Nice shop with broad array of high quality foods, select toys too. The store keeper was able to recommend a "calming" toy -- a real boon for a 4 month old puppy on a cross country road trip. She had the refill too!

A friend told me about this place. Fabulous place for dog and cat food. Plant base and the environment is so laid back, you'll find yourself in there longer than expected just because they have so many natural supplements for your pet. Try them out you won't be disappointed.

We struggled for almost a year to find our puppy a kibble she would eat. The vet insisted that she would starve and then learn to eat her food. She was always "picky" apparently, but then straight-up starved for several weeks, losing 3 pounds (off her small 50lb frame). She stopped playing, wouldn't get out of bed, skin was completely covered in a red and raw rash... Until we finally called Sophie at Sprocket & Stone. We told her we were desperate and would buy/feed our fur baby anything she recommended. Thanks to the new food, Kala is now rash free, bubbly, and Zoomies like she's making up for lost time. I struggle not to happy ugly-cry EVERY time she bounces around and demands I get on the floor to wrestle with her. We should have talked to Sophie sooner. I cannot express how much lighter our hearts are now that baby girl is eating AND happy.

Upgrading my original review from average to 5 stars. I don't usually get a reply that is sincere and as genuine as the one I got from the owner. I now understand why I felt the way I did and it is true what they say about not knowing what someone is going through and that applies to business too.

Amazing store!! All high quality products for our favorite pets. I have been shopping from here for our cat for 2 years now and Sophie is so attentive and friendly. She even brings us the litter home, which is a super extra, since we don't have a car.

I recently visited for the first time at their anniversary sale, and I'll definitely be a repeat customer! Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The selection of cat products is great, and prices are comparable to those of mass retailers (with the added benefits of supporting local business!) I also love that they offer local delivery. I'll definitely be returning for more goodies for my cat.

What a great local shop!!! They have only the best quality food and treats for your furbabies. I am so excited to have found a local place that sells our dog food!! As well, the owner/worker was so friendly! Since I buy big bags they are sometimes unlikely to have the exact blends I want, so let me know I can always call a week ahead to make sure it is ordered for me. I highly recommend shopping local!!!

This is one of the absolute best pet food places that you can go to. Not only is the staff incredibly knowledgeable about all things related to our furry friends, but they're also super nice, always give out samples with your purchase, and just have a really great attitude and a genuine love for animals. The owner Sophie is an amazing person and she really does do her best to make you have the best shopping experience that you can have. We have been going to her for years.

Super helpful! I couldn't bring my pup in for an in person coat fitting because of his anxiety so they helped me get the right measurements at home and walked me through the options in store. Ended up with a great fit that will keep him nice and toasty warm (also their selection of collars is super cute!)

Had a wonderful experience here just yesterday. Great selection of chews, food, and toys. Owner/shopkeeper is super friendly and even gave Barnaby (my dog) a treat :) It was Barnaby's birthday and so the owner also recommended the homemade dog ice cream (my dog has a thick coat and so I was actually looking for something to help him cool down anyways and the dog ice cream comes in so many flavors, small individual containers, and is completely homemade) and he really loved it!! :) Will definitely be returning soon.

I can't speak highly enough of this store! The owner Sophie goes out of her way to accommodate my dog and cats' (rather particular) food preferences! She's incredibly knowledgable about canine and feline nutrition and behavior. Sophie is a truly wonderful human being and this store is a gem.

I have bought dog food and treats here, and like everyone else commented, Sprocket & Stone is a wonderful place. The owner, Sophie, is really nice. She goes out of her way to help you. I've even brought both my Beagle and Anatolian Shepherd to the store a few times, and Sophie remembers their names (and gives them a treat). The dogs like her too.

I keep my dogs on a grain-free diet and Sprocket & Stone has a wonderful selection to choose from. They also have a really terrific incentive/reward program. They have been really terrific and helpful (and safe!) during this pandemic and lockdown. One of my favorite businesses in all of Hyde Park.

I should have reviewed this long ago. A local treasure! We get a wide variety of chews for our dog (who is a voracious and efficient shredder) and he is always happy with the result.
