Adopted our Didi from them over 3 years ago! She's been a wonderful girl. However, I just recently sent them a donation via PayPal, with absolutely no response. Called and asked if they received it. No response. Wonder if they are still open?

I got denied an animal for fixing my application they real sneaky for saying they have the right to deny you for any reason !! If you accidentally miss spell or even look at the application wrong when using your phone be prepared to be banned for life I’m so upset because I really wanted my first time experience in adopting a cat to be as easy as it is for everyone else !, I got scolded for asking a dang question about a feline as well! (Please respect our policy) ? All I did was ask a question about an animal ! I could have anyone go and adopt for me since it’s so hard to adopt a freaking animal you took off the streets !not to mention the false accusation of me being at a vet clinic I’ve never been to had me call the whole Danville for NOTHING. Because I never been to no vet here ! Now all of a sudden the animal I wanted so bad is gone ? I’m very sad about this! Do better !

Staff is friendly, adoption process is smooth as butter. Once you fill out an adoption application you are invited back for a private tour and viewing of the shelter where you will meet your B.F.F. (Best Furry Friend). There is no public viewing of the animals in order to maintain a peaceful pet environment for those seriously considering pet adoption.

Visited the thrift store for first time ever. Was blessed & oh so happy to find many great items of clothing, my fave is a burgundy swede jacket that was only $3!!! Prices are ridiculously cheap, jeans $2, sweaters $3, winter coats $5. They have housewares, curtains, dishes, adult & kids clothes too of course, some really nice formal/semi-formal dresses (just in time for those Christmas parties) It is truly a non-profit organization unlike some other more commonly known thrift stores!!! The proceeds benefit the humane society. I've told all my friends.

I live in CO now, but was back in Danville last week for a family funeral. I took a lost or more likely abandoned puppy (that I found) in last week, and was reassured, by the actions of the staff, of pure Love for the sweet animal in this no kill shelter. I went to check on the welfare of the puppy the next day and the puppy was now clean and oh so well taken care of. Thank you Danville Humane Society. Conny Gruelle McClintock
