Overall, Finn my 90 lb golden doodle looks good and he smells amazing. I was not crazy about the staff. They were not friendly and I felt guilty leaving my dog there for the 4 hours he was being groomed.I’ll pay the difference and take him to dashing dog, where I know he is well loved and the staff is friendly.

the ladies at the pet smart hotel are the best! It was my first time boarding my puppy Kai and I was very anxious but I was pleased to hear he did well and I can tell he had a good experience because he came home super relaxed today and I can tell he loves the staff! the cashier closing today 11/13, I didn’t catch his name but he was super nice as well, I forgot my items at checkout and he personally came to my car to bring them to me and gave my puppy treats. They forgot to give me my collar for Kai (which is ok!) but when I called to see if it was there, the front desk at the hotel took her time out of her busy day to look for it and even confirmed it was the right one with me by contacting shortly after hours! I was not upset at all but just amazed with their service. Overall I had a positive experience at this store. Would def recommend 1000% and I don’t post reviews at all

The people here are absolute gems. Sean stayed with us for ten minutes to talk us through the needs of our snake that we were concerned about. We hadn’t even bought it here, but he showed care and expertise that was just a life saver. I will be making this our pet store from now on. Thank you!!

I choose this Petsmart anytime I need something for my babies. A skinny girl with a ponytail (Hope was her name) assisted me on my last visit and she was SO sweet and knowledgeable about their products. She was efficient and patient and overall a star employee!

Staff is always so busy here but they are nothing short of helpful. There’s a skinny woman who wears her hair in a ponytail who is always eager to help out even when she has been doing a million other things I’m sure. She needs a raise!!

I accidentally ordered dog food from this location instead of Kingsbury (which was renamed S. Lincoln Park at some point). I didn't realize my mistake until I arrived at the wrong store and already clicked "I'm here" on the app. When I noticed my mistake, I immediately called the Lincoln Park location to explain the mix up and let them know I was on my way.First, the phone was answered by a woman who said she would transfer me to a manager when I explained the situation. A man answered and, after I explained the situation to him and gave him my name, he was quiet for a moment said there was no problem. I told him that I would be there in a moment and he said okay. When I arrived at the store less than 5 minutes later and called to pick up my order, an older man came out and told me that they had canceled the order and "she" was supposed to tell me it was canceled. When I tried to explain that I hand just gotten off the phone with someone, he cut me off and said "Well we canceled it so you're going to have to reorder..." There was definitely some hostility in his tone. I tried again and told him that no one told me they were canceling my order. He seemed surprised and said "I told her to tell you that we canceled the order when you got back on the line..." I explained that I was transferred to a man who told me everything was fine and no one mentioned canceling the order. At that point his tone improved and he said I had to reorder but he would get it for me immediately. He told me that the second person I spoke to was another cashier, not a manager. Unfortunately one of the items I ordered was the last in stock and, although it was right there in the store , it was no longer available for purchase. I ended up having to order from the other store anyway and drive back over there in rush hour traffic.I gave them 2 stars since he was willing to fulfill the order quickly for me and I did make a mistake ordering from the wrong store. I don't appreciate that my order was canceled without consulting or informing me and the poor communication cost me extra time and gas. No one should have assumed that I didn't want the order without me explicitly stating that. The cashier who was supposed to tell me the order was canceled should have called me back when she realized we were disconnected. At the very least, she should have told her manager that that the message was not delivered so that he wouldn't approach a customer expecting them to know what had been done. No fault to the young man I spoke to because I'm assuming the order still appeared active to him as it did in my app.

I recently adopted a cat, and I went to this Petsmart location to get all the necessary items I need for my sweet fur baby. The skinny girl with a ponytail (I think her name was Hope), was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about what I would need (food, litter, etc). I will be going back to this Petsmart anytime I need anything for my cat!!!

I went to this Petsmart because I needed crickets for my class pet. When I got there, I noticed no one was in the pet-care section. This is pretty usual these days. I hit their assistance/call button to let someone know I was waiting for help. Customers walked by as I waited….. and waited… and waited. After waiting 12 minutes, I thought about going to complain to a manager, but I decided not to, since I used to work for Petsmart myself and I didn’t want to get anyone in trouble. Instead, I figured I’d go ahead and start writing up the SKU numbers for the small and large crickets on the plastic bags, so that when an employee finally did come, they wouldn’t take even more time writing the SKU numbers and amount of crickets I wanted. As I was finishing the numbers on the second bag, a skinny woman with her hair in a ponytail came over and rudely asked me if I needed help. Obviously, if I’m doing her job for her, I needed help, right? So I kindly replied, “yep! I need large and small crickets.” She asked if I had pressed the call button. I told her I did. She said she didn’t hear it. (Ookaaaay? How. It’s in your headphones). As she reached the counter I was writing at, she snatched the bags I wrote on and bluntly told me “don’t ever touch my stuff”. Just like that. It hurt my feelings that she would respond to me like that after making me wait over 12 minutes for service and I was helping her! Instead of using the bags I wrote for her, she crossed off the writing I did from the first bag and rewrote the SKU and amount again, then she got a second new bag and wrote the SKU for the second bag completely over, wasting even more time (probably on purpose). Sadly, I’m aware that many pet care employees like to hide in the back during their shift so they can do the least work possible, then waste my time.Nonetheless, I’m disappointed that people like this work here with animals. I hope she treats the animals with more respect than she treats the customers.

I was in need of a groomer to groom my cat. I explained that my cat may not be cooperative but sometimes she is. Depends on the groomer. Petsmart on Elston said they wouldn’t even try to groom my cat.This was very frustrating. It’s extremely hard to find cat groomers in the city. I’m on a waiting list at Meow Chicago and was referred to the Petsmart on Elston. My poor cat is in need of a groom. Very sad that downtown doesn’t have more cat groomers.

I was supposed to have my puppy train here for beginners class like two months ago. I had everything ready to go with a trainer. It wasn’t until an hour before the class was going to start, she calls me to tell me No-one had signed up for the class. She had an entire week let alone an entire day to tell me, yet she chose to tell me an hour before the class was going to start. So we rescheduled for weeks later.The moment I get there she was assertive. To be fair I did run 5 minutes late because I had taken an Uber and the uber prior to that, cancelled on me due to my dog. Anyways, She didn’t address my puppy at all. I had my vaccines ready as they asked. Petco gave me a few papers of our vaccines, however my puppy was very frantic and impatient and started to tug and bark. I struggled trying to find the date they needed. She looks at me for about 20 minutes and then says “do you need help?” And then leaves? She then says an off put comment about how “good” behavioral wise, another puppy was while my puppy barked. She tells the pet parent “ reward her, she isnt barking, we only reward good ones” Thought that was extremely weird.She looked at one document and immediately didn’t allow me to go into the class. I was confused, went home and called my vet to make sure he was up to date on his vaccinations. As I expected, he was. She made me reschedule again for no reason. That was in February and now we’re in March. We already paid and we just want our dog to socialize with others more than the training.My partner told me to wait to write this review until we were done training with a different trainer, so that they don’t mistreat our puppy.Hopefully it goes well with a different trainer.

Took my dog in for a PAWdicure PLUS. It took them 5 minutes. There is no way my dog got a nail trim, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing plus more IN FIVE MINUTES. When I got my dog back, his paws looked the same. Nails are still very long. Staff in the grooming were also not welcoming, rude, and looked like they hate their job. Never getting a grooming service at this location ever again.

Store management is improperly trained to adequately care for chinchillas, especially following an incident involving two related/bonded chinchillas. After one chinchilla suffocated to death in its enclosure, store employees allowed his brother to remain, despondent and depressed, in the same dirty enclosure that his brother died in.Following complaints from a concerned customer, management isolated the despondent chinchilla in a back room.This is beyond indifference to the plight of a chinchilla—this animal cruelty, and an establishment whose business is animals MUST be better.

Awful!! The cages of the guinea pigs and chinchillas were full of their own poop, animals are not kept clean and when looking at the fishes one of them were dead and the other was eating it, they had no food or respect towards the fishes. They need to treat them better!

Was good , was looking for a 25wts light bulb for my fish tank. One of the light looked like was broken so I asked one of the employees if they can test it before I purchase them. I'm glad I did because it was, so had go for the 15wts. Overall good service. PetSmart on Elston.

I adopted a sweet elder kitty here about two years ago. The staff was wonderful and kind and very helpful in the adoption process. I adopted Pumpkin when he was 12 years old and he recent passed away at 14 years old and I miss him every single day. Here’s to PetSmart in Logan; the birthplace of the best cat that ever lived. I’ll always miss you, Pumpkin.

The PetSmart doggy daycare inside this facility is not a place I trust the safety and well-being of my dog. I rarely say things like this, but the place is truly run by incompetent staff who make the same mistakes over and over again. Different people will tell you different things, including corporate. You will give them second and third chances but they'll continue to drop the ball which will ensure wasted time and money and trust. I absolutely do not recommend leaving your furbaby here, if the staff can be this mindless when dealing with clientele, how mindless are they behind the scenes when tasked to take care of your pet? You get what you pay for, I guess.

This place never has anything in stock when you order curbside pickup but somehow the items magically appear in the store when you go in and grab them yourself. Wow, magicians! Staff at this store act incompetent and are never eager to assist the customer. whenever I have gone into this store, I have barely been acknowledged or assisted and they’re usually not very hospitable at all. if you’re fine with going in to shop at a store and somehow knowing where everything already is, it being dead silent because staff say nothing to you, and getting in & out as if staff aren’t even there? The groomers at this PetSmart are true dog lovers. Toro, my 10yo Cairn Terrier, had a blast and looked like a brand new pup when I picked him up. The cut and style were done perfectly. Happy to have found quality groomers in our new neighborhood!

Huge disappointment, I feel as if buying off of Craigslist would have given me a better experience.Over all Petsmart marketing ruined my expectations by far along with my purchase.I really wanted the 125 gallon ensemble however after my purchase of 500$ I was refunded without reason. I felt it was a sign to wait until Black Friday. As I kept looking at the 125g ensemble because I was fighting the urge to purchase prior to said day the price went from 499$ to 599$ to 649$ to a resting 699$ until Black Friday.I finally went on the site out of excitement to see the 125g ensemble was at 399$(expecting it to be less) thinking ok I'll buy it after my current job. When I finally decided to buy it at 10am online the price went to 449$. My excitement shattered as it was now sold out everywhere.Now that's just the websiteI gave into the lesser tank of 75g ensemble for 249$ and when I went to pick it up much to my surprise I received a display unit and not abrand new wrapped up and protected fish tank or stand or lights. They actually loaded an unprotected glass fish tank via steel dolly shaking and rambling. To the car as I was dealing with the kind cashier trying to make my other purchases. I asked for them to provide me a unit that is in the box and they said that is the way it comes. Chipped glass lid after I discovered at home no clips for the lights to do as advertised. I called to try to switch the tank out and I was told they were sold out. I felt stuck because my oscars demanded more space with their growth.My first Black Friday and negative experience purchasing a fish tank.I guess I must be extremely disappointed(taking this much time to baby cry) and if anyone has enough patience after experiencing the same both online and in store. I think it would have been best to wait it out and find it elsewhere used or ensure they have it safely transported and protected.I'll get that Black Friday screenshot with the pricing rolling coaster for the 125g

Our experience was absolutely terrible..I showed her a picture of what he looked like after his last grooming..we were shocked when she brought him out to us. It was the worst grooming job I have ever seen. He had no hair left and his head was not blended in. He is a Maltese and was traumatized after his grooming..Do not take your dog here!

We came here to get our pups’ picture taken with Santa. The staff is absolutely world class perfection. One of our dogs is special needs and has to wear a diaper. The other is a ball of pure energy and drool. None of the employees seemed at all phased by our dogs and everyone was so accommodating and professional. We used to be a Petco/Chewy family but I think we found our new home.

First time at this store. I only came here because my store had no availability for my dog vaccinations so I came here. I walked in and was greeted right away. Then I was told my puppy couldn't get a full haircut because he was too young. They could only trim. The person who was assigned to take care of my puppy handed him over to another lady who said he was "matted" and I had to either pay $20 for them to brush it out or save it off and leave him with bald spots. My dog is 12 weeks old, he is not matted..... When it's time to pick him up, I'm told that I wasn't charged a brushing fee. But they added a $20 cutting fee and didn't tell me that either. A puppy bath came out $57? Thank God I had a coupon that they had to discuss about before accepting it. Banfield hospital was no better.... I'm paying for their membership and still had to pay out of pocket for a medication not needed or requested. Also the doctor never came out to introduce herself .... I spent alot of unnecessary money in this store today and I'm not happy about it nor will I be back.

I come here to pick up supplies for my cat, it’s a good location. Always some cool animals to look at. One time I ran into a representative for the brand of pet food I buy and he gave me some free food and knowledge. They have a rewards program too.

Brought my dog here for grooming, the staff was not very friendly and did not make me feel very reassured about taking care of my very nervous dog. Grooming job itself was okay, but she still had a lot of loose hair coming out. Wouldn’t recommend for grooming.
