I had a really disappointing experience at your deli counter this morning. I was the only person at the counter. The lady had her back to me. When she turned around she said "Mam you have to take a number.". I looked around and didn't see anyone else. I said, You can't wait on me with out a number?". She said "I waiting on someone else ". Then she pointed to a man standing behind me. I said, Just forget it I don't want anything.". I just walked away.

Unfortunately they stopped carrying Farm Fresh milk. That was one of my main reasons to go here, but the cashiers are friendly and easy to find whatever you need

I did my thanksgiving shopping here last week, IAM from Dupo and it always has what I need. It is clean with a very huge selection of items. The worker's are always friendly and helpful. Thank you. Cahokia take notes. Lol

PSA - ALWAYS Check expiration datesSchnucks- Columbia, Illinois StoreThe store is clean, friendly staff - but they always leave expired product on the shelf. Maybe all stores do this but I’ve gotten so many expired products over the years at this store, it seems deliberate.I once accidentally bought ice cream that had expired 6 months earlier - I didn’t know ice cream could “go bad” but it was putrid.On NYE 2021, I stocked up on cheese dips, cold fried chicken & bread. I was rushing & didn’t check the dates. I started eating the chicken which tasted rancid & the sell by date was the day before... The dip had expired 2 months earlier & the bread was stale. It was extremely frustrating.I had company in town 01/12/22 so stocking up on quick snacks (dips, ready meals, etc & saw 4 different items that had expired product on the shelf).When I got to the cheese dip section (the old stuff I accidentally bought on NYE was still there - 8 containers of dip w/ November expiration dates & another expired early Jan.… Either no one is checking the shelves for 3 months or it’s deliberate (yikes!)

Hope store managers are reading this and check out little's law online. We citizens in Columbia expect high end service similar to one you provide in stl west county and other locations. Meat is mediocre.Inefficient checkout. Waited 30 mins on a line to pay for 3 items on a Sunday June 7th. They have to figure out how to improve this (e.g., self-checkout, another line for less than 10 items)

I’m skeptical of the 4-5 star reviews with no comments. Today, a Sunday, there were lots of empty spots in the meat counter. No ribs or the fish I wanted. I did not buy the potatoes, corn, bananas or apples I had on my list because they all looked unappealing. The people are friendly, but the selection continues to be a disappointment.

This place is alright if you just want basic items. But it really doesn't have anything that is eye appealing. Like if you are going here for something simple then yea come here but if you want something a little different it won't be here. And I feel like the teen workers work harder than the adults that have been here for years. I also feel like they do some weird promoting for the bowling alley over the summer. Every time I went in there, it would just have these bowling cards in every isle it seemed like. So this place gets a 3 because it's just basic and boring.

The manager has started selling allocated bourbon as a silent auction. This has increased the cost the consumer 3-4 times MSRP. This is price gouging and shouldn't be done. Shame on you for taking advantage of consumers.

I shop here for my Mom and this is a very Clean, Organized, Employees are very helpful & Super Friendly.Only thing is they don't haveis a Drug Store.😕 it's a bummer.Rating this Schnucks at a 98.%

Very nice store. Kinda pricey. Deli counter was neat. Order then they out in a cooler for you to grab on way out. So you do t have to wait on them to cut and bag your lunch meat etc. very nice people

Self checkout was a problem with the night fella helping me scan almost every other item. He said they just revamped them and now they've had problems....thought it would be quicker to check myself out.. wrong.!!! Twice as long with scanningHe was awesome and being patient and so helpful...But I'll wait in the lines and go through a Human checker from now on!

This location's layout is probably one of the worst with very limited supply of standard groceries. The way they have the self checkout and normal check lanes is constantly backed up and takes longer to get through than it does to actually shop.

Really like being able to shop in a clean, nice store where everyone is friendly and the selection is really good. Got 3 decent sized chicken strips and 2 sides for $5.99 in the deli, AMAZING! Loved the food, the price and the customer service was great! Definitely recommend this store, I drive 20 minutes out of my way to shop here.

Great place to shop. Always fresh produce, meat dept is well stocked but limited selection of fish. Diary and center store do a good job but still show signs of pandemic supply problems. Private brands are well represented but seem to disappear when brands are packer labels are cheaper.

Very clean, amazing workers, and pretty good tech. Everything is well stocked.The amazing workers are very nice, and very friendly. Love that! Check out didn't take too long.Only complaint is the music. Not the best. Everything else is just amazing!

Horrible store. The shelves are full of empty spaces, the deli closes whenever it feels like it. Employees are often snotty and incompetent. Spoke to a manager tonight about the deli closing early and she says it never does. I told her (Stacy) that it closed early tonight and she denied it. Acted like I was a liar. She refused to investigate it or take any responsibility. Another employee told me I should go find employees for them to hire so they can keep the deli open later. NOT MYJOB!!!! This store is a trainwreck and the management and most of the employees JUST DON'T CARE!!!. It is no wonder no one wants to work there.

I don’t shop at the Columbia Center store often, after tonight I never will again! The older man who was checking out asked me in a snarky tone to wait until he was finished with the person ahead of me. He didn’t ask he TOLD me to wait. He then told me to remove my items from the belt and that I was supposed to wait to be called. When I asked was something wrong, he asked me if I read the sign. I’m sorry I know Covid is still a concern but not one other cashier was making anyone else do this. I was 10 ft from person in front of me and they were finished, all the cashier had to do was give him his receipt. Seriously is that how to treat a customer!? I have to be honest at that point I had enough of his attitude and got snarky right back to him. No, I didn’t even see a sign, so no I didn’t see the protocol for checking out. I said that I guessed that was a new and once again he got ugly and said “well it’s been that way for 18 months nothing has changed, it’s nothing new”. I wish I knew the name of the person who I had the misfortune of interacting with, I would love to put him on blast. I should have complained to the manager but then I doubt it would do any good. I love going to Schnucks, from now on I’ll go out of my way so I never have the displeasure of seeing that jerk again. (Rant over)

Ya know I don’t normally leave reviews for places unless I either see something I really loved or something I really hated. And today I saw something I despised. Today the district manager chewed out a vendor in front of the whole store while both wore a mask. There were a multitude of customers without mask in the store mind you. He proceeded to chew him out for 5 minutes in the front of the store then forced him to walk out the front of the store and walk around back in 20 degree weather to his vendor truck. Normally I wouldn’t be bothered by this but being a vendor i took it upon myself to confront the store manager and ask how he can sell to customers without mask but can kick someone out of the store for not having a mask on as he’s entering (the vendor didn’t have his on as walking in through the back room that carries the excess inventory, he did have it on while in the floor). To put it short if you’re shopping at Schnucks they’re happy to see you as long as you have money. Besides that, you’re another walking, disposable statistic and if I were to spend my money somewhere I’d spend it at a store that cared for those that keep them afloat. Not put them down and punish them in childish ways in front of a whole store on what would have been his day off.

I was worried that once Schnuks took over our little home town store, it would lose the charm it had but they kept it a small town store. They offer Schnucks products keeping prices competitive, and excellent deli! The associates are so nice, I really enjoy coming in.

Columbia, IL location, Sunday, 5 pm. - For what the employees are going thru, they were all super nice and cheerful!! They were working filling product. The only items I saw that were out were all bread and paper products. I didn't get near the water isle so not sure about that. Eggs were low. But frozen items such as pizza and snacks were full.

The Deli staff here is Tremendous..Have ordered 20 chicken strip dinners for our company lunch 3 different times and always been ready to go...Hot and Packaged up..Brian makes sure all the utensils and sauces are there always come back
