Although the store itself is quite nice, never expect an employee to help you and if they do it won't be in a timely manner. Multiple times I've had to wait up to an hour or more just to get something out of a locked up case that other stores keep free. On one occasion I had to find and look for the same manager to ask them multiple times if they could find someone to unlock the jewelry case. This was over the course of about an hour.

The pickup system is messed up. When I get home with my order and putting everything away I’m either missing things or the things I ordered aren’t exactly what I ordered and aren’t listed as substitutions (ex: ordered peaches in 100% juice and got peaches in heavy syrup instead). Not only that but every time they load up your groceries in your trunk if you have a hatch back they place the milk right at the front edge of your trunk so when you go to open it the milk falls out and breaks open. Has happened 3 times now in a row even after asking them to place the milk in first before everything else. Basically have had to ask for a refund on every order through this specific walmart

I don't understand what's going on with the Walmart in DeKalb Illinois they are fired their employees because they are not able to work due to having COVID and they also have a doctor note but they are being forced to work

They made history in my world yesterday, I have used the pickup and or delivery services at Aldi, Meijers and Hyvee and have been so disappointed due to incomplete deliveries (most cases they didn't even try to find the items and even common things like milk), weird or no substitutions (I am a student and drive for a living so I always make a note that I am unavailable to ask choose next best) or to my absolute shock produce or meat that is so spoiled you can tell from across the room). So althoughthis service is a great asset to me it was a complete waste of money and time having to shop myself anyways afterwards a second time. So I decided to give Walmart a second try dispite the first time they substituted something with 6 boxes of the exact same hamburger helper, in which would take months to use because we don't eat it THAT often lol. However whoever shopped for us was absolutely perfect and this is the first time I have ever used a service like this and didn't need to make a trip to fill the gaps! There were a couple things they had to substitute and even though I couldn't respond to all, they made choices anyways like someone would shopping for themselves so whatever the other items were they were close enough I didn't even notice putting everything away. This experience went so well I might even start using it regularly until I am done with school! I never did understand how something so simple and everyone does, suddenly becomes a complicated process doing it for someone else. Just shop like you would for yourself and you can never go wrong!

Way too many self check outs, but plenty of staff to watch you scan and bag items, then check your receipt. Then there are the workers picking items for curbside or online orders who leave that giant cart of theirs in your way. Then act like you are the major inconvenience by being in store. Walmart never was the best but things were better before self check out and the curbside.

Pickup Service during the evening hours are terrible. I’m always waiting more than 30 minutes for an already prepared order. Management needs a new team that can expedite the service faster.

I bought work pants and a belt from this walmart on 3/11one pair of pants the button came off and the belt buckle came offthey wouldnt exchange it or return it . I have the receipt but not the bar code on the item .I dont know about you but I dont leave the tags on my close until the warranty runs out .totally dissatisfiedI was looking at other reviews and it doesn't look they even care, no responses

Standard Wal-Mart. Decently clean store and well-stocked. Service seems about average, possibly better. Wal-Marts are notorious for concentrating a less savory crowd--but these folk need a place to shop too, of course. Word to the wise, watch your purse/wallet and cart like a hawk. Otherwise, this is a fine store.

I avoid this place as much as possible. It's always super busy. Staff would rather talk with other staff or on their phones than help a customer or stock shelves. Isles have gotten smaller. It was already hard enough to get through the store with all the people. Then they want you to check yourself out and bag your items, but want to check your receipt at the door? If you want to make sure I paid, meet me at the checkout and do your job there.

Automotive department is terrible. Every single time something happens. Lost a bolt, tires on delay, cancel appointments without calling and telling me or to reschedule, prices change, hidden fees... the list literally goes on and on. I'm done with walmart.

It sounds like i am not the only one that has their online orders set to "picked up" and credit card charged before even picking up the order. It said mine was picked up at 1:19 pm, and it wasnt me! Called and they said oh my bad, we still have it though. give us a call when you get here. I call - it was such a hot mess. No One knew what i was talking about. The guy was telling me his manager was busy unloading a truck and wouldn't be able to help me for 20+ minutes. i said, ok ill go inside and get my money back from customer service. Oh my god... The whole department is ran by teens who don't know what the hell to do. No one could help me! Im seeing the same thing in other peoples reviews. No Help. No Manners. No clue at all. So rude. Even my 9 year old was like...mom what is going on? Son - no damn clue.

I am writing this review on shub beauty which is located in dekalb walmart. She is worst and disrespect the customers. She said that i know your status you cant give tip. Please walmart look around that store reviews take an action upon that.

DO NOT USE Dekalb Beauty located inside of the Dekalb Walmart. This place has double charged my girlfriend for her eyebrows on several occasions they have been informed of the problem and still keeps making the same "mistake." Needless to say we will not be making any purchases with this establishment ever again. We had to have the card locked while the payment(s) are disputed.

08-16-2022: Why are the shelves still empty?Not to busy but the scary part is how empty the shelves were. I know this is an ongoing problem but I was still in shock when I noticed all the refrigerated display cases down the center empty. I had to shoot a couple videos and this is the worse I've seen in the past two years of covid.Overall the store didn't look too dirty or a mess other than the annoying skids of useless items from China that we can't eat. It appears that the imported item supply chain isn't feeling the same crunch as the Food supply 🤔 . Let's all keep praying 🙏, America needs our prayers. Jesus Christ has always been and always will be the answer for America.

This Walmart has some of the dumbest people I have ever met. I did an online order and you dont even have the stuff in stock. Then I ask the employees where to pick it up and they send me to Pharmacy but that was wrong. All Walmarts should be shut down for the lack of respect for Veterans. No one could help me when I rode in on a cart. Your stores are Pathetic!!!!

Horrible customer service. The greeters always make me uncomfortable and they always look away like they hate their jobs. Why are they there? Cashiers are rude and stare as if I’m going to steal something… and they give rude looks or just avoid altogether. 👎🏾

Walmart is not my favorite place to shop especially around holidays. However the past few times I’ve gone in an employee named Michael has been super helpful. He asks if you need help and is so polite. I hope he knows how wonderful he is at his job and how refreshing is it to see someone genuinely in a good mood and not grumpy like a lot of other Walmart workers(which I don’t blame them for being grumpy haha)

Brain dead employees. Self checkouts suck. I was trying to buy a box for $0.68 and it wasn’t scanning - kept saying it was not in the system. I could have figured out how to make my own box from scratch in the amount of time it took the one self checkout associate assigned to all registered to confirm I wasn’t trying to rip them off. I NEVER would ripoff any store, but if I did, it wouldn’t be for a total purchase of $0.68.

I don't think I met an associate on the floor that didn't say hi, offer assistance or could help answer a question. The cashier's are usually highschool kids and a little less friendly/knowledgeable.... but to be honest I use self checkout cause I just like to know where stuff is and make sure I have my stuff organized.🤷😅

Isles after isle is empty on my routine weekly visits. I contacted Walmart corporate with my complaint letting them know that I have pictures of many of the empty isles. Corporate e-mailed me that the Manager of this Walmart would contact me , several weeks later I have not heard from the manager.

BEWARE!!! This location marks pick up orders as picked up, even after they are cancelled. They marked mine as picked up and I wasn’t anywhere near the store.I am contacting corporate and the Illinois State Attorney General for relief. Walmart has been no help.

They sold me a FILTHY, recently used toaster oven at full price. I was not aware until it was already in my home. A dirty FOOD appliance during COVID??? To top it off, one of the store managers - Erin - could not be less caring and dismissive when dealing with the issue. Save time and money going to Target where the managers actually finished 8th grade and learned a thing or two about customer service.

Recently was searching for an immunization.I hadn't been to Walmart for that before, but it had what I needed. The Pharmacy staff were excellent. Especially Lanesha. There was a problem with my insurance and she went above and beyond to try to help me get it resolved. I had a similar experience at another pharmacy and they were nowhere near as helpful and patient. Great work Lanesha!

Poorly staffed, the staff they do has no customer service skills. Never Smile rarely say hello. If you get a chance to check out. Products are often not in stock, yes Walmart's the cheapest, but typically, it's not there these days. Go to another store they're stocked very well so it's not a supply issue. Just poorly ran. Nasty ppl at the door wanting to check your receipt...

Terrible store. No management what so ever. The employees are so poor that the collectibles are always taken by workers at this store. 🤣🤣 The trading card vendor, (chubby, young, pregnant girl) is obnoxious and taking the product before it hits the shelf. Must be nice to work at a store where you can take what you want before anyone else. Some of y’all need to be fired. 🗑️🗑️🗑️

The check in app crashes repeatedly and the orders take 10-15 minutes to come out after check in. The self check outs are a miserable experience as they are hypersensitive and over scan products. If we have to self scan we should get an employee discount. The shelves are stacked too high and aisles very narrow with dozens of Walmart order pickers hardly any room to get by.
