Stopped in because my little fur ball decided he didn’t like the food we’ve been feeding him. Super clean facility and friendly well informed staff. We were told about the many first-time discounts and took home several packs of food. We got details on how long each route of food is good for and exact measurements for a smooth transition. Our little Ozzie IMMEDIATELY loved it and had No tummy issues. Definitely will be coming back!Pic of his happy face after eating for the team to enjoy :)

I hate to see the reviews that have nothing to do with the products or service bringing down the overall rating. I got the frozen fresh meals (chicken and rice and fish and sweet potatoes) for my dog’s birthday, and he seemed to love them. Placing the order online was easy, the pick up was seamless, and the employees were kind. Can’t really ask for more than that.

Okay quality food, very low quality management, poor business practices. not a dog centered companyIt's okay. Ordered late September and received a batch of 12 that expired in November which is less than 5 weeks as well as another batch of 12 that expired in December. They advertise that it expires in about 2 years. Called in and they said they have "no control" over fulfillment and company policy is to send food out that's greater than 60 days. Said they couldn't do anything about it. Than they proceeded to gaslight and told me if I had called earlier. Many more alternatives than this poor company. Your hard earned dollar is better spent elsewhere.

Do not order directly from the company. Order from Chewy instead of you need this food. My order was placed 3 weeks ago and has NEVER been shipped. I have called multiple times and told a replacement was being sent out and it twice it never was. They made no effort to correct it and didn't offer anything else to keep me as a customer. My dog needs the hepatic pantry formula so it's critical to not run out which I did because of the huge delay. I called Chewy who had a case here in 24 hours and also refunded the frozen hepatic formula for my dog not liking it whereas the actual company would not unless I drove it to the kitchen in Illinois when I am in Ohio. They don't stand by the guarantee at all. The food is expensive and if Chewy didn't offer it, I would never buy it

Extremely friendly staff. My dog, Max, was recently diagnosed with silica bladder stones. The vet said that we had to change his diet. She recommended just food for dogs. After calling their corporate office and speaking with one of their dietitians they recommended venison and squash diet. Max has been on this for about a year. Max just got a clean bill of health.

Horrible place to work. Employees definitely don’t follow food safe regulations and quite often cross contaminate things. The food consistency is never the same. One day you get perfectly cooked rice, the next day it’s so mushy the dogs won’t even eat it. There’s also little to no parking available. There’s a 3 port car park. The parks are so close together your car WILL get ding when someone opens their car door. Management is dreadful and the kitchen staff- two employees in particular are just horrible human beings. This place had so much potential but the kitchen staff and management surely ruined any greatness they should’ve achieved. It’s cheaper and easier to make the food yourself. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend.

Nick was amazing from the first time I called the store to the moment I walked in. I live 1 hour away and his customer service on the phone and answers to my questions made the drive worth it. Thank you, Nick for being kind and helpful. You have a customer for life. And as an amazing bonus, my very picky Cockapoo ate the entire sample bowl of fresh beef on the way home. Bella loved it.

I was looking up the Chicago Store phone number and noticed the rating and couldn’t believe it. Really people gave a bad reviews for things that had nothing to do with the product. No they do not have cat food which is implied in the name and I am sorry they did not hire you. Our experience has been nothing short of wonderful. Our dog allergies have totally gone away and our pup loves it. The company seems very ethical and you can buy the food pre-made or you can buy the trace mineral supplements (so important for dogs for a balanced meal) for a small price and make your own. They actually give you the recipe. Seriously, name a company that would ever give you the recipe! We love them and buy pre-made food and we make some. It is very reasonably priced for the quality.

Where I would love to give "Just food for dogs" a 5 star rating they are always out of the hepatic formula. I have a 15 year old dog that does great on the food but it seems to be out of stock online and in stores all the time!!! Sadly I will have to switch to something else and I won't recommend this company to anyone who relies on support diets.

Our dog was diagnosed with Renal Disease and I was advised to give, Just Food For Dogs a try. Since my dog needs a renal diet, I had to find something he liked. Well, I’m very happy to have found this place! Their staff is unbelievable caring and will go above and beyond to help answer all your questions. Super helpful and understanding. The kitchen is at the store, food gets prepared there! That’s amazing for me!

This place is what we have been dreaming of. It’s so complicated to decide what to feed our two small dogs with all the options now a days. They staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They made awesome recommendations for our dogs. When you walk in you can smell and see the fresh ingredients so you can rest assured you know what’s in their food.

Decided to give this place a try since my dog, Mugsy, has been quite the picky eater lately. Right away we were greeted and felt welcomed. Tess really took her time explaining everything to us about the food and the process and how we should transition Mugs to the new food. After a week on Just for Dogs, we have noticed a big change in the way she eats. She is excited about meal time now and will wait by her bowl.

Good place to go if you want more vet bills. This food made my dog incredibly sick. I do not recommend it.Update: their customer service service is just as bad.

There are NOT enough stars for this business.As you walk in you will be greeted and then taking it a step further the staff will offer nutrition advice or help in switching your furbabies food from another brand to theirs or which variety to start with. My Dolce was eating Whole Hearted but then he wasn’t, then Solid Gold then he wasn’t it’s been 5 months and I think this picky eater has found his groove. Never have he ran at mealtime he does now, rarely do he eat when I put his food down, he does now, rarely does he finish what I put down he does now and it makes me happy.JFFD thank you for making my heart smile and my dog dance.I’ll share a video of him running to eat soon
