like I was going to steal something, he walked up to me and said "You can put those up by the cash register and reserve it, or get out." He also said it in a tone like, you do it or else.
