Returned the equipment early no problem.Returned the equipment with extra gas no problem. Went 3.7 miles over on a 266 mile one-way trip and this location had the nerve to charge me for that even after pocketing my extra gas worth twice that charge.

Rented 2 u boxes and had to make some pretty extreme last minute changes and the manager Amy did everything in her power to make my experience great. Including bringing the trailer to my house when the truck wouldn't support the trailer. As well as coming to pick it up in the pouring rain this morning. Thank you to Amy for making this very stressful move across country so much easier. Excellent customer service!!

I am in the middle of a cross country move, lost two pets this week in the process, and am living out of a dreaded hotel. Donisha was compassionate about my situation, and stayed calm and collected while I had a little meltdown. Donisha knows the products/services and was able to find a solution that best fit my complicated situation. She also sorted out my reservation that no one at uhaul (1800#, not the local office) wanted to assist with. I explained the situation and Donisha never got frustrated or lost her cool even tho my situation was convoluted and I was completely out of my mind. Thank you Donisha for making my day a little sweeter!

I THOUGHT I was being helped courteously and with great customer service... Until I returned the truck. I was quoted 4 days at 400 miles per day and anything over the 400 miles would cost an additional 29 cents per mile. The representative also said if we returned the truck a day earlier we would receive a refund for the cost of that days rental. I was asked to sign for my rental contract electronically and she would print my contract. She asked if I would also like a copy of my contract emailed. I took the printout with me to the truck as they were closing. When I arrived at the truck I looked at the printed paper which was NOT my contract but a coupon for one month free storage room rental. I never recieved an email of my contract either. So upon returning the trucka day early and staying under the 1200 alotted miles, was informed I was being charged a different rate that only included 100 miles per day and was being charged per mile over 100 miles per day!!! After contacting management and debating for half an hour by phone from out of state I was told since I did not have my contract that they NEVER provided me that there was nothing that would be done about this, I was not only NOT recieving my day refund but would be charged an additional 65 dollars on top of the over 400 dollars i had ALREADY PAID. Since they used my debit card (required) from my checking account and they refused to honor the verbal contract that was agreed to originally by the representative, they charged the additional amount and threw my account into overdraft for the charge as well as every other item i had being paid which costs me 36 dollars per item! So I asked the manager for another upper level management contact and was told he was the highest that you could go. So I called 1800 go UHAUL, and after 20 minutes explaining my situation to that representative he disappeared off the line for 25 additional minutes with no warning and never to return. Im emailing corporate. My suggestion... Dont do ANYTHING without first seeing paperwork with your quote and do not let them tell you it will print out AFTER you sign. If there were a zero stars option i would have selected IT.

Made an online reservation for a 20-foot truck thirty days before my move. Also reserved furniture pads and purchased a sofa cover (all online). Confirmed the reservation online the day before my move and even did the online check-in process. When I arrived at U-Haul, I was informed that the truck I had "reserved" was not there because the person who had rented it decided not to return it at the time they had agreed to return it. The interesting part of this is, the truck was supposed to be returned at exactly the same time I was supposed to receive it. Not good planning on the part of U-Haul (especially when I had made arrangements for people to be at my house at a certain time to help me load and move).Long story short is that the manager (Amy) wanted me to drive to Springfield to pick up a similar truck. I couldn't do that due to the additional time involved. This location had a 20-foot truck on their premises, but they couldn't give it to me because it was a "local only" truck. Seems to me that if you promised a customer a 20-foot truck, you need to make an exception to your rules. Anyhow, I had to go to another U-Haul dealer (south end of Decatur) to get my truck (which was only a 15-foot truck). Furthermore, they failed to give me my sofa cover (prepaid) and I had to enlist a friend to use his pickup in order to transport the items which would not fit in the smaller truck (but would have easily fit in the truck I thought I had reserved).I have emailed U-Haul about my experience and have received no response (hence this poor review). I am writing this review to let you know that you should think twice about reserving equipment from this location. If your move (or situation) is time sensitive, a hiccup like this will cost you dearly. Even with a reservation made a month in advance (and paid for), U-Haul did not seem to take their job (and business) seriously. I don't need rental trucks very often at all, but my next rental will definitely not be from U-Haul.

Was told that my auto transport trailer would be at this location on the date of my move, and then I get a call the day before my move saying that there was an issue and i now have to drive AN HOUR to springfield to pick up my trailer. Definitely never using uhaul again just to get shafted over last second because they dont keep track of their stuff.

Worked with Kevin Barringer in securing my moving boxes and furniture pads for my move. Was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in getting everything I needed, so my move would be as smooth as possible. Will definitely be coming back for all my moving needs. Also, their moving materials are cheaper than lowes .

This seems like an all-in-one stop for moving hauling and storage. You can rent vehicles and moving equipment and get free storage for a limited time. The have all sizes of units... many with climate control and interior access to keep out of the weather while loading/unloading. They demonstrated the security system with cameras and motion sensors everywhere.

Greatest Inside Self Storage. Temperature Controlled, or Temperature Stays Above 40 during cold months. Accessible 24hrs 7days a week. There is some outside storage also.Off course being Uhaul you can rent various trucks and trailers.

Someone used my husband’s cell phone number to rent a truck from here. We live on the west coast....Do they even check ID’s? The manager said she would take care of it but wasn’t going to give us any written proof?? How can I be sure we won’t be on the hook for the rental?

Rented us a dirty trailer with underinflated tires an marker lights were out. Tire went flat. Offered us $25 discount on future- get real will never rent from again! Trailers Direct in Springfield Il is cheaper!!!!!
