A quick stop for something fast. Great deals from the Deli on fried chicken absolutely delicious. Good deals if you look for them. We buy most of our weekly groceries there. Love the bakery fancy treats and cookie trays, breads etc. and the produce - fruit & Vegetales and meat department. Friendly cashiers, very helpful staff. Nice CLEAN and organized store.

Corporate is a bunch of greedy idiots. You desperately run outside or are doing the 'find-bars cha-cha' in vain because they have 99¢ deals if you hit a coupon button 3 screens into a slow website. The store has no customer Wi-Fi making this feat impossible. I can't wait for Jewel-Osco to come. At least they have a website & don't block cell phone data.

Always friendly & my family has worker here before always hear good things.ESPECIALLY TONIGHT THE LADY WITH THE BLONDE HAIR WITH PIG TAILS IN THE 10 or less line ur too nice I wish I got your name……I went in last min to turn in my milk containers & with out no fuss with a smile she did it very fast & also was so friendly to my son and offered stickers for him helping to check out. Most people these days get upset about goin in last min, before close I so get it… get anxiety about it. Y’all were troopers and very nice and respectful!!!!!!!This store for years has always been a good local family store!!!!!

I only go here when necessary since they have started the digital coupons. Their system is not up to date enough to be doing these types of sales. It works at the big stores because the big stores have the infrastructure.

Rotten meat again. Berkots please get the fixed. The meat I just bought today is a terrible mess. Foul smelling a seemingly rotten. Ruined a dinner so on to plan B.

They treated me like a dog I won't buy a loaf of bread there and I'm one of the people that spends anywhere from 2 to $3,000 a month at that store I won't get on my dime. But if you want to go to work for him let me tell you what you have to do what you have to put up with your coworker can talk to you anyway they want to they can cuss you they can do whatever they want because the rules at work cuts they only apply to certain people.

Great local grocery store! Staff are always welcoming and eager to help. I can generally find what I'm looking for whenever I go in...and often more than I went in for. Their deals & sales beat a lot of the big box stores and quality of their meat & produce is always better than the big chain stores. Its nice to be able to go in somewhere and be recognized too. Even if they don't know your name the staff seem to make note of their locals/regulars and go out of their way to make you feel at home. I can't complain even on days when I night have to wait in line because they go out of their way to try to keep any wait times to a bare minimum and are always apologetic about any wait! This store is a pleasure to frequent!

Berkot's in Coal City, IL. has a good selection of items and mostly reasonable prices (especially when they have a good sale).Also, look for the reduced price when buying _x_ amount of items signs.This is the only choice in town for most grocery items and it is worth visiting to check out their selection.The deli/bakery might have what you're looking for, stop by and look.I recommend verifying the expiration date on your choices, especially the dairy and other highly perishable items.The store is clean and the employees are polite and try to be helpful.

I am a person with celiac disease,hardly any gluten free food,they use to have cinnamon raisen bread but nomore,hard time at deli when I ask for slicer to be cleaned.

It's a decent small town grocery store. Stock levels are getting much better. They have really expanded their selection in a lot of areas, their frozen pizza section has a lot of new choices for a quick meal.

It’s convenient because it’s close by. I think the prices are high but they have good deals sometimes. I stick up on meats when they have their truckload sales. I would like to see the employees smile,though.

I love this store, Nothing like walking into you're hometown supermarket with welcoming employee's smiles on there faces and always a very cheerful bunch. Everytime I have gone into the store I have been greeted in the store by a employee with a smile, that says they treat workers right. I love there selection of produce it's Hugh and prices that won't break your wallet, the deli counter has a large variety of lunch meats plus they serve hot food also. THE BUTCHER has beautiful cuts of Steaks and chicken Chops, or Ribs you Can't say there's not something for everyone's taste bud's. Top it off the Liquor line is a very nice selection at very good prices also, so very clean friendly welcoming staff and a variety of food and drink to please the whole family this store is a #1AAA keeper Amazing ..

Cashier was very kind. The boys bagging groceries need to be trained what goes in what bags. They put my vine tomatoes on the bottom and put in 6 baker potatoes, my 3 poud bag of gala apples and my peaches. My tomatoes were squashed. Then I had 3 bags of assorted buns, bread, and 2 bagel bags shoved in 2 bags. You always give ur bread room to breathe so my 2 pkgs got squashed too. I talked to the Manager Gary I used to be an assistant manager for years there before it became berkots. It's all in the training to have happy customers. I usually bag my own when I shop but I didn't today. Gary said he would handle it. I also told him I stopped at the deli for a fresh honey tender bucket but they were 2hrs and 20min into the bucket so I asked the fryer guy to make me some fresh, he said no problem it will be around 7 min. I went back about 10 min and the gentleman says oh ur the lady who wanted the honey tenders. I said yes he said he was sorry to say that he didn't cook any because he didn't really know how many I wanted. I discussed what was fresher the bucket I was holding or what was in the warmer in the foil pan. That shows how much he was paying attention to what I was asking for. So I said just forget it. He said he was sorry, I said well that just makes me want to go somewhere else. What happened to an intercom or come our behind the counter and go find the customer? I was very dissapointed cause I love the honey tenders and always get a bucket of them when I shop. Just thought I would share my customer experience with u. I am sure nothing will change, people expect to make good money but some never put there all in while working. Thanks for listening. Yes I am a regular customer and a loyalty member.

We ordered a brisket that serves 20 to 25 people and 60 piece chicken for our family get together on June 4th. The chicken as usual was good but the brisket was excellent. No one could believe we got this at Berkots in Coal City. Just wanted to thank Berkots for the excellent food and service! We highly recommend both chicken and brisket.

Horrible customer service. Especially from the associate Diana. They need finishing ringing up customers and talk on their breaks and not hold up the line to have a conversation or read what's on sale in the paper. I wouldn't even give them one star but you have to put something.

Great prices and they put offers every 2 weeks.They got many variety of food, from Mexican to German.Also there is a liquor section with also great variety of beverages.The staff is so helpful and friendly.Parking lot big enough, store is clean and well organized.

This place is okay for the most part. They sometimes have decent sales. You have to watch their meat sales because just because they say it's a sale doesn't always mean that it is. When they have their buy one get one meat sale they Jack the price up to cover the cost of what they claim they're giving you for free. All you have to do is watch the price of something a couple of days before it goes on sale and compare it to the price when it's on sale and you can see it for yourself. There are times when they put things on sale that are good deals too. But many times when something is on sale they're always out of the sale item even on the 1st day of the sale.

I do the curbside pick up because I have little ones, and it is sort of a pain in the behind having to get them in and out of the car to go in the store. I am so pleased with the service. The shopper always picks the best produce, and when I order deli, the deli dept. slices whatever I order just the way I ask.I wish the Braidwood location was as good as the Coal City location.

Local Grocery store that features an excellent meat section. And has a great produce section. Personnel is attentive and knowledgeable in their departments. Love their daily in-store specials like sushi mondays or chicken in a bag; so does my family!😋
