I got my axolotle here. They are absolutely fantastic. They're super friendly and helpful. My pet is thriving and is absolutely gorgeous. His name is Axel Rose! (Assuming he's a male) He has been at my house for only three days and is already super playful when I put my hand in the tank!!! He loves both me and my wife a ton already. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase, which was thirty percent off everything (entire tank, setup, food, etc.) and extremely cheap for what you would typically pay at large pet stores.

Great people and always a good selection. We have been going here for probably 10-15yrs for everything from crickets to iguanas. We have had dozens of exotics and reptiles over the years and I finally decided we needed another one. Went in to “look” and literally walked out with everything ready to go, including the lizard! The only complaint I have is I’m terrible at making decisions and they had to many options! (Kidding that’s a good thing)

This pet shop has an amazing variety of pets! I specifically went there for fish and was extremely impressed with the man who helped me. I learned a lot about starting an aquarium and maintaining it, more than I have ever learned anywhere else! I recommend coming here and avoiding corporate pet stores.

Always have a nice selection of fish. If you’re in the market for bristlenose or other loricariidae, this is one of the best selections around. The staff is very knowledgeable on requirements for habitat. Got this guy over 2 years ago from them!

I had a betta fish who was sick and called twice on separate occasions for advice. Not only were both conversations extremely helpful, nor did they get any type of return on investment, but when I went into the shop with photos they continued to answer further questions and even gave me a hug when I realized my beta had a tumor. They had so many beautiful pets, frogs, snails, fish, birds and so much more. I am so pleased with the service I got there that all of my business will now be here instead of chain pet stores! It is a beautiful and caring local shop that's family owned. If I could give them 10 stars for the service I received I would!

I love this store, I have birds and I can tell that the staff really cares about the birds they have. The babies are so adorable.Last year when I was debating on getting my first bird, RJ talked to me for at least an hour about different small bird species and the pros and cons of each. He was so helpful and knows a TON about birds! Really a great experience. They do not sell finches since they can carry avian flu, but I'm constantly stopping by to pick up perches, toys, and food for my little guys.I do some planted terrariums and it's also a great place to pick up cholla & spider wood for them 😁 great local shop much better to go here than the chains!

Just got another family member from these fine folks. Brought home the nicest little lovebird for our anniversary. She is so healthy and happy. Hand raised from birth - a real snuggle bug. I also got a cockatiel there years ago that was awesome. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The animals are wonderful and well cared for. Their prices are a small bit higher than big box stores but what you get from the people there it's well worth it and more. Keep your $$ local and support a great business. You won't be sorry.

I came into fishkeeping a couple of months ago as a total newbie. I didn't know much about it as I've always kept furry critters. I initially went to a big box pet store and purchased some guppies and Corydoras. All of them died within a day. I then decided to seek out Birds and Beasts and humbly asked for advice and tried to figure out where I went wrong. I first met Brandon and he showed no judgement to my mistakes and took the time to educate me about fishkeeping and water quality. I have learned so much from him and all of the staff at this store! I now have a very healthy 10 gallon community freshwater tank with several happy little fish! I'm so grateful to this store! Everyone here is knowledgeable and helpful. They also do free water tests so they keep me informed on my tank's water quality to ensure my fish thrive and stay healthy. I will never go anywhere else. Go give them all of your money!

Patrick is likely the most knowledgeable "fish" guy I have ever spoke with. If you are into aquariums do yourself a favor and stop in one day.

Every time I go in--- which is not all that often-- I am treated as if I and my bird are the most important customers. They are all so friendly over the phone for advice as well as in store. They are beyond knowledgeable and always willing to spend time to talk through whatever issue you are having.

I love to stop in at Birds & Beasts Pet Shop for pet supplies. Every time I visit the shop, I know I will have a good interaction with knowledgeable animal people. I opted in for texts and frequently get notified about special sales. We have a fairly large reptile and no other store carries caves big enough for her. We got her this extra large hide when reptile supplies were on sale!
