After 40 plus years of showing Rottweilers in obedience and rally competitions I lost my wife and her 10yo female about 2 months apart since last June. Four months later I found out about a 4 year old male Rottweiler that had been returned to the shelter. Long story short, I couldn't ask for a better companion dog. The staff was right on with their description and stated an honest evaluation of this dog. The staff made the adoption process smooth and easy and did an outstanding job of matching me with the right dog. I'll forever be in their debt

My service 🐕‍ got his rabies shot, tag, and registration done there. It was fast and the staff all made him feel special. It's also Very clean there. If I wasn't disabled I'd love to volunteer and walk, play, and spend time w the pets. They don't understand why they are there and even if you can't adopt, love is free 💗

How wonderful it was for my wife and I to go, fill out application and come home with a new addition to our family. Welcome Travis Kelsey, but will now be know as Tricky. Veterans also don't have to pay the adoption fee. Another great blessing for us. I hope all the staff and volunteers have a great Christmas

I bought my house in May 2017, first thing my girls' ask for is a dog lol. To get them used to the responsibility and to get to know the personalities before we decided on one to adopt, we started volunteering there. After meeting a 13 month old, sweet girl at a Petsmart outing in September, we volunteered to do, we decided to adopt her! It was super quick approval and the staff was so excited for us. She is now 7 years old but acts like a 7 month old lol and we celebrate her gotcha day every September. Only downside in my opinion, is the limited open public times.

It's bad when you want to get a dog but treated like a creamel cause you get a dog from there and it doesn't work out so u do like the paperwork said to do and find the dog a new place to live and cant adobit no more fun where i live at cats all through the place will not do anything about it but on the news they want u to come and get a animal if they would stop treating people like they are creamels they would get rid of some of the dog and cats yes they are some people who are mean to there pets

Got two kittens here. Very friendly staff and they let me pet the kittens for some great stress relief. If you are looking for cat or dog, please consider them. They also take donations to support their work

I took a old dog that was roaming our street. He was in bad shape. When I ask they told me that I could call to check up on him during his 7 day stay. That we would be the first in line to adopt him. They were great.

Horrible experience charging me $150 dollars for not having my rabies paperwork and for rescuing my lost dog from being hit and when they told my wife to be their at 12 or else he can get adopted out! Then they're card reader wasn't working for 155 minutes while I'm holding my dog in my hands saying you might have to go get cash. They are just a money grab organization.

I love animals so I like to visit every once in a while with treats and toys or something of the sort. Nearly every time I visit I am greeted by overly rude staff. Once I turned sixteen, I wanted to begin volunteering, as the website states you must be sixteen to volunteer alone and was treated rudely and like I was stupid because I was told I must be 18, yet it said this nowhere I could find. when I showed the lady where it said 16 she shahid it had changed due to COVID and didn’t even apologize for wasting my time. I visit brush college animal hospital often as I have become very close to the staff and their clinic animals. Today they had treated a stray they had found which had been hit by a car which was later turned over to mcac. I decided to go check on the dog and was treated very rudely, like usual. When I told her I was coming to check on the dog that was transferred from brush college, she said “and who’s asking”. I don’t understand why everyone who works here is so rude. I am done going here and encourage anyone who would like to donate their time or money anywhere, or adopt an animal don’t let it be this place. They absolutely do not deserve anything.

We adopted 'Sky' back in September. He is a black and white Siberian Husky. His name is now Gannicus. We are SO VERY thankful to everyone there as we feel so blessed! A very well maintained facility, that is very clean. The employees were welcoming and helpful.

I truly love this place. It appears so clean, and spacious, and they seem to really care about the animals they take in. I have delivered several stray kittens to them, and one, in particular, was very sick, with an upper respiratory infection, after being abandoned by his Mother. I was delighted to visit him weeks later, and discover him so much healthier, and beautiful. I was thrilled to see him get adopted. They really went the extra mile to nurse him back to health. I understand that they are not a no kill shelter, but they also do not turn any animals away. I appreciate that they make every attempt to find animals homes, or if all fails, humanely euthanize. I am a hardcore animal lover, and it breaks my heart to see any animal suffer harsh, painful deaths. I've lived in this town my entire life, and there isn't a whole lot I can find to compliment it for, but MCAC is absolutely one of our gems. It is staffed by a caring board, vet, and volunteers. I highly encourage donating whatever you may have to offer. Be it money, time, or supplies. They go above and beyond for our furry friends.

Terrible facility who kills animals and doesn’t take care of the ones they have inside. Sad and pathetic

Very nice staff and the inside of the building is very clean and the animals are clean themselves. We are going back Friday to pick up a cat to add to our family...

Two stars because the facility was clean and animals seemed well taken care of. But they also dont have good communication. You will wait three weeks out after putting in a adoption application. They alredy knew they were going to deny me but instead of letting me know right away they kept asking more questions and talking to refrences and had to give another reference. I had to continue reaching out to get updates, i had finally got call saying you were denied have good day and hung up. Seemed very rude about it and annoyed that i kept reaching out. I had to rehome my dog in past due to not having enough room for her to run or have a fenced in yard, My dog was a aussie/ heller mix so very energetic. We live on a very busy road so she would get out and chase cars so i found a home with a farmer out in the country where she now lives her best life but since i did that i am a bad person. I would not go back to this facility and never would refer family or friends.

Sorry long post but worth reading. Not a good experience. I fill out an application and on that application was asked if interested in a specific animal. I put the animals name down on the application and then waited for notice if I was approved to adopt an animal. Almost 2 days pass and i get a call about one of the questions, person said okay they pass the answer along then hung up. Another day passes so I email this place and was told they thought that I was told I was approved, this was late yesterday afternoon so I told them we would be there today to look at the dog. They said okay. So we drive 2.5 hours to the place to be told the dog was being adopted but they have many more animals??? Then they tell Chairdie they don't hold animals...... Then why ask if I was interested in a specific animal and not tell me between the phone calls and emails that they don't hold animals? So we drove all the way there so we looked at the other dogs and found one that we were interested in. So we meet the dog, no interest in us at all, was very nervous. So we asked if she could meet our boy Zeus? They said absolutely. We go outside so they can meet. Well our 7 month old puppy was very excited, for one 2.5 plus hours in the car and being around another animal which was 1.5 yrs old. So the female was very shy and nervous with Zeus energy so the young lady stares that she think it would be a good fit, and I guess this is the 2nd time this young dog has been returned to no fault of her own. So yup not good.

It's sad to see all those animals wanting a home. We got Eddie from there Tuesday 5-17-22 after we lost our budbud on 5-7-22(brain tumor/cancer on spine) he is no longer in pain. If you wanting a pet, go here. A lot of happy smiling faces....

We adopted a little kitten Tuesday after having to put our cat down. It's always hard when you have to do that. They are very nice to you when you lose a pet or when you adopt one.

Ok put an application for a cat and waited almost a week to hear back. Then called them and the lady acted like she didn't want deal with me said I had 7 cats in the home where I previously lived that was not true. Then asked what happened to the kittens I told them they were given away and told I was not eligible to adopt a cat. What a facility....

Beautiful facility! Went to visit with the cats (and kittens). I was so impressed with the cleanliness and environmental enrichment provided in all the rooms. The cats seemed very content and well-cared for. Keep up the good work! You are making a difference in the lives of these precious animals. ❤

The staff has always been kind with my bf and I visiting weekly just to play with the cats. Then, when we eventually adopted, the process was smooth and everyone was kind and helpful. Not to mention, the prices were totally reasonable and the pets we have adopted are so sweet, socialized, and affectionate.

Our experience was absolutely horrible.. We had to surrender our fur babies due to financial issues. We got a call two days later telling us they Couldnt put our littles up for adoption due to them being scared and that we could come get them or they was putting them to sleep.. When we got there to pick them up my baby had a big chunk taken out of his nose. And was terrified..
