I called in the morning to see if one of the Cats was available still and said yes, when I showed up asking for the adoption process. They insisted that the cat COULD NOT BE adopted at the time because the store was “short staff” and were more worried about stocking shelves and inventory. When I asked to speak to manager, employee pretty much just brushed me off and made it seem like it was a personal problem.If you’re planning to adopt, please call an advance and MAKE SURE THEY HAVE ENOUGH employees because when I called I was never told that there was a time cut off for adoption but in reality they’re worried more about restocking shelves instead of helping a pet find a forever home.

The first time I took my puppy here, I had a good experience, but this second time that I came, it was awful. The lack of professionalism and customer service that Kristina has, made me regret taking my dog here. I arrived at my appointment on time, and she asked me to wait for her. I understand that sometimes they can be understaffed, and I waited for her to take care of three other customers. when she finally looked into her system, she had the nerve to tell me that I was late for my appointment. I told her no, you asked me to wait. She said, "Oh yes,yes." After two hours, she called me to tell me that my dog would take some more time to be ready because my dog wasn't cooperating with her. My puppy is a 13 pounds, 6 months, Havanease mix. I'm not surprised. She wasn't even able to find my puppy's record in her own system, and she asked me for my dog's vaccination proof at the check-in. I wont take my dog here again.

They are always well-stocked and all the employees are great but I have to give a special shoutout to my guy John. I’m not sure if there’s more than one John but the one I’m referring to works Saturday afternoons and a few weekdays. He always greets me with a smile and provides great conversation on top of customer service. Thank you John for making us loyal patrons for life!

If I could give it zero stars I would. I went in to get fish supplies and was treated very rudely. I had a 2 gallon tank to put my guppies in and a worker approached me and in a very rude voice says that I was going to kill a beta if I put it in there which I wasn’t planing to. She was very condescending and stated that I would never be able to get a fish because I was not old enough. I wasn’t even planing on buying a fish. If you want to be treated with respect don’t go here.

This is the first time I’ve taken my senior cocker spaniel at this location to be groomed and overall, I am extremely thankful and pleased with the service and care that Angel gave to my Charlie. She came in earlier than her shift to have 1 on 1 time with Charlie because he was having a difficult time the day before when it was peak busy time. Angel went above and beyond for Charlie and I couldn’t be more grateful for her. She was so understanding and forgiving of my frustration the previous day. Angel truly is one of the best groomers I have ever come across. Charlie’s cut is beautiful and I can tell she really took her time to make him look as great as he looks. Thank you again, Angel. I will be going to this location for as long as I live in the area thanks to you!

Looking for puppy trainer? I HIGHLY recommend Stephanie at Petsmart on Kingsbury in Lincoln Park. She’s fabulous – great teacher, kind, caring, patient and gentle. She's goes out of her way to help and REALLY cares. My dog LOVES Stephanie. My puppy and I both learn so much from her. This Petsmart location is super lucky to have her. She's an ace. Honestly, I mostly shop at that PetSmart because of Stephanie!

LOOK AT REVIEWS. I have two goldendoodles , I do a very good job from keeping them matted. I usually take them in for a good bath and a trim. THEY SHAVED BOTH OF THEM even though they told me they were NOT matted. The staff is just lazy and they don’t want to take their time even though my dog is in there for 4+ hours. My little one came back with a mysterious irritated cut near the testicles. So lazy

I adopted a cat today. I went in filled out the paperwork everything went smoothly. An older lady who works the register is always very friendly every-time I am in there. However, the cat I adopted has a nasty upper respiratory infection. This does not get that bad in one day. I am not sure how long the cat has been at this location but she was and is suffering. I asked if she was sick. I asked if she had been pregnant (I understand that this is not their responsibility to know) but I confirmed with the shelter she had given birth at some point. Moral of the story she is very sick. She is having a very hard time breathing and extremely low energy. I would like to think at some point someone would have noticed the way she was breathing it was incredibly loud/wheezing/coughing. She was in the exact same spot for the 2 days I saw her. How did nobody notice this??? It’s cruel. Another thing I noticed….the food!! The food is left out in heaping piles along with wet food that was dried up and crusty. Please Please take better care of these cats they deserve more. I am happy to heal this cat but please make more of an effort to check on them.

Do not get your pet groomed here, terrible service! I brought my dog to get bath & brush services which should take 30 minutes… I came back an hour after dropping her off to see if she was done only to find her still in the small crate in the back & told that it would be another 3 hours. I told them to cancel my apt and give me my dog… she came out SO stressed and shaking from sitting in a crate 2 sizes too small for over an hour. This pet salon is boarder line animal cruelty, DO NOT GO HERE!

PETSMART GROOMING: I debated writing this review but I hope it helps the next person. I brought my dog in for a grooming appointment. 2 hours later I get a call from the groomer and they’re like “we won’t able to do the haircut… she was being aggressive and biting” my dog is 8 years old and has been getting haircut regularly and I have NEVER heard of this happening where they have to stop service on her. The groomer refused to tell me how many years of experience she had because it was “private information” and suggested I take my dog to a mom and pops shop when I have a package purchased. I have to note that this is not her first time at PetSmart either. I ended up having to leave with a wet dog dripping in water and I should’ve just took my dog and left the moment I walked in there and the energy was off.

My dog has separation anxiety. She has visit this location for a decade. The previous staff was amazing with her and her separation anxiety. They made her very comfortable. Since Covid the store has all new hires who doesn’t seem as experienced and dedicated. Most importantly, they scratch my dog and tell me it isn’t a big deal….which is nerve. This PetSmart is amazing! My girlfriend and I dog sit around Chicago and have taken our pups to this location several times! Special shout-out to Mia (I think that was her name/spelling…? Oops, sorry! Hehe) She is super super nice and kind! She went above and beyond to ensure our puppy could have another experience there, and an outstanding one!! We’ll be back again some day! :)

Setting up an appointment over the phone was wondefully easy, and Logan did a fantastic job with our matted pup. He kept as much as he could likes we requested, despite my dog needing a shave down. She looks so charmingly hilarious! (Her ears!!) Thank you again, Logan! The store is clean and well stocked and the employees and polite and very helpful. 100% will be making this my home location store.

AWFUL grooming experience. These people don't know what they're doing and are super disorganized. It's stressful and gross the minute you walk in. We went to bring our dog and they were too busy to manage him. We rescheduled for a couple of days later and they put us down for a different time than what we discussed and then said we couldn't bring our dog in because they have a 15 minute grace period.THIS PLACE IS TRASH! Do not bring your dog here.

Petsmart is my pet store of choice since I've had dogs. Today I had a bad experience and it's really not anything overt ... but rather in what's not said or done. Those little things that get done that leave you wondering whether you were slighted, or you're just crazy. Then just one more thing happens and you realize you are not crazy, and that you are really a second class customer. At this store (1415 N Kingsbury), I had the displeasure of being served by a cashier who made me feel unwanted at the store, awkward and embarrassed in front of the other guests on the queue. My receipt says cashier #720442 which I don't know whether is her ID or the ID of the register she's working from; she had dark black hair, had a bandana around her hair and bears the appearance of a south Asian. Why I'm I describing her? Because the store manager need to enroll her in classes so she can learn how to relate with customers. I wish I had spent my $290 dollars at a different pet store.

I will never go to this Petsmart ever again. They cancelled my baby appointment because they claim she was cooperating and she always get her grooming at petsmart. Everyone knows dogs sense people my dog is very friendly. On top of that it was her 1st birthday and I wanted her to look nice. Waist of my time 🤦🏾‍♀️
