It looked super cute from the outside, I usually love little home restraunts but honestly this one was sad and gross, the wall paper was dirty and stained, the chairs were tiny and uncomfortable, obviously very dated. I had the chicken salad croissant and the carmel apple salad. Great presentation, sadly it went downhill from there, the chicken salad tasted mass produced like mayonnaise and celery, nothing else. The caramel apple salad wasn't very caramel, seemed to be whipped cream, honey roasted peanuts and apples. It's too bad, I've heard such great things.

Really good! I popped in for coffee, but saw the menu and smelled the food! I put in a couple of to-go orders for Italian beef sandwiches. No MSG, made on site--they were delicious! I would return to try more of the menu.

Great sandwiches. Chicken salad on croissant is my fav. Great pie, especially their key lime and coconut cream. Italian beef good and enjoyed their lobster bisque soup when they have that. Love the inside and all the antiques upstairs.

Flew in from New Hampshire and was looking for something unique. I googled “places to get sandwiches” and Charolette’s came up! I had a turkey sandwich and broccoli and cheddar soup, my mother in law had Italian beef (which you could smell right when you walk through the door) and tomato soup. Both were absolutely delicious! The staff were friendly, the prices were fair, and even though the place was packed we were treated like we were the only ones there. I’d give it more stars if I could! Oh and did I mention they have a drive through? How cool is that! Definitely check out the gift shop next door too, we got some candies there that were the perfect little dessert.

I like chicken salad on a croissant, and the broccoli cheddar soup. That’s pretty much all I get. I like getting tea with flavoring (although they usually put way too much syrup). The desserts are very tasty. The breakfast I got once was horrible, however. If I could rate 3 1/2 stars that’d be more accurate. Not a huge fan of the customer service, either. I’d say I only go a couple of times a year.

The food is delicious, albiet it's expensive for the amount that you get.I haven't had the coffee but I'm very big on tea. Their teas are delicious and fragrant and brewed fresh with your own personal teapot. The tea cups are prewarmed, and it really makes the experience enjoyable. It makes me want to eat here despite the price and smaller amount of food.The atmosphere is nice, relaxed, and enjoyable as most others said. I do have to mention something though: The behavior of some staff has isolated me and can be hurtful, I've noticed. The restaurant has a more mature staff. They seem to be nicer and more agreeable to their mature demographic. I'm just of college-student age and my friend and I like to frequent this restaurant often for the food and good tea. It's a great place to chat. He likes to tell me about his business ventures and I like to tell him of my future travel plans. We are pleasant and unassuming customers and the wait staff usually love us. However, I have been treated somewhat disdainfully on more than one occasion. I don't know if it's the color of my skin or my age or my gender or maybe the whole package. I don't cause trouble and I don't bother anybody, and I still feel like some of the staff members in the restaurant are disdainful to me. It's very off-putting. This restaurant would get 5 stars if this didn't happen multiple times. (I figure once or twice, maybe that person had a bad day, maybe they're under some stress or pressure. But for it to happen multiple times to me when the staff is still willing to be overly polite and friendly to the rest of the customers is just isolating and a little strange. These occurrences aren't coincidental.)I would recommend this place to others as a nice restaurant with delicious food (albiet pricey) and a cozy atmosphere, however I warn all people of my age group about this disdain. I usually try to say positive things about anybody or anything because it makes the world and your life a better place; However, I'm sorry - I cannot condone this behavior so I had to write this review so that others will know.

This place has stood the test of time. Homemade pie, cobblers, cakes, cookies,scones. Fresh salads, fresh soup made daily, sandwiches, and fancy iced teas and coffees. Friendly faces too!

Good breakfast. Belgium waffles and biscuits and gravy. Must try the soups, broccoli cheese being my favorite! Love the turkey sandwiches which you pick the bread and the toppings. Italian beef and taco salads are a good choice as well as one of the daily specials.

Lunch at Charlotte's with two friends. We each enjoyed our entree very much. Not so much that holy cow dessert kind of overly sweet and gooey. I think they should lose that recipe.

I've given this place several chances and each time, I was given terrible and rushed service. Their food is average. It is a charming building, so it's a shame they don't have friendlier staff.
