If I could give zero stars I would! I don’t usually give bad reviews but this time it is warranted. I have been taking my Cairn Terrier to this place ever since the place was called Bark & Bubbles. They have recently changed management but kept the same groomer and up until today I loved taking my dog there. Her original groomer was very knowledgeable and knew what she was doing with all the different breeds. She knew my dog has a double coat being the breed she is and had always mentioned that her hair should not be too short due to the protective, hard, straight outer coat. A quick google search on Cairn Terriers will tell you that.When my husband took her in, he called me stating there would be a new groomer and he wanted me to talk to her. I specifically said please don’t go too short as she has a double coat. She should not lose that upper coat. The groomer stated she understood. I repeated this twice over the phone.When I went to pick up Luna, the new groomer came out and asked “I hope that length isn’t too short?” I said “it should’ve been longer.” After bringing her home my husband took a look at her noticed her soft furry undercoat was completely exposed and a very uneven cut.We take her every 8-10 weeks to make sure her coat remains a certain length even after grooming.We called back letting them know that the cut was too short as I had mentioned to them, her rough coat was gone and we had let them know not to go too short.The guy at the front desk said well she doesn’t have a double coat and we don’t have to come back if we don’t like it.If they claim to know what they are doing and understand what the clients are asking for, the job should have been done correctly to begin with. They took zero accountability for their mistake and very negligently told us to go elsewhere. I do not recommend the new management and groomer at all.1st picture was 8 weeks ago by her original groomer. 2nd, 3rd and 4th pictures was today by the new groomer. They reassured us the cut was fine.

I found this place because my puppy's groomer moved here.Carlo, the owner is just a wonderful person. He has a true love for pets and truly treats your fur baby like it's his own.When I board Rumble at his facility, his communication was prompt, polite and he sent a tons of pic that really just reassured you that your baby is in good hands!Im beyond thankful to find someone kind, honest and who genuinely loves pets. Carlo, you have a customer for life!To Dya: Thank you for being the best groomer than Rumble could ever have. Truly appreciate your love for my little baby and we'll keep going there for as long as you guys will have us!

They have self service wash tubs there and blow dryers, but no aprons and bring your own towel. They also tell you they are not set up for self wash, but it's right there, as soon as you walk through the door. The owner wasn't there to "set up" the self wash when I arrived so I waited on him. All he did was turn on the water! ( I had my own supplies). He did give me the wash for free bcuz I waited (which is the only reason it's 3 stars instead of 2) but when I referred someone else to him, he said the same thing; they weren't set up for self wash. Who turns down business like that when all you have to do is turn on the water? Let me know when you are "set up" for self wash, maybe I will come back and start referring people again.

Took my dog in here for a nail trim & hypoallergenic bath. They were very patient with my dog & I know she can be a pain. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with other groomers but this one took her time with my dog & made sure to even clean in between her folds on her mouth & ears. Will be coming back!

THEY TOOK GREAT CARE OF MY BOY. I took my Golden puppy over to Armor park and he got himself all muddy. Now I never thought I'd pay for a dog bath because that's something I can do myself but when I dried him off he had a bunch of little knots and after a couple weeks my sister said they were getting bad and I needed to take him somewhere. I always get coffee next door so I gave this place a try. I thought they were gonna have to chop him up but when I got him back he looked real neat and smelled fresh. They even brushed his teeth and I think it's the first time his breath didn't knock me out at night. Anyway, the people in there are great, I'll get there names the next time cause I'll be back for sure

Outstanding service from people who actually care for pets. I could tell that the groomer/owner treated my boy with the same care that I would, as he came back happy, handsome & stress-free. Unfortunately we're from out of town so I won't be able to become a regular, but if we're ever in Chicago again we will definitely make Shaggy's a first stop. Thank you!

Brought both of my dogs for a bath and nail trim. My little guy is 11 and isn't fond of getting his nails clipped. My bigger guy is a 65 pound sweetie but is also like a bull in a China shop. When I picked them up they looked beautiful, calm and comfortable in the surroundings. Staff is very professional, calm and experienced! Definitely will bring them back.

I love this place. They do an excellent job washing and trimming nails for my dog. She has a partially white coat and has some skin sensitivities and they are able to accommodate both her need for a bluing shampoo and her need for a gentle scent. They also do excellent nail trims (better than at my vet), never cutting into the quick and always rounding off the edges with a file. On top of everything, my dog loves the groomer, which I think is super important to a positive experience. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they're always super busy, they are only open Sundays currently and are generally booked a couple weeks out. But the slight inconvenience is worth it as this is the best place I have found for dog grooming.

Beyond impressed. Staff was extremely kind and was able to make a miracle happen as my dogs training collar was getting stuck in her fur. Pup looks fantastic and was giving everyone kisses on her way out. If your dog is happy on her way out and its her FIRST TIME at the groomer... that says enough for me.

Tried to get appointment for my chihuahua and was told no appointment for weeks then I had my daughter call and say she had a Labrador they said sure we have something this Sunday if you are a groomer for pets how do you deny a puppy because of her breed. The lady on phone was rude too.i will never give them my business

Great place! Very clean and orderly. The owner is knowledgeable and friendly. Amanda grooms my dogs and she is fabulous! They are always so happy to see her, so I know they are in good hands. Highly recommend!

I go to bark n bubbles to get my dog's nail done. They are always friendly and fast. I love that you can see them through the window.
