I just purchased cat litter here which was listed in store as almost twice as expensive as the online price ($36 vs $21). They do price match to their own online price but you need to give them your personal information to do so. To me, this practice is dishonest and deceitful. If you were to walk into this store to browse their goods, you cannot trust any of the prices listed and must look up every item you're comparing to see the "real" price. It's a shady business practice that targets the elderly, less informed, and people who are too shy to ask for price matching.

We recently moved to the Lakeview area and were a bit nervous in finding a new groomer for my little guy(doxin) as shy as he is. Erika was very kind and so sweet with him! It made it very comforting to drop him off! So happy we found her.

I love this PetSmart. I get my dogs groomed here by Erika. I have followed her from Edgewater to Lakeview because she’s that good. My dogs are always excited to see her. When I took them to another groomer during her maternity leave they were always scared and crying when I dropped them off. The moment they see where we are and they see her they are so happy. I have a German Shepherd and a Chihuahua mix and she’s so sweet to both of them. Our Chihuahua is a little fearful of people but she feels so comfortable with Erika.The manager of this location is also great he’s always so welcoming and helpful.

I love this place! I frequent here once a week when I volunteer to take care of the cats. We don't have alot of cages (only 4) but, they are always full with lovable kitties looking for a home. All pets here are also usually listed on petfinder. Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control is the rescue organization that partners with petsmart to care for the cats. We do our best to keep the cages cleaned and the kitties bellies full.This is also a smaller store, they do not carry every brand of food or everything a larger store would have but, I find they usually have what I'm looking for. Staff is always nice and friendly. This is very much a neighborhood store. No dogs, reptiles, birds or hamsters. Just cats, fish and crickets.

Horrible. My dog was treated horribly. He was kept in his cage with no walks or playtime. When I picked him up he was unrecognizable. He was shaking and distraught. When I was driving home he was panting so hard and disoriented. When we arrived home I filled his bowl with water and he finished it in less than two minutes. It lead me to believe that he was not properly taken care of. I didn’t recognize him at all. I will NEVER place him there again. Zero stars!

Zero stars would have been betterJust picked my dog from the groomer. He doesn’t even looks groomed. Very unfriendly staffI paid extra for the spring special and didn’t get the bandanna or the coupon book. And i had to ask for them. Then also didn’t get my receipt. Also had to ask for that. Very disappointing with the service at this location.

I've been coming to the Roscoe Village location about once a month for a little over a year, and every single time I've been greeted by one of their friendly associates asking if I need help finding anything. They have some harder to find items like Dr. Elsey's cat litter which is great. I don't think I've ever had to wait in line to check out because associates always come up and open another register if there are more than 2 parties waiting. Love that they can email receipts (wish all stores did this) and the rewards program as well. Very happy with our local PetSmart location!

This PetSmart is right around the corner from my apartment I go here weekly for pet supplies, and every couple months for grooming. All the employees are so nice and ready to help. I’ve never had a bad experience. Once my roommate even locked herself out and these folks helped her call me so I could come let her in when it was freezing cold and she was stuck outside in shorts. They really are THE NICEST. The selection here is a bit smaller than a bigger PetSmart but they have every necessity you need and they have kitties up for adoption usually!

The Groomer(s) are average. I used to take my Shih-tzu to a regular groomer. When I picked up my dog from PetSmart. my dogs hair on her ears were not straight and the rest of her hair was not even close from a professional. I paid extra for bow ties but the Pet Smart groomer said she could not do bow ties and indeed they came off in the store.

Friendly staff. The isles should have little signs to tell you what brands of food are there in that particular isle. I have seen this in other stores but not this one. Otherwise, it was easy in and out.

I set up an appointment for a haircut for my dog. When I got there, I asked if someone would come outside to grab her, so that I wouldn't have to enter the store due to the current pandemic. They told me that they no longer do curbside check-in. I informed them that I already checked in via the app and they still told me no, that I would have to come inside. They couldn't be bothered to just come grab my dog from the door...I don't understand why they would get rid of the curbside check-in despite there still being a pandemic, it's surging, and there are deadlier variants spreading. Terrible. I will not be using this service again.

I am new to the area and my pet Rokko was due for his annual shots! I was a bit behind and wanted to get them done quickly ( booking a vet appointment wouldn't be as swift). I saw an advertisement on low cost vaccine shots at Petsmart and book an appointment a couple days out! Upon arrival, I spoke with another person waiting. One of the reps came out to check us in. She was friendly. The process was literally a couple of seconds and we were done! Overall it was quick, cheap, and organized.

PetSmart is a great store...now while I do agree that most of their items are overpriced, I guess that is just tried for most pet stores.The store was very clean when I visited. I found exactly what I was looking for right away.The associate was very helpful and after purchasing my large dog bed, i was able to leave it there and run across the street to Target, and then come back for the bed. Very kind!

I work right by this store and always have a good experience here. Mitch the manger is my favorite. He has a lot of information on dogs and fish and anything in between. He always has a smile on and would recommend the store to experience his great attitude!

I accommodated them and came a earlier for my appointment that was scheduled at 4:30 because they called me saying 5:00pm was when they closed. I told them I could possibly make it by 3. I live in Evanston so I left my home at 2pm. Traffic was very heavy so I got to PetSmart at 3:45pm. The groomer did not wanna take me in because she said 3pm was we agreed on. I get that, however the fact that my appointment was initially at 4:30 and I still came before that time is very inconsiderate of them. I came way before 5pm. I'm extremely upset because just how I agreed on coming earlier than 4:30pm they should've taken some type of consideration in taking my dog for her bath & brush. Extremely disappointed. I would not recommend. I’d like a manager to reach out to me & address this. If the 4:30pm option is not available then why put it on schedule. I work as a general manager in a corporate business and I know even before close you still take customers in regardless if you have to stay a little past close it’s business, therefore I don’t understand this whole “come earlier than the appointment you booked or else we’ll have to cancel or reschedule.”

Great staff!The 3 ladies (Charlotte, Molly, and Sam) helping myself and Chelsea (14 y.o. GSP) were super friendly, funny, and accommodating. My dog has arthritis and the staff assured me she would be well taken care of. She came back super stoked and ready to find some smelly stuff to roll in!Good selection of canine products, and tons of parking. Despite this being a busy week (4th of July) they squeezed us in at the last minute and took great care of Chelsea. I called about 4 other PetSmart in a 10 mi. radius and none of them could take us.I’m very happy with the work they did, and so is Chelsea! We’ll be back after she finds a pile of dung to rub her face in :)Thanks again!

They were terrific staff, animal cages a bit small but very clean,helpful, walked me thru a great coupon booklet, and were friendly. I will return there if I ever get another cat, as my last kitty also came from Petsmart, and both cats are healthy.

I went one day and at the check out, the girl didn't let me finish my own transaction in the pinpad. After I paid, she didn't give me my receipt either so I asked for it. When I got home, I realized that SHE had selected to "donate" $10 of my money. No wonder she didn't want to give me my receipt. This is a robbery. I contacted customer service, they were no help either. They said I have to go into the store to get my money. How am I supposed to do that with the city being in a quarantined lockdown? Completely inconsiderate of my safety. I will NEVER return to their stores.
