This is a pretty long drive, and I believe it to be necessary for the grooming salon. I have a standard poodle that sees Donald. He's quite skillful and caring about this clients.

I get my dogs needs met here. Natalie my dog groomer is amazing and very patient! I can get the food my dog need to keep him healthy and active. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The only downfall is that they need more help. It's difficult to find someone when you need them.

I hate this store. To whom ever read this review do not take your dog to Petco. When I first moved to the neighborhood I took my Shih Tzu to Petco to be groomed. I don't know what they used to do to my dog, but he would act strange like he's afraid of something. One time they cut all of my dog's hair off without calling me first to let me know that this is what they had to do. I think the guy needed some extra money that day. When I called the manager she told me it's not like we can put the hair back on your dog, so what do you want us to do. That remark sent my pressure to the roof. They are not professional people at all, their customer service skills is lacking. I never took my dog back to them again. When I pick up my dog from his current groomer, he doesn't act like he's afraid. I hate even shopping there, but only do so when I need to pick up something quickly.

Went in to buy fish. Most fish were dead...floating. Staff was did not not anything about the fish. No stress coat in the bag for the fish. Just pitiful. My mother was shopping for dog supplies and had a difficult time with that as well. Terrible experience...I should've waited to go to Petsmart.

Worst experience ever! My yorkie had an 11:00am appt. We arrived around 10:30am. The groomer stated she had to clean the area because it was left dirty the day before. She then put my dog in the cage and shortly after a jerk chicken man handed her delivery. After a few hours I began calling to check on him. NO ANSWER. Tried a few more times, NO ANSWER from any department. I then went back and they couldn't find the groomer. She was in the back on break. She then finished my dog, but forgot to give me his collar & leash, so I had to drive back to pick that up. When I got there she was on a personal call. Never again, but thankfully they're closing this location.

Dealt with three sales associates today, three out of three were very, very helpful. From the associate that engaged with me regarding the treats my dog, and the associate that talked about the different dog foods and their nutritional values to the cashier, my experience was definitely an A+.

Its 4pm. I dropped my dog off at 10:30 for basic bath and haircut. I gave him a cut using Wahl pet groomers 2 weeks ago so he didn't have a lot of fur. He did had some mats underneath his neck and around his ears. Everyone knows that mats will detangle with baby powder. I paid for the flea preventative when I dropped my dog off so now I'm being told that he needs another bath and she's having problems detangling him under his belly which is only one of the two areas that needed to be cut. Then she explains it to me in a very condescending tone which I did not appreciate. It's almost six hours later and I could have just done this at home in two and a half hours and cleaned up my own mess! Not pleased at all with this location or the services I received today; especially for the price.

So every since I got my boy maltipoo I’ve always been a customer at this location. Their old team of male groomers where excellent their current staff not so much! I had a scheduled appointment at 11:30 got there at a 11:30 to getting there at 4 and the lady wasn’t done. She wanted to tell me how my dog was acting while taking his bath ( all white maltipoo with a 4 inch ; which was getting cut down to about a 2 and he was keeping his face. Any way she told me he wasn’t ready and before I walked in she wasn’t doing anything and didn’t have a dog on the table. I set in the parking lot for a hour and a half and when I came back in he still wasn’t ready just sitting there washed . I live in Indiana so I wasn’t waiting any longer! The manager did give me a refund 80$ so I wasn’t all salty but that messed up my whole Tuesday. Signed- finding a new groomer

The staff at the store was sooooooooo very welcoming, very nice and extremely helpful.Hollis is a fantastic individual.I called the store to inquire about the puppy bath and scissoring.Hollis was very helpful and patient over the phone.Hollis was very professional and accommodating.My little Chase looked so good when I picked him up. The love and attention Chase was given made me/him feel very appreciated not only as customers but as people, well Chase is a doggy, but you get the point.I loved, loved the experience I had at Petco.I did tell Hollis he must always be available because he is now mine and Chase's person.Will definitely spread the word.The entire environment was a pleasant experience.Thank you petco, Thank you Hollis!

I dropped off my 2 toy terriers to get groomed this morning and 1 ended up at the Veterinary ER because he was cut so badly he needed stitches. I’m deeply saddened and disappointed by this i will no longer be using this company for these services. Beware who you trust you fur babies with 😔

Bridget has been grooming my "sweet boy" since he was 3months old , I dried out his tender skin by trying to bath him too much! He had to be shaved!!!! He's now 11 and she's so professional and truly caring. Never fails to educate her clients.

The customer service here is off the charts. If you have any questions you can always find someone to answer them. They know their products like the back of their hands. If you’re looking for an excellent groomer ask for Donald.

Very helpful, pleasant, staff. Stopped by to buy dog food only. When I have a pleasant exchange with staff (not stalking you, but helpful) , I tend to look around. So, bought dog treats also.

The young man with locks is a walking animal encyclopedia. He didn't try to pitch or force sale us any products or animals and was able to provide answers to all our inquiries. We left feeling confident about our purchase and more knowledgeable in how to deal with our current and new pets.

The store always appears to be empty whenever I stop by. It is a clean and co-offensive smelling store. Considering all of the animals caged and being brought in. The prices are mid-range and they do have good deals/specials.

I took my Shih Tzu puppy for his first puppy trim and was helped by Tearra. She was so sweet and took the time to explain what she would do. She explained that his comfort level was important and wanted to make sure he was ok which is especially important as this is the first of many. He was with Tearra for a few hours and came out looking great. I was impressed with Tearra's professionalism and how she genuinely cared.

Vaccination ClinicLetter on our experience at the Vaccination Clinic yesterday, Sunday August 13th, 2017 at the Petco located in Marshfield Plaza @ 11720 Marshfield Ave, Chicago, IL. 60643.The two vaccination techs lacked professionalism, open disdain, intolerant and laziness.My husband and I recue unwanted and sometimes hard case animals. Baer, my 8 months female Rottcollie getting her first-time vaccinations demonstrated aggression and fear. We are also unexperienced with Baer’s type of behavioral problems is the reason we have a professional dog trainer, with training in progress.Please know first, we took all precaution with head leash, muzzle, and harness leash and had complete control at all times and during the short time our pet was in Petco.With that said, it’s our turn and without instruction on where they wanted to provide the testing and shots right away, on the floor or table, was berated by both Techs on ALL THEY COULD NOT DO, we can’t give shots if your dog keeps moving and barking, we can’t , we can’t ….blah blah…. coming from both ends and escalating the already tense situation. This went on for 2 very long minutes until I spoke my observation, “you two must be new at this” is when they decided to act professionally and like every other professional in their field, take control of the situation.Once they did, few more seconds later our pet was calm and not moving or barking while one tech put Baer in head lock and another tech administered test and shots……Also, besides the friendly professional lady that was registering and assisting with rabies certification paperwork, the two techs were openly overwhelmed and frustrated, it’s hard not to take something like this personal, especially when you are dealing with something as important as your family member, your pet.It was a long day for a lot of us, but fortunate for the two techs, my husband and I have more tolerance and understanding and know that unprofessionalism, disdain for the task and unwillingness comes from lack of education and training.

This location is going out of business. Chances are that, by the time you're reading this it's over. I got there when they were selling the fixtures. On the other hand, they were super friendly.

This establishment is NOT the place to go if you are looking for POND things.... NO spring diet food and NO Koi assortment!. They have displayed this same behavior for the past 3 years !!!!!

It was clean, and I found what I was looking for. The reason for the 3 stars, they had limited quantities of the dog food I always buy there, due to no fault of their own, it was a manufacturing issue. UGH!!😠

I don't think you should keep a pet for 10 hours for a grooming. My dog has such anxiety now about going to the groomer from Petco I don't think that we're going to return

They offer dog training, grooming, as well as pet supplies. They also sell little crabs, and the staff is really helpful.

This place has pretty good customer service. Make sure you do research yourself though cause they will try and,sell you extra stuff you don't necessarily need.

I absolutely hated my time here my maltese had an appointment for grooming at 8:30 when I arrived the doors were locked when someone came to open the door I didn't get a good morning or even a hello the groomer didn't great me either when she was ready to see me she put a leach around my dogs neck my dog uses a harness then she dragged her for a bit until she started to walk then she tried to pitch her up with one hand from the back and my dog nipped ad her after she refused service she put notes on my account that my dog tried to bite her don't go there

Did not like this petco they had dead fish in various tanks and no one to help me get a fish tank and after 20min there some one came to help me get a salt water fish but did not like store employees on cell phones and talking

Food was cold,crab legs were water logged and didnt have much of a flavor but staff was excellent.
