For 11 years Oakwood helped us care for our sweet girl Chata. Life expectancy is 8 years for her breed. She crossed the rainbow bridge a few weeks ago, it was a devastating loss for us. They were so helpful after we told them she died at home & helped us make decisions on what we wanted to do. I had to bring in my other dog today and the kindness of the staff asking how our family was doing… I just can’t thank them enough for their care.

The team at Oakwood Vet Services goes above and beyond to know that your precious fur babies are cared for. We knew from the minute that we walked through the door, that our pup was in good hands. It takes a lot to see the genuine concern for a pet, but the vet and staff do it so well. Highly recommend!!

This place is simply the best. I have a stray cat that just showed up I'm trying to care for. He showed up today limping. As soon as I saw that, I called Oakwood and got "Garage Cat" to Oakwood not even 30 minutes later. Now, he is vaccinated, on schedule to get neutered, and treated for his leg wound. Cannot say enough good things about this vet, especially since I asked about shampoo to clean him up and they literally gave me some of their own. I really appreciate this vet.

Very good staff! This doc did everything the 3 other places didn’t n it cost me less money! She saved my little buddy for me he is so grateful 24 hours after seeing her my dog is like his old self again not sick first time I haven’t seen him without drool coming out the corner of his mouth in almost 3 months 1200 dollars later even!! One visit with Oakwood n he hasn’t drooled or gotten sick once since. First time seeing her and I now know who our new Vet is! Fabulous place!

We have only been using Oakwood for about a year but so far, they have been awesome to work with. They take their time with you and they are very good with our 130 pound male Labrador. They even call the next day after a visit to check on the patient. We are very happy with them and we trust them with our pet's health care.

I met Dr. Miller while bringing my dog into the AEC on a Saturday night. She was so helpful with my dog's case. She recommended an ultrasound of my dogs bladder a few weeks afterward and I knew I was going to struggle to pay for it. I decided that I wanted to visit her after another recent episode and they got me right in in her actual office. The entire staff was friendly, helpful and willing to work with me. Ive never left a vet so satisfied. Ive told everyone about my great experience and I look forward to working with this facility for future issues and for routine things to keep my dog as healthy as possible. 10/10.

The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. My little fur son was had to go in for an unexpected surgery and they walked us through everything step by step and everyone from the people working the front desk, to the vet techs, and even the doctors themselves were extremely empathetic and informative the whole way through and they did a great job on my little boy. I couldn't be happier with Oakwood Vet!😻

I will sing it from the rooftops, and have, -- I'm so grateful I found Dr Miller and Oakwood Veterinary Service. My dog was preemptively diagnosed with cancer by two different vets, the first of which wanted to charge me $600 for an ultrasound without even mentioning that it might be something else. I took my dog to Oakwood just to establish care, feeling the first vet was taking advantage but resigned to the fact that my dog had cancer. As soon as Dr. Miller saw me, she said, "This doesn't look like cancer, this looks like blasto," a fungal infection endemic to the Mississippi River. I had never even HEARD of blasto. A few days later the test results came back and indeed -- my dog had blasto and we had a correct diagnosis and a path forward at a fraction of the price of the other vet. It's still going to be a long road of recovery, but I trust Dr. Miller and the technicians and staff at Oakwood already more than I have any other vet I've visited. I'm so grateful I finally found the care my dog deserves.

We hauled a horse in for a lameness exam and it was the first time using this practice. We had no expectations as far as the outcome, but heard great things from other clients. From the time I made the appointment I was treated with respect and utmost kindness. Top notch professionalism from everyone who works here. Dr. Carls is knowledgeable and realistic in his approach. We could not be happier with the service we received and will be back!

I ended up taking my cat here to be put down after having a horrible experience at the previous vet for a medical check up. Staff was so kind and compassionate. When we moved on with a new fur baby, i knew this was her forever vet.

Called them at 8am on Christmas Eve after my cat had an emergency/issue, even though they were booked up for the day they still made room for him and had me come up right away. Was up there a total of about 45 minutes and was greeted by courteous and professional staff as well as the doctor who explained everything in a way that I could understand and also took great care of my cat and made sure he was good to go before we left. Would highly reccomend and would go again.

My dog passed away today. I took the body to the vet for cremation. Sign said closed between noon and 2 pm. I tried the door and found it unlocked. Receptionist was there and took the information. Dropped off dog. Not a good day to keep a dog in the trunk since it was in the 90's.

This vet's office cares more then words could every explain about your pet. They treat them as if they are their own! Always answer all of our question and are so helpful and accommodating when scheduling appointments. The entire staff is welcoming from the minute you walk in the door, until check out! We are so thankful to have such a supportive, caring, compassionate office to help us through those regular check-ups, and sick days!

I love this vet. They take great care of our animals. From Ashley listening to our concerns and helping us make appointment to Dr. Miller and Dr. Carl's for Makinng sure our fur babies are okay and technician Rhaelynn for also checking our fur babies lungs and xrays. They have reasonable prices and are always just a phone call away for any and all concerns we have. We've been coming to them for 7 years for our 2 dogs and cat and we have never had a bad experience or problem with anyone there. We're thankful for all they do in our community and are joyful they are with us and dependable. Thanks to all of you at the Oakwood Veterinary Service for everything!
