The retail and pharmacy staff are friendly and accommodating. This location has a very busy pharmacy [I feel bad watching others in line moan and gripe] but I am treated nicely every time and get all my questions answered. If there is a long line and phones ringing, the Rx staff still keeps their cool while patrons are huffing and puffing. Every patient needs what they need and for it to be CORRECT! The Rx staff makes that happen while short-handed or dealing with slow computers. Upper Management needs to lend them a hand with making things MORE efficient for their staff because they ARE doing their BEST with what they've got!

Good selections, pretty clean location. Friendly staff. Busy Rx but always friendly and efficient. This place gets a bad rep but I have never had an issue. I have long waits at the pharmacy but they always treat me with respect, take their time, get it right, and I leave on a good note!

This is worst walgreens in this area. 9 out of 10 times when I go there, there's only one cashier and absolutely no one in the pickup/photo counter or anywhere else in the store. Usually have to wait forever to pickup. Not sure what are all the other staffs are doing on their staff room. All the other Walgreens I have been to have plenty of staffs available for help or would at least have a call button on the pickup counter.

This location has poor customer service. I was there on a Monday around 9PM. The store had a couple of customers browsing around the store. Not busy at all. The cashier was unwilling to help. He was rude, condescending and made you feel humiliated. I expected more out of Walgreens. I've had better experiences at CVS and will probably go there from now on.

Pharmacy has been great at communicating about low availability meds. It's tricky to find and they are friendly and efficient with letting me know if it's not in stock so I can quickly try to find it elsewhere. They do a nice job of complying with regulations while also not making it harder on the patient.

John in the pharmacy is so helpful. So attentive to customers and goes above and beyond in followup. Great customer service and prompt responses!! I've had questions over the years with insurance coverage, generic VS brand & John was patient and explained everything thoroughly. A+++

I was so delighted when the pharmacist took his time to call me and say my daughter’s prescription had been ready for two days “WOULD I LIKE TO HAVE IT DELIVERED TO THE HOUSE THIS AFTERNOON FOR FREE ? “. I was so confused. Yes we have this service if credit card is on file for copays we can deliver to you. We were at work but indicated my husband would be home by 6:30 pm. Medicine arrived at 7 pm promptly signature for delivery and done. Just wonderful compared to Park Ridge Cumberland when I am over stressed with picking up her medicine and get a phone call “ If you don’t get it by tomorrow we will put it back on the shelf “. I am going to have all our medications filled at Des Plaines as I clarified with Park Ridge evening pharmacist what had happened. He agreed this is available at all Walgreens. I said we never got this service from your store He told me to use Des Plaines. I guess just over workedThank you Des Plaines Claire ( A busy woman)

My wife went to drop off a prescription for me here after my vasectomy. They red flagged her and accused her of being a junkie and would not fill it. They made ME get up 6 hours post op to come get it. Everyone blames someone else and they theyre so super busy hiding behind covid plexiglass. I hope you all fall in batman acid and no one gets super powers from it.

This Walgreens is anything but convenient. I come here because it's less than a mile from my house and for prescriptions so I'm here like once a week. I don't think I've ever waited less than 10 minutes in line and the pharmacy is always 6-8 people deep.All the employees here are great or seem to be doing their best, Walgreens corporate needs to pay their employees fairly so they want to stay! This is a problem you can solve easily!

I walked up to pay and other cashier told my cashier to go home if she felt sick. She responded that she felt fine but just had a headache. Her nose was all read and clearly she did not look well. As I was paying she took a used kleenex out and wiped her nose. After that she immediately touched the keypad if the credit card machine, my bag, and my receipt which I told her to throw away with the same hand she wiped her runny nose with the kleenex with and she used no hand sanitizer. And people wonder why covid won't go away.

Stopping by our local Walgreens on river and Oakton and displayings to pick up some snacks good deal on the nice brand by 1 get 1 free. And 2 for 1 kind of deals at half price on almans always helpful.

This Walgreens is the most convenient for me so I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but contacting them is utterly impossible. Their phones never work or they just don’t answer them. I don’t know if this is a company wide issue or not. Plus the pharmacy staff has one particular girl who is unbelievably rude and wouldn’t even try to help when I asked ONE question.

Cashier gets a call at the register, I’m assuming from a manager, about staying late for a shift and proceeds to have a full blown conversation while there are four people in line. At the very least she could have kept scanning items. One customer had to bag all her own items because the cashier was too busy on the phone. Very unprofessional and frustrating

Went for passport photo. The lady named "Sam" was very friendly and very welcoming. Asked me for which country I need passport pictures for? I was never asked that. Even helped me with the places I could go for passport renewal. Very nice satff

Me and my wife love this location specially the pharmacy, they will always give their best to give or find you a discount. Everytime we buy here we always get a discount for some reason.We highly recomend it.

I wanted to get rid of some old pills, so I went to this Walgreens. They wouldn't take them but they gave me a list of governmental agencies that would. Des Plaines Police Dept was at the top of the list, so I went there to drop off the pills. They wouldn't take them . Thanks for wasting my time Walgreens.

Most slow Walgreens in the world, service is very very slow, sometimes they dont have the prescription in the stocks, they dont give u a call if they dont have ur items or further info etc
