Your manager Kristi should be fired. We go there at 7 pm on a Friday night and all gallon milk is empty in the coolers and it’s clearly visible in the back. I look for a store associate to go grab some for me and the first one I find apparently works at the service desk. I ask her if she can run to the back and get some for me, to which she replies “I have a customer”. I tell her I am a customer, but she walks off. I ask her to call a manager then. So we go back to wait at the milk coolers and about 10 minutes later the manager Kristi walks back with another employee and says “Yeah, there’s some guy back here for milk that was yelling at the customer service desk”. First off Kristi, I never yelled at anyone until you made your rude remarks. Your customer service skills are nonexistent Kristi, and whoever the girl was at the service desk lacks them as well.P.S.I don’t know if I spelled your name right when I called corporate either, but they’ll figure it out. Thanks to them for the $30 store credit. We’ll be sure to use it at the other Kroger store.

In my opinion, Kroger is the best place to shop for groceries. Lots of sales, coupons, & even a freebie now & then. You get points for shopping there, which turn into money off your gas expenses (up to a dollar off each gallon). They've been super helpful with prices in this recession/inflation. Most employees are excellent, and they will always make it right!

Bought 100 pieces of fried chicken from Kroger's. It's hard to get 100 pieces of anything done correctly but these guys did a great job. Chicken was some of the best chicken I ever had. Thank you.

MOST of the employees here are fairly nice, especially the older man who brings in the carts. He is always cheerful, and pleasant. There is one, however, who works self checkout. A Caucasian woman with 2 toned hair that is extremely rude, & needs an attitude adjustment. I've witnessed her being obnoxiously rude to several customers who try & do business at the customer service counter, including my husband. No excuse for it. Especially as many times as I've been in there, and overheard it. I like that the store is not overly busy during the hours that I tend to shop there, but it's not my favorite because it is quite small, and cramped. Just a few customers can clutter the traffic flow.

Worst Krogers in town as far as keeping the shelves stocked up and the dairy department is a absolute joke, I guess they everything in the cooler in the back..

Kroger is a nicer grocery store other places. This one hasn't had any updates in 20 years, the rusted carts are difficult to use, the aisles are so close together, you cannot access many items if you use a wheelchair due to the thin walking space. The employees are rude, and not normal Midwestern rude (I'm a southerner, do I have high expectations in customer service) but unhappy, unkind, and bothered by your existence in their store. The parking lot is too small for a grocery store, along with the other businesses in the shopping center, which makes the parking lot a dangerous place. Also, prices are higher than most other grocery stores.

Visit this store on 6/6/23 Gloria in self check out need a attitude adjustment or training on proper customer service. The way she talked to two older gentlemen about having proper idea for alcohol was uncalled for, the gentlemen was not nasty in no type of way but she was very disrespectful and nasty to them.😒 I myself would of talked to a manager because this is not the 1st time I’ve witnessed her being rude to customers.

Worst service I’ve received in my life. Tried to return an item and “the person who does that is on lunch.” I guess only one person knows how to do returns. I asked for a manager and was told they don’t know how to do returns either. I then called the store to speak with a manager and was told there is no manager there so I guess at this Kroger they supervise themselves and no one is in charge. Needless to say I WILL NOT be returning to this Kroger if I ever return to Kroger again.

Went in today and they had a cooler with cold bottles of water as you walked in. They were free! Heat index outside is like 105 right now. Thought this was nice of them to do. Always have liked this store. Great employee's working there.

Wow such a lot of hate for such a great store! Brilliant staff, great prices and convenient. Some people are just sad inside and like to complain a lot. Ignore the bad reviews. This is a great store. Never had a bad experience.

There is a cashier there that is so rude, today in the u scan a woman didnt see that it said card only, she turned to the cashier and ask and the cashier responded very condescending to her, "yeah that's why there is signs up" then the woman asked if any of the cashiers was excepting cash and she flat out lied and said no. I hate dealing with woman she cant hardly walk and if she has to help you in way she leans on the u scan and is always rude and treats people as if the were stupid. I tru to avoid her.

I have been visiting this Kroger regularly and the staff isn't very friendly. The store is always busy and prices are ok but now great. This place definitely needs to learn customer experience.

Almost every time I go I to pay a bill the desk to do it at is closed when it should be open. I would understand if it was every once in a while if someone calls in or something like that but it is way to often they might as well block that area off as to not mislead people to think something might actually serve Its purpose.

Management staff is worthless. Completely. Zero customer service. Zero care. I got myself in a pickle and management could have helped or at least tried instead of shrugging and saying they can’t.Long story short I needed a prescription. I failed to learn that the pharmacy closes at 6. I got there at 6:30. I talk to the manager to see if there’s any way he could assist. Maybe call another Kroger in another time zone? Maybe be able to transfer the prescription in some way. At least try, or at least pretend to care.Instead he just shrugged and said no way to help. I’ve been in a situation like his before - and that is just an awful way to handle it. He even said like it was a matter of fact there is no Kroger in the pacific time zone. I know that to be a lie.I called one out west, they offered to help but since it was to be transferred to a Walgreens they said I’m better off calling an on call doctor. So I did and got my script I needed. No thanks to the guy that doesn’t care.

A “manager”named Jamie works at this store (Kroger on 1st St. South Shores in Decatur, IL) and is just absolutely the worst at making any type of effort towards customer service. Neither is her manager Adam, I believe his name is. He also was just acting in a shocking manner over the phone towards me when I first decided to report an incident. The world is in a scary place right now. EVERYONE is feeling the effects of that, but I have worked in various departments of retail for over 6 YEARS! I have never seen a person that is supposed to have a title of management and act appropriately actually end up treating me and my family like criminals. My husband has been shopping at this Kroger for over 20 years. This employee decided to get violent and GRAB THINGS from his hands AS HE WAS CHECKING OUT and proceed to slap his hands out of the way while in the process of exiting the store that she was forcing him to leave because while wearing his sweatshirt as a mask WAS PERFECTLY FINE FOR HIM TO WALK THROUGH THE WHOLE STORE , PAST 5 OTHER EMPLOYEES, and START SCANNING THE 4 items he got. This “lady” came up and decided he needed to leave, RIGHT THEN. Started to take things from him and told him he needed to leave. He didn’t not understand. Rightfully so, he was going to be leaving the store anyway, why not let him leave the store with what he had already touched and made it through the store with anyway? Exactly. He was harming no one and not at all trying to disobey laws or make an exception of himself. He was GOING TO MAKE DINNER FOR HIS FAMILY! So she proceeds to follow him out as he is discussing the situation with her and how he feels it doesn’t make sense to him and she is just SPEWING OUT NONSENSE that he is never allowed back and she will be calling the police. Called and lied to the police saying he was blocking customers from coming in (he was exiting as she was still yelling at him and he was even “excuse me” “pardon me” to every person passing him so that parts funny) and even told the police he was going to try and steal the things she wouldn’t let him have. That is nonsense. It was hot dogs and hamburger meat, that he was already in the process of paying for. How should she be allowed to go to those length. This little power trip she was on makes you guys look disgusting. I even had to go back in to pick up those items that we needed for dinner CONSIDERING MY HUSBAND WASN'T ALLOWED IN. I finished my shopping and got into an empt aisle before I went to check out, I started to adjust my mask and catch a breath and before I even exited the aisle as I was repositioning my mask THERE SHE WAS. Coming to verbally attack me, I say “I’m doing it, it’s on, just relax.“ So she then stops in her tracks and says YOU CAN LEAVE RIGHT NOW YOU KNOW. I told her I was already leaving and walked away from her. This is not right! I don’t even know this lady. And I’m sure she had no idea who exactly my husband is but IS SHE TREATING EVERYONE LIKE THIS? I have been trying to make myself understand why she possibly would have been allowed for act like this or why her manager that we were able to get ahold of decided not to listen to A WORD of what the complaint was and just said he wasn’t allowed back in the store. That’s just ridiculous to me. We spend a lot of money at that store, to also have this happening during an already very scary and difficult time in the world I can’t even go to my neighborhood store without being smarted off to by some employee and having her become physical with my husband.

This is a longer than normal situation. When I entered the store and found the restrooms, 2 staff members were talking for over 5 minutes like I didn't exist. Then one of them made a rude comment "about this guy. " Then when my family members were done shopping and ready to pay, no cashier knew how to use the online Kroger gift card, BUT as my wife read the instructions from her phone, the young clerk tried again using those instructions and it worked perfectly.SO, CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SUCCESSFUL CASHIER.2 constructive recommendations: keep your bathroom floors from being slippery as I almost fell in a locked room, and if you insist on using those triangular row labels, make the text as big as the bathroom signs. Not everyone has perfect vision!

This is such a poor representation of the Kroger Grocery store chain. I was there in Friday, Aug 20, 2021 about 8:00 a.m. during senior hours. While a message on the entrance doors clearly stated that masks were STRONGLY encouraged and most shoppers had a mask on, NONE of the associates, checkers, stockers, NO employees were wearing masks! NOT ONE ! I only needed a few things but found several shelves completely empty. No bacon, no lunchables, frozen foods were very limited, many more items not available. Looked like several carts were waiting to be unloaded, but nothing was getting done. Very frustrating as this is the ONLY grocery store south of the lake. I am sure, if a senior executive from Kroger showed up unannounced, this store would be closed down. We, on the south end of town deserve better than this and should not have to drive to more affluent areas, such as north end of town which services Forsyth or to Mt Zion. What an embarrassment to the Kroger chain

It would have been a lot better if it had not been raining. People tend to run for it when it's a very cold rain like that. I saw 2 people almost get hit by a car, there was almost 2 accidents and a pedestrian walked right into a pedestrian sign. Now that was funny. People need to slow down and observe what's going on around them. Some people want to act like you aren't even there when you greet them, OK rejections tough but the one's that do give make up the difference. I made a commitment here and I will see that through even when I get ignored.

I visited the first drive Kroger location this afternoon and was very disappointed and upset. I've been a Kroger customer for years because they treat you like family. Today was different. I had WIC coupons to use and got all the normal items with them. I placed everything by coupon on the belt to get rang up. The employees switched out to ring me up on the WIC. When it got to a cetrain item unknown to me that was no longer an offered brand the cashier made a scene over it. I explained to cashier that it was the usual brand that I was able to purchase with my coupons and inquired as to when it had changed. She looked me and said she didn't know when it change but it did. She was loud about the whole process and explained I couldn't have that brand but also couldn't tell me which brand was allowed. At this point I'm really embarrassed by her reaction and tell her if she won't inform me on the correct brand I will just go back to isle and look again for the right one. Keep in mind she never offered to help but seemed content on embarrassing me for using my coupons. After returning to the isle there are no brands marked WIC so I am stumped as to which brand to get. I return to the front and inform her that none of the product tags are marked WIC like they are supposed to be. She pushes my items aside and continues to ring up other customers. I'm ashamed to say I started to cry. I've never felt so mistreated in all my life. I literally had to stand up front and wait to be rang up as everyone is staring at me. All this because I happened to grab the wrong brand. Why is it okay to shame a Mom for doing what she needs to do to take care of her kids? Finally, Bre the cashier collected my things and rang me up on a different checkout. She was pleasant and wanted to help. I just have to ask why was all this necessary? Why couldn't I have been treated like a person instead of trash?

Worst pharmacy in town. Filled my prescription online on Tuesday, came by Wednesday to pick it up and was told it would be 20 more minutes. I live out of town and needed to get my kids picked up and home so I left. Came back on Thursday and was told they are still working on it and it would take 10 minutes. This used to be a great pharmacy but the new faces behind the counter are not keeping up the standards that the previous employees had set. I will be changing pharmacies permanently after this. This review is intended for the south shores store.

The staff are rude. The prices are not competitive. Most items you will pay $.50 to $1.00 more than the same item at Walmart.

Kroger should not have shut down fairview. South shores is nice, but they will be flooded with people in a much tighter shopping area. Common items were not on the shelf. Sure this will chamge once they adjust to the other store closing
