Why is it when DG has clearance events this particular store ALWAYS hides the stuff in the back. Then after the events over the employees put things back on the shelf on Tuesdays. She (Cathey) did it during both events this year. If items aren’t selling during regular price why won’t you sell them during clearance. That’s just being greedy. Other than that staff & manager (Cathey)are always nice, greets me when I walk in. Store is clean & neat.

One employee was very rude i think his name was Darrin. He followed me around the store, had an attitude when I asked him for help and then refused to ring me up insisting that I do self check out instead. I've never been treated this way before and I do not like it. He also keep mumbling things under his breath about me. Overall really unprofessional behavior.

Purchased Diet Dr Pepper on sale, 4 6-pack bottles for $10. Went back today to buy them for my father-in-law and was denied the sale price. The very rude "manager" (at least she said she was) said she wasn't honoring the sale even though I showed her the sign posted on the shelf. I also told her I was going to complain to corporate and she said "Go ahead." This store has just lost a customer who started shopping here when they first opened because it's close to my house. I won't ever shop here again.

Super fun store to walk the aisles and relax. Always, neat and orderly. The cashiers no matter who it is are ways so friendly and kind. Having service with a smile is one reason I will continue to frequent the Crete location!

I go to this DG because the employees and the customer service is amazing. They’re always friendly & helpful. They’re always working hard every time I go in. Cathy the manager is the best and I’m sure her positive upbeat attitude influences the vibe of the store!

My previous review was only 1 star posted 9 months ago, but since then the staff experience has been extremely pleasant and the manager very polite and super people friendly. One of my favorite dollar generals now. A wonderful addition to the town of Crete.

Cathy and Rhonda are phenomenal managers! They do a wonderful job keeping the store clean and being attentive and courteous to customers. I've consistently had great experiences at this store since they opened!

This store was organized, clean & well stocked. I drove past 2 other locations to get here but it was worth it! Bonus! Caught an after Christmas sale on these candles! .25 each

I was just yelled at & called a Karen by the cashier. She was blowing her nose for 5 mins. And than wanted to touch all my food products. she pushed me out of the store yelling and screaming. I feel really sad for her, she really looked silly! I Will not be returning.

The higher ups need to send a secret shopper in there, because the RUDE manager by the name of Cathy is extremely bad for business and has absolutely NO people skills what so ever.

Brand new place just opened in November. Very clean inside not in disarray like all of the other older Dollar Generals in Park Forest and Richton Park. ManagerAnd young lady working there were very friendly. I will return there again because you can't even find your way around the one in Park Forest because of the Clutter.

My first time at this location. Staff was very nice and wearing masks. Store is larger than I expected and clean. The only thing that surprised me was there were empty shelves, still, at the end of May.

Dollar General, compared to other locations they seem to cost a bit more. This location seems to be a bit more busy than others but still great service. Stock is very iffy at times. A visit can be a hit or miss but definitely appreciate the location its closer to my home.

Store looks like it was looted. Trash everywhere. Extremely dirty. Nothing on the shelves. Good luck trying to walk around the store. Employees are nowhere to be found.This place needs to be shut down.

Good availability of products, but service was lacking. Tried to buy cigarettes and presented DL with hole punched by DMV. Can't accept that. OK cool. Presented temporary REAL ID provided by DMV, cant accept that either. Was not given an official reason why my ID cannot be accepted, even though I use it to buy alcohol at all gas stations and liquor stores. The kicker is I went to the other Dollar General 2 miles away, and they accepted it.Perhaps employees and managers should be retrained on what valid government issued ID's look like.

Its usually always clean and well stocked except for on again off again covid products...and you know how tha5 goes. In fact, I would say this is my favorite in the southern suburbs.

Need to carry more RC cola. When I went I only found one 2 liter. And no Pepsi 2 liters. And could you start maybe carrying clay pots for flowers. Thanks

The employees in this store try very hard to make this store a success however I don't feel that the Dollar General themselves was ready to open the store in Crete there seasonal items are never stocked the shelves are empty the store is just dirty it's a new store and it's dirty Ian when the power goes out nobody knows how to reboot the system or make the computers work the store really need some improvements
