I recently bought a Syrian Hamster from them. He is soooo cute! They keep them well in a warm container and provided with food and water and nice hideouts. The customer service was really helpful and gave me the best tips on owning a hamster for beginners and gave me nice food mix to feed him. I went there 2 weeks later to get him a hamster ball and told the employee that he keeps biting the cage. The employee was really helpful too and told me to upgrade the cage and try getting him a new toy. Then suggested a bigger ball. When I got home, my hamster absolutely loves the bigger ball. I am happy the worker suggested that to me. Would definitely recommend.

Very kind staff members who help give this location a Mom and Pop vibe. I went to pick up some cat supplies and had a wonderful conversation with the cashier. She gave plenty of helpful cat tips and told me about the benefits of signing up for a member card. I will definitely be coming back all thanks to her!

The store is very well organized and very easy to get what you need. they have a very good range of food in terms of price and always have something on sale which is a big help. Sometimes the lanes have some overstock in them but I understand it's inevitable with retail. Overall a very pleasant and worthwhile experience.

Great neighborhood spot to get supplies for your pets and ours have ranges from: lizard, fish and dogs. We also go here when our toddler wants to look at animals as a zoo alternative. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable as well.

Reliable if your needs are simple. If you need cat/dog food? Solid, local option in which the prices aren't out of line.Problem: Accessories like cat trees and toys are cheap, and dangerous.I bought a cat tree from here for around $100. The material it was made out of was cheap carpet that was easily shredded and had a dangerous tendency to expose long strands of stitching which could be pulled out even through common activity.I exchanged the original and had no trouble at all. The staff was very accommodating. However, the exchange product I got had the exact same problem. Too many times I found my 4-month-old kittens toying with a bit of string tied to detritus from the cheap carpet used to coat the entire cat tree.If while I wasn't looking these were consumed I would have been in an emergency vet, and paying many more hundreds of dollars for this failure of basic safety.This is obviously unacceptable, but after perusing the store to see if they had any other options available, it seemed that there were none. So not only is there home brand made of cheap and dangerous material, but they don't even provide an outsourced higher cost option for those who might be interested.Still good if I need food in a pinch. But for any more specific needs go somewhere else.

Clean. Easy to find products. Staff was available and asked if they could help you. I even called beforehand to ask about a product in stock, and they answered the phone promptly-no long wait. Courteous.

Being new to Chicago I thought this was going to be a small store with seriously overpriced items but I couldn't be more wrong. Been here a few times now and always a good, affordable experience and excellent selection. Quite a few things were the same price as the big websites and the staff legitimately cares. The supervisor that helped me yesterday with a couple things, I believe her name was Meredith, was top notch and represented the brand well. Excited to go back!

We were looking to get our dog different food, she has allergies to grain. We had no idea what to get. A staff member with special training in dog nutrition helped us find the best food and a supplement to help our baby feel better. Nice, knowledgeable people, it's the only place we go to get our pet supplies!!

My fish tank is thriving right now! I love shopping there. At least every other week, we visit and purchase something new for their home. We bought two snails and they do an awesome job at cleaning the tank. They have kittens ready to be adopted right now! The staff is very informative and friendly to answer your questions. Well stocked and full of surprises for your pet.
