This is what I love most about Pete's Market:- The wide selection of food items. At this location, there is a variety of Mexican produce that the average American citizen is unfamiliar with. A visit to the produce section is always a fascinating educational experience!- The hot food section. Pete's has Mariano's beat singlehandedly in this category with more items to choose from. Both companies price hot food per pound with that at Mariano's being $11.99 a pound and Pete's charging less than that.- Clean store and friendly employees.

Beautiful store! Has the most amazing hot bar I have seen in any grocery store. The baked goods were phenomenal! The bathroom was very nice too. I highly recommend this store. Well done Pete's.

Great place but if you're making a small purchase, trying to get in and out, it kinda takes a while because there usually ISN'T a express lane open and everyone goes to lanes with varying amounts of groceries. Making an express lane more available would be nice, otherwise avoid this place at noon when it gets real busy.

This store is one of the best Pete's Market stores out there! The veggies are always fresh and plentiful, meats are too, and employees are helpful. The store itself is always clean and organized. What more can one want?

Would not recommend this place if your buying fruit ( Specially grapes , strawberries) or red meat.They mix their old rotten fruit / meat with the newer product.You can't tell till you take it home because the rotten stuff is in the middle to bottom Part of the containerI will he contacting the local health department for this matter .

This is an awesome Pete's Fresh Market. I did some grocery shopping here on Wednesday. Excellent produce section, and really the entire store is excellent. I purchased exactly what I needed. Cashier was very nice. I highly recommend!

The atmosphere is great. Some cashiers are rude, when you ask if the coupon came on the bill , they never speak English til you walk away. Some cashiers should not work with the public is you have an attitude.

If a zero star was an option I would have given that. This was my third time shopping here on every visit I was followed nearly stared at by the security officer from the door . First time I was surprised second and third time I was uncomfortable. I looked around to inspect other shoppers but notice I was the one being followed and stared at like I was doing something wrong. Interesting thing I was dressed up after coming from work ...needless to say I spoke to manager on duty and she said lately security has to walk around lots of theft which I get but walk around is one thing standing in front staring is another ...every aisle he"s staring...I'm paying at cashier ,he's standing there. It's okay I'll take my hard earned dollars elsewhere. Customer lost for good- Never again !!!

Went to the Pete's in Evergreen, IL. Bought some Buffalo fish that was so bad!!! Once I open the package the smell of the fish was horrible. Will never buy fish from this place again. Rotten fish can make you very sick. Pay attention to the fish you buy at Pete's.

Always fresh produce and great deals. Try their homemade mango salsa!Deli is fresh and has a good variety. They carry Boars Head meats. They have a sushi, salad bar, ready to eat foods. They even have a whole liquor section in the back.The store is always clean and stocked and enough lanes open do theres rarely long lines. Helpful employees and lots of parking space. Definitely my go to neighborhood grocery store.

Staff are friendly and helpful! I had picked out a few pieces of corn and it ripped right through the bag. A staff member had noticed, helped me pick them up and placed them in a bigger bag. I appreciate that type of service! I also never have any issues when I have an item return.

I love how no matter what time of day or night you go in this store every single thing is clean and neat as well as well organized.Fresh every time.Today was outstanding! I was in meat and cheese deli. It was 12/30/23. 1 day left in the year 2023!The man behind the counter ( I apologize to him i didn't have a way to write down his name)(STORE MANAGER find out who this MAN was, he deserves some kind of award for Upselling and as well as decency and kindness.) He was asking what I was making for New Years. I explained that we are having a giant chili barabaq.I then asked him what kind of peppers would be best for the spicy corn bread I am going to bake. He started to explain them to me. I must have looked like a deer with headlights in my eyes! He said, "Come with me, I will show.We walked over to the peppers sectionby the time we got there we were talking about the idea I had to STUFF SOME HOTTER PEPPERS WITH CHEESE.I told him I know how to grill the peppers, my question is which peppers? A few people around us started laughing. The deli guy handed me 3 of the peppers. At this point, an extremely nice elderly lady customer interrupted him. She put the peppers he had back, and then picked out better ones. Sadly for me, I don't speak Spanish, in her language she went on in detail to explain how to pick the correct peppers to us, as well as the recipe. the deli man told me exactly how to make the stuffed peppers.WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO END THE YEAR.He ran back to the deli and got me the cheese I was going to need to make the stuffed peppers. He then went on telling me to be sure I used good toothpicks to keep the peppers from falling apart.I contribute everyone's positive frame of mind to the orderly fashion of this store!I just want to say 1 thing here. Language shouldn't be a barrier to kindness and respect for each other!If you have to shop during the holidays, I highly recommend this Pete's.The picture is of the correct peppers to stuff, and the cheese. Take a moment and look at how perfect these peppers are!

Scammers!! I used my credit card here once & i just noticed I been getting charged a Pete’s membership fee of $1.80. Called & spoke to a manager and they know nothing. Can’t imagine how many people they are scamming, be careful!!!!!!

I'm originally from Chicago but now I reside in Phoenix, AZ and every time I come home I gotta visit Pete's , I gave them a 4 star because they're not going to open a store in Phoenix, AZ anytime soon.

Although price for hot food is 10.99 a pound. The food is very tasty and a large variety of food to appeal to all in the family.I think customers should be reminded to use the disposal gloves while getting food.

This store is absolutely wonderful. I hadn't been here in a few years, but I've been missing out! The selection is huge! They have an assortment of products, and all are very high-quality products. This location is probably my new favorite due to making my shopping experience a 10/10. Not only do they have great products, but everything is neatly stocked, and every employee is nice and helpful. I also loved how fast and efficient people are at the register.

IF THEY COULD GET NO STARS THAT WOULD BE AWESOMEPOOOOOOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM MIGUEL THE LIQUOR SERVICE REP TO TONY THE STORE MANAGER TO MURDOCK THE DISTRICT MANAGER..Asked for a specific item that clearly stated one price... when he rung it up.. it stated a different price.. Now it’s not the customer job to go back and forth with the store worker.. the customer see a price.. that’s why they pick it up and expect to pay that price... Nooo not at the Pete’s on 4343 S. Pulaski... Miguel want to lie and tell them he was in the process of moving tags, Murdock tells me that it’s the price of whatever the ounce say... so you mean to tell me that my eyes are supposed to see this small 9 font 200 ml when you have the price in 60 font... STEER CLEAR... NO GOOD SERVICE

This wonderful store is why I've become a harsh critic of other grocery stores and even other businesses. I've been here several times and it has always been totally clean, and the staff has been very professional. It doesn't have the yuppie/hipster selection you find on the north side, but it's not such a neighborhood. Excellent produce, at way more affordable prices than Whole Foods, which is the only store I can think of that approaches such quality. For instance: what other store has terrazzo floors? You'd have to go to an expensive, upscale store on the north side and suburbs to experience what is here. Way to go...keep up the great work.

Was in the area and needed to duck in for a quick purchase and this was a really nice store. Clean, good variety of products and scored a tin of Pringles elote potato chips.
