Our dishwasher just went out. We have a busy family and I went at lunch to hopefully purchase something off the shelf. Sounds like stock of items for appliances is not kept in house in the store. There was a display model that was removed and marked on sale. I offered to buy it. Asked if the price could be lowered as it was about 80% of the price online. The sales rep agreed. When I went to check out I asked if the handle could be tightened as it was very loose. I was not able to take it home until later that night. He said he was not sure if they have tools here and told me to get an allen key and do it myself.I found that incredibly off-putting and unnecessary. I would have even accepted no as an answer but the approach of asking me for money to purchase a product from the store while also telling me I can get over there and fix it myself is just not the type of customer experience I want.I live in the same community and try to shop local, but not with that treatment from this store employee.

I bought a AOSmith water heater didn’t even last a month Lowes don’t stand behind there products that they sell cost with install $2,000. Waste of money don’t shop a Lowes there products suck and there is NO Warranty on Appliances. Stay away from this company unless you want to get ripped off.

Only takes one time to soil everything..This was so much of a nightmare that I actually don't feel like coming back again.I go to self checkout to do that exact thing. Checkout myself. But nope, the employee forced themselves on me and said they like to checkout the larger orders and wouldnt take no for an answer. They were incredibly slow and were not paying attention to the distressed plant pricing so I had to tell them myself or get charged more money.I could have checked out 100% faster and after an extremely long day with my tired wife and daughter along with myself, this was the icing on the cake to really get to me. Especially because the employee assumed I must be trying to steal? Because why else can't I checkout myself at self checkout? $300 later and I'd be better off returning it all and spending that at a competitor who will not treat me like I'm a thief or like I'm incompetent.

This Lowe’s is the best, the guy in the lock section is Amazing. The guy in the paint department knows So much he always helps me. It is nice to know your neighborhood hardware store that has a heart to help.

One of my favorite places to go for home projects, specially garden projects.I found great brick edges for the flower beds. Also vegetables and flowers to plant. There is always nice people to help you.

Honestly, I'd give 0 stars if I could. My flooring installation was awful, trying to get a hold of someone about the issues was awful and when they spoke to me about it they acted like it was no big deal. They also didn't explain these things to me before the installation. They should have known the ridge where my transition goes was going to be big, but they didn't account for that. I hored a private contractor for my kitchen floor and I should of hired him again. He did it all right and he called me and explained what he was doing before he did it and if something wasn't right then he called me and talked me through what he could do. Lowes didn't do this once and they acted like what I wanted fixed was a joke. And also, they tried to make me pay for the installers to come out again and fix the mistakes. THEIR mistakes.

Manger had a rude and VERY condescending tone with me over the phone. I explained that we had a small issue, and there was miscommunication between myself and an employee. He acted as if I was accusing his employee of wrong doing. His employee did nothing wrong, as we both agreed to something that turned out to be not right. He said some rude unnecessary things to me. They also tried to tell me that I didn’t purchase the items from them when I did. This will be my first and last time coming to Lowes.

Under the new circumstances, the staff was still very helpful and polite. The service at the paint table was second to none and the cashier was super nice as she kept the line moving. So all in all it was like any other improvement store, but this one was better organized.

The De Kalb Store delivered the wrong item and didn't realize until it was installed. They delivered a product that had been discontinued for over two years to get rid of old stock. Lowes not willing to make it right. Will never spend another dime at lowes. Store manager has not returned any of my calls

Never buy tools from them. when given wrong tool from them and try to return for the correct one. They will not honor the price of the original unit. They say they have no way to verify the price. Very bad customer service.

The people who work there are very friendly. I dislike speaking to people in public. But these guys seem to come to work with a positive attitude. Every last one of them. Which made me smile and speak back. I’ll come here if I need anything.

They didn’t have the nylon hose adapter I needed, but that’s not the issue I had here.I was missing the adapter I normally have, and needed to get a patient started (I’m a traveling dialysis tech). My coordinator told me it could be found in plumbing. When I could not find it, I asked for assistance, and the woman that helped also couldn’t find it. Perfectly fine. So she radioed someone else, and said “her husband said it was in plumbing”. Not what I said, but also not a big deal. The “man” that came to the aisle to help said “women know nothing about plumbing”. Then tried to sell me a metal piece, after being told it had to be nylon. As I was leaving, both employees started bad mouthing another customer they had an experience with earlier in the day.Gordon’s hardware was extremely helpful and got the piece I needed, in less than 5 minutes, and I was back to my patient.

I'm done with this store. I'm sick of them not having a cashier working. Not a single register open in the middle of a Saturday, only self checkout. I'll go out of my way and even spend more money to avoid your garage management decisions.

This Lowe’s location is well stocked and organized. Unfortunately, like most businesses these days they seem to be understaffed. This means it’s sometimes challenging to find an employee to find products or to answer questions. The employees are generally friendly and courteous.

I went in to pick up something my daughter ordered on line. I've never done this before so went to counter. The nice young lady there showed me where pickup orders are & also was kind enough to key in the code needed. Was very happy.

Based on my experience I will not shop at Lowe’s in general. Customer satisfaction is the lasting they are concern. With out customers they will not be around. Be aware when shopping at Lowe’s. Home Depot and Menards are better

I came into this lowes and the staff are a bunch of little kids who honestly don’t know where things are. I asked multiple people where an item was and I was sent to 3 different locations. Whoever is managing this location needs to be fired! They have the products I needed and the self checkout was a okay experience. Will come back but things need to change.

Service could be better.. had issues with correct prices when I got up to the register. Next time I'll take pictures of the prices on the shelves, since they expect you to go back and do price checks or nothing at all.The store was pretty well stocked and some pretty decent displays to see some of the products out of the boxes.

This is our DeKalb Lowe's, a good place if you know what you need and you know where it is. But if you don't, you're screwed because you'll never see nor talk to the only employee they have. If you know you need assistance, go to Menard's, someone will always help you there
