I thought this place was great, until a couple of days ago. I helped a buddy move and he decided to donate some things. My humble opinion the condition of the things he decided to donate were past donation quality. However I found it very unnecessary to be yelled at, videos of my car and plates, accused of dumping, and police to be called. I’ve shopped at this place on a number occasions. And I’ve recommended plenty shoppers to this place. I’ll never shop or send anyone to this place again. I couldn’t believe what I experienced. If you are a person of color tread lightly with this place and the people working there.Response: I definitely understand your frustration with what you have been dealing with, I can imagine dumping has been a big issue. Especially the area your store is located. I will correct you, it wasn’t a dump as you call it. I went along with it because it’s not my place to shoot down my friend who thought of doing something decent. I did my job as a friend by helping another friend. And not every thing in that uhaul was being donated. No questions were asked. We knew staff was there. We saw them. Why didnt anyone come and greet us and tell us that donation hours were over or that they didnt want the stuff being donated? Instead we get yelling, camera phones and what not. Totally unnecessary, especially considering the fact that we moved the stuff back to the uhaul when we sensed that we weren’t welcome. We had every intention of coming in and consulting someone once we were done unloading. It didn’t have to go down like that. Your staff was out of line. And very rude. The plates on my car is personal information. And i don’t take too kindly of another individual having my personal information in their personal phone for no reason. As a retail worker myself I can honestly say that was the worst customer service and your staff needs to do better. You all are supposed to be people of God, That was a very poor example. It isn’t right to assume the worst of people and treat them like were treated. We have no choice but to feel like it was race issue after that experience. There’s no excuse for that behavior.

I've stopped buying new clothes because of this shop. Found brand-new Calvin Klein dress pants for $2. I come by once a week and leave with things I didn't see last time. The store is clean and inviting. Checkout is so nice. They've even got a loyalty program. Thanks so much for what you do!!!

I love the new look. Shopping is so organized and easy. Every day they have discounts of 75% and 50%, in addition to a new digital loyalty card. The shelves are full making it easy to find just that right thing (s). They are doing a great job supporting the women and children through God's Shelter of Love.

This resale shop and its sister store near Wood & Monroe are 2 of the best kept secrets in Decatur. Now that I live in Decatur again, I am here weekly. Decatur has so many great options for resale shops. A recent jaunt to Peoria in October where there were essentially ZERO resale shops made me really glad Decatur is so blessed with these types of stores.This resale shop has affordable prices and the staff is very helpful. I highly recommend it.

I've been working at Blessingdales's a little over a month now. I have lost count of the number of people that have told me how much they like the new look of the store. I, personally, had never seen such a well organized, clean and fairly priced thrift store before joining the team. The manager, Carol Ann, has done an amazing job transforming the store. She has allowed me to implement new ideas in the linens department. It is still a work in progress. 😊 Come out and see the store for yourself. It is a great place to shop and work.

Everything here is pretty dated but the prices are reasonable and the store is well organized. Found a huge stuffed dinosaur for $12 and a big bag of colored blocks for $1.99. This little guy loved them 💚

Blessingdales is a wonderful store to shop and volunteer at! It is a fun environment with such kind staff. Their mission to support woman and children experiencing homelessness and they go above and beyond to meet the needs of the community.

OVERPRICED! ☹️I went the last week to find some good stuffs and i saw some clothes and they are too overpriced for the condition. I saw Hunter boots and the price was $150! Also I saw a router and the price was $80!You should lower the prices because is in an University area.Smell bad and the place is not clean to charge high for used items.Really overpriced I had a good feeling about this store but they need to lower the prices. 🙏🏻

Love this store. Like one reviewer said, they do have some overpriced items, but almost everything else is an incredible deal. I got a mug the other day for 12 cents because it was half off a quarter!

This used to be my favorite thrift store, now they are marking their prices like a boutique! On donated items!! Sad to see this happening, I’ll spend my money somewhere else

I put together an amazing winter- wardrobe ensemble consisting of 3 pants, 9 ties, 5 shirts and 2 sweaters. They all intermix and they look fantastic. Thank you Blessingdale's! For 200 nope wasn't 200 , it was $29.95 out the door!

We were there today. The whole shop has changed. They have gone from a Resale shop to an upscale shop, nothing I am interested in. Too many displays not for sale, not enough down to earth stuff resalers want. Very disappointing.

Pricing was unclear once you checkout, nice enough staff yet I found the wishy-washy, pick and choose this or that to be higher and higher...my advice when thrifting here is to limit your purchase to one or two items to avoid overcharging. This isnt the only place to find designer duds, and pricing isnt competitive with more in-style, current retail. Been here several times, yet to find any real gems. if old navy, gap, and other plain jane fare is what you seek its okay for basic things. Pricing $1.00 to $30.00, i'd range this on the higher priced end, being presented quite well to impress upon shoppers their $5 old navy tank still has a 3/4 retail value after its used and hung up nicely. Bathroom use is also confusing, since its said there are no public restrooms yet if you're approved by staff you're allowed...I find that absurd. Catchy name. They offer a frequent shopper discount after you spend $100. 1 punch for each $10 spent after ten punches you recieve 25% off your checkout with a full card. Mostly clothing with a full Christmas room, kids clothes, some household, some nwt oldstock retail shoes, dresses, and such. Separate and high priced event dresses, wedding drsses, gowns etc. Pricing on that varied from $50 to $150, limited sizes. Kinda struck me as a small person boutique, lol. Low stars due to the sketchy pricing, overcharging.

One of my preferred thrift stores in town, wide selection and a great staff, the men's clothing is a little hit or miss most of the time, but they have a designer section that usually has some gems in it for a steal. Great for kitchen wear and nicknacks.

The associates are friendly and very helpful! I have found clothing, bedding, even original art. I love this store!
