Recently my brother‘s dog tore his ACL. We were recommended Liz‘s shop as a great space to go to to learn about clean ways you could feed your pet.Liz is so knowledgeable and she was helpful teaching us about raw diets and its benefit for our dogs. I recently got a puppy and I must say that since switching him to a raw diet I’ve seen big change in his coat and seasonal allergies.Liz was even able to recommend a book to help me learn how to be a better pet owner. One of the best books I’ve read in a while. Honestly could not recommend her more and her entire staff!

Absolutely THE best place to get your pets health on track! Liz is VERY knowledgeable and even does research for you if your pet has an ailment. She is devoted to pet health and would NOT steer you in the wrong direction. She’ll advise you on what your furry companion needs for optimal health and longevity. I get my raw meat and supplements from here and would highly recommend you visit Liz for just a short discussion. After speaking with Liz, I now anticipate that my pup will be here for longer than most other dogs who are fed cheap kibble diets!

They were the only shop to carry the specific brand and flavor of dog food I was looking for. I learned a lot from the owner. She helped me understand why my dog was having issues with certain proteins. Very informative. I will now only shop here. Glad I found this place. Owner also recommended herbs to help my dog with reccurent ear infections. Had a wonderful time here. Owner was much more help than my actual vet.

When I say this experience was amazing…… I feel like I am not even giving enough credit. I read numerous reviews about this place and my wife and I decided to take the hour drive to check this place out and we were both blown away. We have always wanted to feed our 3 Chinese shar peis raw for over a year now but have always been hesitant with the amount of issues this breed tends to have. Going into this store gave us the piece of mind that we needed to start all 3 of them on a raw diet and we cannot wait to start this journey. When I tell you every worker at this store has over the top knowledge and is amazing it’s not an exaggeration. If you are serious about feeding your pet raw and going a different route with their lifestyle then this is the place to visit!! Thank you again Liz for everything. You are AMAZING and we will ALWAYS make that hour drive for our fur babies to give them the best they deserve!

I am obsessed with Liz. She saved my golden retriever. And also knows everything about anything dog-related. She's basically a free-advice functional medicine vet. I literally went to Dr. Royal who is amazing by the way who is a functional medicine vet and she told me a majority of what Liz also told me which is diet diet diet.My dog Griffey was getting hot spots as a puppy and losing his hair, the conventional western medicine vet just put him on an antibiotic and said that it's normal. After changing his diet to full raw (listening to Liz and Dr. Royal) - his fur is like silk and is the happiest and healthiest golden. I admit that it's expensive but so is eating organic and purchasing local products from farmer markets.In the long run, I think we will save more money on keeping him healthy than paying towards vet visits. It is also a HUGE perk that is right down the block from my favorite gym The Garage Chicago.

Liz’s help with selecting the right food for my 12 year old lemon beagle quite literally probably saved her life. Our last apartment unknowingly had mold and she gained a ton of weight, developed numerous golf ball sized lipomas, was on allergy meds, developed moderate-severe heart murmurs out of nowhere, and also had to take arthritis and nerve medication. This all happened within a years time and I did not know what else to do...she couldn’t jump anymore and stairs were difficult to say the least. Vets did not seem to believe me. By following Liz’s recommendations for diet and natural/gentle mold detox, my little old lady has lost over 17 inches since mid-October!! She is running/jumping/using stairs like a puppy, shes off all arthritis/nerve/allergy meds, her lipomas are nearly gone, and her coat is SO soft and full again. Again...Liz essentially saved my dogs life because her quality of life was deteriorating very quickly before. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have been recommended to Liz’s Pet Shop by a friend. Most of my friends who own dogs ONLY trust this place as well. Sincerely and truly, thank you 🙌🏼.

My wife and I use to live around the corner from this pet shop where we used to get food for our animals. We were so grateful for the unbeatable prices, but even more grateful for what Liz taught us about feeding our animals and what was most healthy for them. This place is truly amazing! You can feel good that any products there are good quality. What separates Liz's from all others is her extreme knowledge about how to help pets with different ailments. Our dog has suffered from horribly itchy skin and hot spots for years. We've gone to multiple dermatologists and spent tons on special products. With her suggestions we avoided certain meats and have no issues at all!!! None!! They are all so kind and it just feels like a small hometown place. They track discounts for you too and always offer samples!! I could go on!! :)

Liz also has a generous rewards program and always keeps you informed of any manufacturer rebates or incentives.
