* original review was for 2 stars based partially on shoes not staying on the dog’s feet, but after feedback to really tighten the straps, we haven’t had a single issue. So don’t worry, your dog won’t mind the extra tightening! While traction still remains an issue both indoors and outdoors, there is no denying how much our dog loves these shoes in the freezing cold snow.Pretty and well crafted, but lacking in traction and wouldn’t stay on our dog’s feet. At this price point you expect the soles to have some rubber but they are smooth. Our dog didn’t have traction on hardwood floors or slush.

Great product for my dog! She wore the Lavasox as natural as walking without a bootie (first time ever and we've tried multiple brands). We hiked over 4 miles and she wasn't hesitant at all to walk wonky or kick the bootie off. I purchased the blue because that was the only color available in my dog's size at the store and later contacted the Company via email and they let me switch them out for pink no cost no problem! I personally met the owners this past weekend and they are so awesome! Product is 100% made in Chicago too!! I did purchase the Saltsox too so I am ready for winter.

Best dog boot's ever! we have tried other boot companies with no luck, but this dog boot stays on and keeps my dog paws safe, cool, clean, they're the best. We get stopped and asked where we got them all the time and how great the dog boot is, it makes me feel like a good dog owner taking my furbaby on a walk. Thank you for your innovation and love for dog's.

Guy at our local Bentley's recommended these after we came in with broken hearts after our Ultra Paws booties had chafed our pit's feet (they worked fine with previous dogs!).These saltsox are AWESOME. Our pit's paws are unharmed, and the minimalist construction means he walks in them just fine - even on the first wear. The tough bottoms mean they're durable and they're even washable.You can also buy single booties on the site, which is fantastic. Because you know one will get lost somewhere.

Hands down the best!They are pricey but you’ll get a return on the investment before winter is over and are SO worth it!Sizing: I have a shih tzu and he’s really in-between a small and extra small. I’d go up in size and just be sure to Velcro them snugPerformance: They were kind of hard to put on, I’d add at least 5-minutes to prep time just for the Salt Sox. Ossie walked awkward for a second and then adjusted. Good traction on the ice & he ran in the snow without losing any of the sox. I loved that we could take a walk without his paws getting cold.Definitely recommending! Great product

After trying many different boots from the balloons which are impossible to some super custom-made boots which in the end did not fit, these boots are the BEST! Easy to get on (don’t underestimate the importance of that - you and your pooch are doing this three- four times a day for weeks) and do the trick - the boots keep salt and ice and packed snow at bay. They arelight weight but of tough fabric (no more toenails-through-the-balloon booties). Thank you Saltbox for your saltsox!

I am amazed. I desperately wanted to purchase a pair of boots for my dog but they were sold out online. I contacted the company and not only did they respond incredibly fast, they also found the exact pair of boots that I wanted in a store near me, and put them on hold! I am absolutely amazed with this company and will definitely be purchasing another pair soon!!

The balloons just don’t cut it! Thank you Salt Sox for an amazing product! We have a two year old Jack/Rat and the boots fit him Perfectly! Last winter we used the balloons and it was a constant chore and struggle to put them on and get them off. Mr Jax wasn’t a fan. With the Salt Sox it’s Easy On and Easy Off! Seriously one of the Best products I have ever bought! My dogs love the snow but used to get ice balls in their furry feet. Great quality and super customer service. These allow us to enjoy winter walks. Highly Recommend
