This is a newer remodel Hampton, and the rooms and the public areas are in good shape, and more importantly clean. The rooms are standard Hampton rooms, so some of the complaints in other reviews seem weird or like they're from someone who hasn't stayed at a Hampton Inn recently. The staff was great, and the breakfast was fairly standard. All in all, a good hotel that I'd happily stay at again.

We had a comfortable stay at the Hampton Inn. We had forgotten a phone charger and there was a Walmart within walking distance from the hotel. The rooms were comfortable for a family of 4. And there were plenty of pillows which were GREAT ! The breakfast options were just OK. There is no flavored coffee creamer offered. I think that was the biggest disappointment. The bathroom was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable . Overall, I definitely recommend this hotel.Safety: The parking lot was spacious, and I felt safe in the area.Walkability: There were plenty of things within walking distance. We ate at the pizza place across the street, and it was amazing.

The building is very up to date . Excellent pool and the staff is awesome . The downfalls are that the bathroom door is a sliding door with out a lock. They do not provide any type of mouthwash or toothpaste . The breakfast was nice but the sausage was very odd tasting . The room was not very clean either. There was toe nail clippings on the bathroom floor and very dusty . The bed was soft

We booked over the Christmas holiday and stayed here because they are pet friendly. The room was exceptionally clean and they accommodated our request to be on a lower floor and near an exit, so we had easy access to take our dog out. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the woman working over the breakfast area was very friendly. The location is great, because it's buffered, being surrounded by trees, while still being within hundreds of feet to restaurants, gas stations, and a Wal-Mart.Rooms: Clean, well furnished, and stocked with useful small appliances.Nearby activities: Close to Wal-Mart, fast-food and sit down restaurants, and gas stations.Safety: Well lit with sidewalks and what seemed to be safe surroundings.Walkability: Access to sidewalks and a low-traffic side road. to shops, food, and gas stations.

The microwave didn't work, the refrigerator didn't work, there was no dresser and only 6 hangers, everytime I went to the pool there were no towels. There dirt all over the stairwell hallways and the staff was not accommodating at all they seemed nice but pushy and when I walked to the desk there were no employees at the desk but they were in the office discussing another employees drug problem, I had my kids with me and they had questions I didn't think I'd have to answer at a hotel. Maybe a motel but not a hotel

The hotel was clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was responsive. The waffles were some of the best I have had.We had a couple issues with our kids, where one was sick and soiled the sheets, and another flooded the bathroom from the shower. They were quick to get us a ton of extra towels and mop up the water, and Angel went above and beyond to clean our room, get rid of the soiled sheets (yuck!), and sprayed Febreze so our room was clean and smelling fresh. Angel did all this with a wonderful smile and pleasant attitude.She's a rockstar!

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Decatur Mt. Zion for a family funeral. I chose this hotel because it is a Hilton brand, and I have generally had good experiences with Hilton hotels in the past.The room was clean and comfortable, but there were a few things that could have been improved. First, the wall behind the trashcan had been splashed with food and not wiped clean. Second, the refrigerator was full of dirty liquid. I wanted to call the front desk to let them know about these issues, but I couldn't get through because our phone was not connected to anything. It appeared someone had removed all the wires connected to the phones.I went down to the front desk in person, but there were no workers to be found. I stood around for a while, and eventually a worker came out while texting and laughing on her personal cell phone. She hardly even looked up from her phone while talking to me.She then YELLED for a maintenance worker to fix the phone. He however was very helpful and nice.The continental breakfast was clean and the food was good. The pool is small but fine for kids to play in.When it was time to check out, there was no bill and nothing to sign. Apparently, their systems had been down all month due to a storm, and the computers did not work at all. This was a bit concerning to me, as it meant that there was no record of my stay.Overall, I was disappointed with my stay at the Hampton Inn Decatur Mt. Zion. The room was not as clean as I expected, and the staff was not very helpful. However, the continental breakfast was good, and the pool is a nice amenity.I would not recommend this hotel to others, but if you do choose to stay here, be prepared for some problems.Rooms: The room was clean and comfortable, but there were a few things that could have been improved. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids. The room (2 queen beds) felt very spacious. The hotel is still fairly new construction and has modern decor. Friendly staff. Conveniently located on the main road in Mt. Zion, next to Walmart and many restaurants. Easy to find. Pool area is a bit small, but still decent sized.Nearby activities: The zoo & children's museum is less than 10 minutes away. The movie theater is across the road, about a 2-minute drive. Nearby shopping in Walmart plaza.Walkability: There are several stores within walking distance, but the roads nearby are busy, so it's a bit hazardous to go too far.Food & drinks: Culver's, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Arby's, Sonic, Jimmy John's, DQ, Monical’s Pizza, Steak 'n Shake, a BBQ place, Charro Mexican restaurant, and more are a quick drive from the hotel (less than 5 minutes). There are lots more restaurants even within about 10 minutes.

This is a great hotel. My family members stayed here for our family reunion. The hotel needs new computer techs because they have been without the internet for 6 weeks, so the billing for rooms are done by paper. The hotel was struck by lightning at the end of June. Still no internet on the first week of August. 5 stars 🌟 for the front desk employees for working the old school way. 🚜 Farm Progress Show is coming to town at the end of August. They had better have it fixed by then. It should not take that long to fix that problem. In today's society, you can't do busy without computers.

The check-in and out was very simple. Breakfast was hot and well stocked. Eating area was clean and ample. The room was clean. The location is close to everything you would need. The pool area was clean. I actually wanted to give this hotel 4 stars because my visit was less than good, but I believe my complaints were related to the fact that lightening struck it 2 weeks prior and it had not been fully repaired. There is excellent staff, which makes a big difference. My room was clean and bed was comfortable. The shower was hot water and good pressure. But the internet was in and out constantly and interferred with working remotely at my computer. During the day, while working at the desk in the room, it was very hot and stuffy, the thermostat would reset itself to 77 degrees. When I would try to get it to turn on, it would run for about 1 min and turn off. When I called the front desk, they said they thought it was an eco friendly setting and recommended I stay moving around the room so that it detects my movement and stays on. First, that's ridiculous... 2nd) I need to get work done and can't jump up every minute... 3rd) I think the "room" didn't know I was in it because their system was down and they were doing manual check in/out of guests. I'm just thankful that the AC did work at night. My card was demagnetized 3 times in 2 nights stay. The back entrance by pool doesn't recognize your card at all. The elevators were slow. There must of been an entire kindergarten class worth of children high on sugar staying above me because the ceiling sounded like it was going to crash in. Their exterior sound system in back patio area was loud enough that I could hear the drums from the music at all hours but at least it wasn't that loud, just muffled drums. Also, don't know why but I tried to call the hotel directly a week before and also a few days before my trip to book and it just rang endlessly, no VM. I confirmed the # matched the one on Google and the Hilton website. Had to book online.I would stay again though. The staff were great!

When we made our reservation we tried to book 2 connected rooms but they said they couldn't promise us anything but would see if there were any available upon our arrival. When we arrived they were able to put us in connected rooms. Before we even settled in we noticed a smell coming from one of the bathrooms that ended up being a dirty toilet that was backed up and wouldn't flush. The toilet in the connected room was backed up as well. Whoever cleaned that room would have to have noticed this, right?Maintenance was able to clear one of them but not the other. Fortunately they had another set of connected rooms available and we were able to relocate. Overall the hotel seems to be maintained very well. The rooms are very clean and the staff are very polite and accomodating. There's no bar or restaurant in the hotel but there are several places to grab a bite to eat within walking distance of the hotel. There's also free hot breakfast. The only downside is the bathrooms have a sliding door that doesn't lock. Not a huge deal unless you're trying to watch tv while someone is in the shower. No sound dampening at all.

I stayed here for a week, and had no issues. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were nicely remodeled/modern and nice for remote work, and for the price everything was great. I was a little disappointed that the bathroom had a lot of hair from the previous guest all over it, so that's the reason I gave a 4 star and a 5.

An absolute godsend. I checked in on October 23rd, 2022, and stayed until October 27th. The woman who checked me in was welcoming and informative, the room was incredibly clean, and I felt an overwhelming sense of peace just being here. This location is one of the best Hampton Inns I've stayed at. They even had sulfate free shampoo in the shower, which I thought was a nice touch! Checking in and out was a breeze, and it was a great environment to come back to after a long day of work.

If I could give no stars I would. The management staff is completely unprofessional. My wife and I called a few weeks ago to block off rooms for our wedding reception. We got all the information we needed and spoke with them about the date and gave them all the information they needed and said they would send everything off to their manager and assured us everything was good to go. Weeks went by and we heard nothing. We called today and they said they had no record of our call and our information. The representative we spoke with was extremely unprofessional and rude and said they would not honor the booking price and would charge our guests roughly double the price if we wanted to proceed. We called the 800 number and they informed us they could in fact honor the price if they wanted to but the manager at this location didn’t want to because of the double rates they would charge us. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to the absolutely poor management and customer service.

They don't tell you no HK until you learn it yourself that they only do HK every 4th day or at check out. I stayed 3 days.Even picking up towels etc. They didn't have wash cloths(told in dryer..come back in 30.minutes)...so, we had to make 2nd trip as they don't deliver.Breakfast was limited and awful.Obvious staffing shortages as HK staff manned breakfast.Evening desk clerk was beyond rude.Worst experience of any Hampton Inn EVER.OVERHEARD other guests complaining.SUGGESTION: If you are only going clean every 4 days...Get BIGGER AND MORE TRASH CANS!!!!Do NOT stay here!!!!

The hotel looked nice and clean. We found 3 raisens, 2 French fries, and a plastic cup lid on our floor by my bed but beyond that the rooms looked nice, beds were comfy, and the room was spacious. They had a nice breakfast both mornings that we stayed and the staff was friendly. The downside is we were charged $50. When my mother called to find out what the charge was for, she was told a pillow was missing. I'm not sure where the pillow is because we surely don't have it. I'll be taking pictures of the rooms state before checking out from now on so I'll at least have some type of proof in case something like this happens again.

Very clean room, 2 covers over the mattress, ac worked good, could not close dark curtains all the way, only the see through curtain can be closed fully.Walkability: Many different food establishments like Arby's, Jimmy John's, BBQ restaurant, Aldi all with in 5-10 minutes. Great location where hotel was down a side road out of the way in a safe place. Will definitely go back if in area. This experience caused me to want to go back.

The hotel was clean and spacious. The layout of the king room was also very nice. The staff here were very polite and truly worked as a team. Especially the breakfast. The woman in charge was a delight to interact with each morning. The location is also very close to many restaurants and stores. I highly suggest ordering pizza from Monicals across the street!
