Easily my favorite of the larger pet supply stores, PSP always has a nice selection of products priced reasonably. Great store for first time pet owners as they are generally more knowledgeable and willing to help than in similar stores.

I shop at this 31st Ashland location regularly because this pet store is one of the only places in the city that carries my pet's kibble. While I'm glad for some of the selections and options here, I am sad to say that the customer service at the cash wrap/ register is very unfriendly and is as if most, not all of the cashiers can care less if you shop here. This is what MY experience has been every single time except once. Having an extensive retail background, I can sympathize with "having a bad day" and having to deal with the public when folks sometimes may not be pleasant, but that is not the case for me as a "customer" when I shop. I'm pleasant and compassionate but I also know the deep importance of being personable, exuding customer service and at least "pretending" to care about folks that patronize your store because it fosters customer retention and LOYALTY... I also every time I shop have to "pry" any information about any specials and discounts even when there is signage displayed on products on the store shelves and if I have a coupon I received via mail or email. There seems to be hesitancy to honor my coupons and inquiry to "show" the cashiers that there is signage promotions within the store. It is a disservice to make any customer "feel" unwelcomed while patronizing your store and if it were not for my pet's diet choice and the location convenience I would take my business elsewhere. Pet Supplies Plus can do better than this. Such a shame.... disappointed...😞Update- I revisited this location Friday, February 2,2024 and I must say the staff was available, greeted upon entering, I asked for assistance and was given it professionally and politely. While shopping, another customer in another aisle sneezed and a sales associate in my aisle was attentive and offered Blessings to that guest. When reaching the cash wrap I was greeted and serviced and thanked for coming. I had never seen or was ever serviced by any of these employees but it was a much better experience compared to the many other times I've shopped at this location. I cannot express the importance of good , welcoming customer service as it fosters customer retention and LOYALTY and I appreciated the experience I had on this day. To the employees working this evening, I thank you for such personable customer service , IT MATTERS. I hope this continues.

Love washing my doggie here lol he’s a pittie and it can be very hard sometimes to wash him at home! I come here for the self wash and sometimes buy my pups some baked treats. We both love this place. Super clean the times I’ve gone tbh

Our local pet store. Great rewards, sales and free pickup options. Walk-in nail trimming and grooming by appointment. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Don’t be fooled by Hours of operations to them it means finish early yet remain open. The dog washing station was closed 2hrs early. They turned us away from traveling in the snow 30 mins to arrive at the store 2 hrs before it closed to give our dog a bath. When we got there, the manager said the self bath station was closed for the evening... A whole 2 hrs before the store closed. My hunch is that they just didnt want to clean the bathing stations anymore for the evening. I am very disappointed with the service or lack of service from this location.

I’m so disappointed with the self wash experience. Their equipment broken and tubs are filthy.. the smell that comes out the pipes is horrendous -mold!!! Also I went in around 5pm , it was very quiet and a slow night with maybe 4 employees, you would think one of them would look after their self wash. all the employees look unbothered.

Great selection and customer service. One on the baby ferrets did look to have an eye infection, but this can commonly happen when housed together. But otherwise, all the animals seemed healthy.

Self wash station was a filthy mess. Water and hair everywhere. The air dryer hose was damaged and blowing cold air. There was no clean towels yet 2 bins full of used towels that had a stench. The aprons were in poor condition and dirty. Staff doesn't care and plays on their phone while whole store in dissaray.The store used to be very clean and organized. I live nearby and been coming since it had opened. Somewhere down the road it just started to decay. I hope that things can get reversed.

Came on to use the Doggie wash. Even though we just needed to do something simple, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The wash tub area was clean as well. Sometimes at some other places, there's dog hairs everywhere. It was nice and clear of that.

I and my dog come once a week for bath stations there. Clean and fresh towels.Ginger loves her bath time there. Also able to pick up food and treats. Sam and Brit are great people who are there. Answer any questions on products to. Keep up great work. Thank you

For a smaller store, they have a good selection. If you’re looking for a specific brand, you might want to call and see if they carry it. I don’t have a dog, but I often see people buying the doggie bakery items they carry. They also have a good selection of fresh and freeze dried foods, more for dogs than cats but that’s everywhere.

I quit shopping there. I spend a lot of money there. A few days ago I took a clearance bag of dog food for a price check the cashier and manager asked me if I'm putting clearance stickers on it. Where would I get them from? The store is constantly dirty and worn down. Avoid this place if possible. You lost a customer that was there since day one. This cash paying customer is done!

Every time I shop here it has been such a pleasant experience. This time around, Antonio (manager) and Esmeralda were incredibly helpful. Antonio was being pulled in a million different directions between customers and he had such a calm and professional manner throughout it all. I can't give it a full 5 stars due to the fact that it was my first time going in. However there was a plethora of options for all pets. Seems the name fits. I saw brands I recognized and brands I've never heard of. The staff that were in the grooming section had 2 dogs that weren't mine. They were grooming them very professionally and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. It's nice to know that your pets will be properly taken care of.

The cashier was so rude she was taking her sweet time attending me and having a conversation with someone else and completely ignoring me. She would tell me it’s a 15 minute wait and that turned into a 45 minute wait. I was recommended by a friend but I was really disappointed. There was a mess in the grooming section and there was not enough towels. And several employees didn’t have masks on.
