The checkout people are always so nice but the store is always so dirty looking and in a state of chaos. The front door has been broken forever and now has a board in it. Don't know if landlord is responsible or store. Floors are never clean...I love Dollar General but sure would like a cleaner one in my shopping area. Sorry!

Easy to find items, and they always have disinfectant spray. They keep people from hording it by keeping it up front. The cashier is friendly. Good parking.

I walked into Dollar General tonight and asked where the cold medicine was. The worker who went by cherrie was a little curt as she directed me to the aisle. After getting my items and returning to the front checkout, cherrie was no where to be found. I waited for 5 minutes and then began looking in the store for cherrie. I saw she was just looking at products on the shelf rather than staying at the front of the store. Especially, when there is only 1 night worker present, a person could easily have walked out with products without paying. Well, when she saw I was looking for her, she came to the front. I commented that I thought she had left. I don’t mind waiting, but when a worker is curt/rude from start to finish and not doing their job, it a little inconvenient. She didn’t bother to apologize. Apparently, this also happened to one of my family members. They and a gentleman waited for a while as this same employee, cherrie, was no where to be found. I mentioned that a bell would be nice to have up at the front of the store so the customer can communicate to the worker when a customer is at the check out. Cherrie needs to learn to do her job and exercise good personal relations.

There was lots of variety of everything, but they only had one checkout clerk and at least 12 people were in line! Another clerk must have been on break. By the time we checked out, the other clerk had opened a register. We almost didn't buy anything due to the long line.

This is one of my favorite DGs in Decatur. It has a great clothing selection that you can regularly find good discounts on.

It's hard to get help here. The customer service is terrible, even from the managers . It's worth the time to drive an extra few miles and go to a different one.
